Unbelievable, how poor the service!!! I have always been a fan of the Archery Club. I used to go all the time and I knew everyone, but now that I haven't been in a few years I go in, it is unbelievable how bad they treat people they don't know!! worst experience in a retail store ever I was told 4 to 5 days to break my bow down, this is after the person behind to counter looked at me like I was speaking Spanish to him! He then walked in the back and asked someone who I have personally witnessed take a bow apart, and put back together in less than five minutes. (All I wanted was my bow apart!) I want to have a custom paint job performed on it. I have referred the Archery Club religiously to friends that have all told me that their experience was poor. It's a very clean facility, great range with a bunch of beautiful shoulder mounts, and being able to shoot out to 40yds in an indoor cool range in the summer is a massive benefit! I'm new in town and hadn't shot a bow in a few years. I walked in and was pleasantly surprised with the layout of the store. I was immediately greeted by staff and bow options were given according to what I was looking for. Multiple bows were set up and I was able to shoot each bow until I was comfortable with my selection. I had to cut my visit short due to picking up my son from school but went back an hour later. I had purchased a new sight and arrow rest from AAC some months ago, and they installed them for me. I was having trouble sighting in when I finally got around to it, and walked in and asked for help. A tech immediately took the bow and started working on it, without bothering to check whether I'd purchased the sight from them--no question, no asking for the receipt I didn't have. Within 20 minutes, the problem was solved! They also graciously gave me free range time to test the bow. Russ in the reason! I have met many people in the archery community as I have been shooting my entire life and moved around from state to state. I recently needed new strings on my sons bow and Russ was available when we walked in. He took his time to ask us questions on shooting, arrows, and other small talk to ensure that what we needed was correct. My son and I walked around and checked out the shop as it was our first time in. Russ took his time on a busy Saturday and answered all of our questions. I returned a week ago to shoot a couple of new bows as my current setup was a bit old. Again Russ was there at the desk fletching arrows and jumped up to help me decide between the Phase Four and the Hoyt VTM. He allowed me to take my time to shoot each one and decide what was best for me... The price was not an issue as they were priced the same... Russ even allowed me to shoot his personal bow that he just set up to see the difference between all three. He and I discussed the valley in each bow and I landed on the 31" VTM due to the valley being best for me. I called and spoke to the Owner Kenny to find out the cost of sighting in my new Bear Pledge Compound Bow I got for Christmas. He was a great wealth of knowledge, and he was so kind as to accommodated my Birthday Budget. He walked me through the set up of zeroing in my arrow rest and I was set up with a great. I was Set up with a great Scott Archery Blitz Release. Typically I would wait and Amazon Prime it but it was a great value for knowledge and set up and I will be returning to have the Draw Weight dropped for an introductory break in and building muscle memory. As a beginner, all I can do is review the service and general look of the store. Everyone is friendly and helpful, and the store is wide open with lots of space and very well organized. The selection looks quite broad from my inexperienced view. The shooting area is bright and open, with all the things you need for comfortable and safe archery. We're taking one of their family classes and like it so far. Would recommend it for any beginner, and it seems like experienced archers should check it out too. read more

I brought my bow in for a tune and paid up front. I went to pick it up and they increased the price and said they have no record of me ever paying up front. They admitted to changing their payment system. I provided credit card proof but still had to pay the price difference. I bought a bow for my son, they didn't have it in stock and had to order it. They told me they would set it for free since it was bought in house. After the bow arrived they charged me for the initial setup. There are some nice coaches and folks behind the counter but watch out for your wallet in the process. read more

I've been shooting a bow for almost 35 years (yes I'm getting old) and one thing I have always disliked about archery shops is the overflowing testosterone ego that seems to permeate each one. Az Archery Club has proven to be different. I ordered some arrows and was making some changes to my norm and even though the guy on the phone probably thought I was a newbie he never treated me that way and was super helpful. Just so happened that I received an early Christmas present of a new bow prior to picking up my arrows (yes I'm blessed) and brought it with me to get it set up. They took care of me with amazing customer service and sincere desire to get it right. I also watched as they set up a new customer who had a lot of questions and was pleasantly surprised at the time they took to make sure he understood all of his options and never made him to feel stupid or bad due to inexperience. There are people new to archery and hunting that walk into shops every day and I would definitely suggest AAC from what I have seen to those who don't want to feel pressured or feel less than just because you are a beginner. Spent about 3 hours this morning with Mike at Arizona Archery Club. Haven't had a bow for about 15 years, now retired I have the time to spend and enjoy bow hunting. Mike was very knowledgeable and I felt comfortable with him from the start. I shot the Hoyt Ventum, Elite Remedy and Matthews V3 31. I choose the Matthews, going in I thought I might come away with the Hoyt or Elite, that's why it's good to go in with an open mind. They were out of stock but it's in their next order arriving in 3 weeks or so, being patient is worth practicing. We spent a lot of time working out the arrow details to achieve an arrow weight around 550 gr. (Adult Arrow?) with a 17%+ FOC. I would certainly recommend Arizona Archery Club for anyone interested in any archery disciplines, ask for Mike. read more

The first time I came in, I was brand new to archery and a little intimidated until I walked in. The entire staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Since then, I've been in multiple times and have bough a bow from them as well. They are very knowledgeable but also great at giving simple, yet detailed instructions and feedback on what to look for, tips for shooting better, and bow maintenance. I've been very happy with Arizona Archery Club. If you are new to the sport and wanting to learn more this is a great place to start. I haven't needed to, but I've heard great things from others about their staff and ability to tune and refine their bow. This is a nice archery shop. The shop area is nice; the selection isn't big, but they do carry name brand bows. The air conditioned indoor range is fairly nice and a good way to escape from the heat. The targets go out to 45 yards. Staff is pretty knowledgeable and helpful. The price is pretty good if you go 1-2 times a week - $300 for a year which amounts to around $6 per week. If you go once, its like $10, which is a little steep, but you're basically paying for shooting in the comfort of air conditioning. However, there are two reasons why I give this place three stars: 1. Inconvenient hours. If you work during the day, you have limited opportunities to shoot. There is a 3-D shoot in Wednesday night, a JOAD practice on Thursday nights, and the range closes at 6 on Friday, so you basically have fours days per week to shoot if you get home late. There website also isn't very good at informing of these events. I was turned away from this place twice because 1) I didn't know about the Wednesday night 3-D shoot, and 2) a discrepancy between the hours posted on the website and what is posted on the front door. 2) The shoot area can get congested. They don't allow bowcases in the range, which is understandable because space is pretty congested. This means that if you shoot a recurve, you have to set up outside. Compunds are okay though. Also, they charge $1 for a target face. Overall, a nice place to shoot, despite the shortcomings. read more

This place is clean and the employees are friendly. We did not have a class or lesson but the employees gave my son tips. Everyone was helpful and very informative. Annual memberships available, great value! Bright, air-conditioned, lots of lanes to shoot, 3D targets too, retail store, break area and lots of cool elk, deer and bear mounts on the walls. Exception facility, staff and service! I drive 300+ miles from Vegas to get my bow serviced at AZ Archery Club. Looks like a very viable ongoing enterprise selling current equipment and plenty of it in stock. The owners are super friendly, knowledgeable and responsive as are their staff members. They're all accomplished hunters as well. The retail showroom and indoor ranges are all neat, clean and professional. I only wish and dream that we could have such a great store and staff here in Vegas but we don't so I make the trip. read more

Great place to come and practice archery indoors in Phoenix, which is awesome during the summer time heat. You can't go wrong with an indoor archery range. The staff are friendly and willing to share their shooting experiences and knowledge with you so you can make the proper decisions about your purchases. It would be nice to see them carry a few more brands of equipment. Would like to see them stay open a little longer as most people work during the day and if the range closes at 8pm, it makes it tough to get there after work to shoot for more than an hour or so. read more
