July 12 visit. A wonderful place! I went with my family of various ages, teenagers and adults and my mother; and we were all able to have our own lanes to shoot, we had our own guns, but also we were able to rent other guns. We shot targets for an hour and it was amazing because we enjoyed learning new things and I was able to show my family some techniques that they don't know as they don't go to gun ranges to try out new pistols in New York City. My reason for the 4 stars is... it just would be nice if the staff would offer a quick little safety reminder of Tips to people. Even start just some basic guidelines on the rules of the facility, not necessarily how to shoot a gun, but how to be safe in the space; that way, you don't have to be spoken to, but more importantly, it would be a nice addition just to feel more comfortable. Finally, the gentleman who checked us in was attentive, knowledgeable, and a delight. I would definitely do this more when I have guest come from out of town who have never had this experience. read more

I had an absolutely traumatic and horrible experience at C2 Tactical in Scottsdale. I went there to learn and get comfortable with shooting, but instead, I felt more scared and uncomfortable than ever. The employee supervising the range was extremely reactive and overbearing, making me feel like I could do nothing right. He had previously screamed at another shooter for making a mistake and even kicked her out, so I was already on edge when it was my turn. Despite being very careful with my form--keeping my finger off the trigger, pointing the barrel correctly, etc. He stopped me and told me I could NOT shoot the gun that low. When I tried to explain my thought process about aiming lower to counteract the gun's recoil, he treated me like I was being dangerous and told me I wasn't allowed to practice that way. It felt like he didn't trust me at all, even though I was trying to learn. The whole situation left me feeling humiliated and unsafe. After he stopped me from shooting, I shot a different gun two times before he told me I could not continue shooting and I had to physically leave. I am still in shock. That reinforced my fear of guns. I'm grateful that another shooter witnessed the whole thing. He stuck up for me. I will NEVER go back to this location. Horrible experience, and I would never recommend it to anyone looking to learn and feel more comfortable shooting a gun. read more

I called up wanting to find out more about this place, including asking about private instruction, etc. I was put on automated hold, but was assured I was the " first" in the queue. However, no one ever picked up ,so I ended up calling again. After being told, I was the first person in the queue again, yet having over 10 minutes go by , I chose to have a call back which was offered. I never got a call back. I then later called the facility directly . The guy who answered the phone literally seemed altered or highly confused and struggled to have a normal conversation. He then quoted me one ridiculously low price that included an hour of private instruction, the gun rental ( 3 different types even) the ammo, targets , etc. I questioned the price immediately , but he insisted. When I asked him what time to come, he literally gave me a time that was about in 15 minutes ( and we were still on the phone!) I told him I couldn't possibly make that time and he then told me two in the afternoon. I agreed. However, as soon as I began to give my direct personal information he needed, he immediately said he had to "check on some things" and promptly hung up on me . I did not call them back, but over an hour later someone else called. I tried to explain my dissatisfaction of what had already happened, but they didn't want to hear it. They then started quoting me a lot higher prices, and for a whole lot less. I then asked to speak to a manager, and they told me that they were the lead of the callbacks, and I needed to talk with them first. By that time , I told them I just wanted to speak to a manager. They told me there was no manager . I pushed that , and they then said he had "just left" and was driving to a different facility. I was asked to be put to his voicemail. I was on hold again several more minutes ; and of course was never called back-even after telling the manager I wanted to speak to him; and leaving my number. Shooting for fun, or learning to shoot is not a cheap proposition. Being in Arizona or near Phoenix, Scottsdale, Glendale, there are lots of options to shoot or to learn to shoot. This company's sleek advertisements, the services offered, and their prices , should demand a lot more professional service by those answering a simple phone call. The manager should be wary that if his frontline staff is this disorganized, confused on pricing , hard to deal with, etc. or he himself ignores feedback calls; new customers just aren't going to be willing to risk even visiting the place. It's a hard NO from me. I wouldn't feel safe here , if a phone inquiry is too much for them to handle. read more

My husband and I love C2 Tactical. We took our concealed weapon class there about 2 years ago and had a one year membership. We went often to get experience with our guns. Today we went back on Monday's no charge target shooting for Seniors (ladies also). Some people complain about the staff supervising the shooting range but I think they are very helpful - and they do watch close to make sure all is safe. We didn't have to wait other than the time it took us to sign our new waivers. We have NO complaints. The staff is super helpful and amazing!! read more

Noah has got to go. He is a nagging nuisance who literally complained the entire time I was at the range and all I was doing was loading magazines. I felt harassed rushed and irritated the entire time I shot. Unloaded firearms inside their cases had to be oriented or pointed specifically in the direction Noah specified even when not in my possession. I'm not referring to firearms past the shooting line I'm referring to simply weapon sitting on the ground in weapons cases unloaded waiting to be loaded still inside their cases. Lifting my firearm an inch and a half from my holster so I could release my mag release to unload my magazine was another reason Noah became upset at me the thing that bothered me the most was after his manager came which was at Noah's request I specifically told the manager what a nuisance Noah was and how I would prefer to have any of the other range instructors present other than Noah. Noah insisted personally that he be present and continue to nag me while refusing to take the word yes for an answer. The guy has a chip on his shoulder. Just a reiterate how petty and stupid the range officers are I literally recorded Noah saying he's going to use my Facebook meta glasses to prove that one single loan errant buckshot pellet hit his metal Target stand. This man is conducting an investigation like I just murdered one of his children. As a member I arrive at opening time, 0900 with reservations every time. Every time, I am waiting for 5-10 minutes for the new to the facility shooters party to sign waivers and "figure there situation out". I loose approximately 10 minutes of my hour to newbies that don't have a financial vested interest or reservations. I would like to see a little customer service displayed to those that do by asking for members with reservations to please step forward first or have a designated line for us to stand in so were not wasting time . I was extremely disappointed in their customer service today. I went in to test out a pistol for my wife as the one she has she is no longer able to shoot. I was told point blank that because I was by myself, without a buddy, didn't have my own gun and was not a member, that they would not allow me to use the range. They said they had too many people use if for" nefarious" purposes. They didn't know that I had already watched their safety video and completed their waiver on line. This was my first time at a shooting range and we had a great time! I went with my girlfriend and her husband where we shared a lane. The staff was friendly and helpful, where you can tell they take pride in safety and making sure to answer your questions. Since it was a Saturday they were busy but we didnt wait in line long whenever we went to the counter for more targets. My friend signed up for the private lesson and if I lived in the area I would of also!! They had a vendor there with tasers for sale, who were informative. I was really excited about getting to taser the dummy! The prices weren't bad, the staff were helpful and friendly, and it was clean. I highly recommend!! read more

C2 Tactical in Scottsdale - An Unfortunate Tale of Two Experiences I recently switched from another gun range that I've been a member of for several years to C2 Tactical in Scottsdale. I was initially drawn by its convenient location near my home and gym, easy to use controls on the range and that many of the people I train with are members of C2 (or they were, as I've since learned that some are leaving due to poor experiences). My first experiences, particularly a range session with my mom to familiarize her with what handgun she should purchase, were positive, marked by attentive Range Safety Officers. However, a recent product purchase significantly tainted my view of C2 Tactical. I was on the range Thursday night for an impromptu date night with my wife. After an hour of live fire, I decided to use the gift card I received for Christmas to buy a new gun cleaning kit. I ultimately bought a universal gun cleaning kit recommended by a staff member, which offered several bore size options. I cleaned 2 handguns without any problems. I already had cleaning fluids so I only used the bore punch, brush and pads. Sadly, the kit was defective, with the cleaning rod breaking inside my rifle's barrel. When I tried to return it today (just days after buying it), the assistant manager's response was dismissive, pointing out that I had used the kit's mat, and refused a refund or exchange, directing me to the now-defunct manufacturer, MPro7. The process of dealing with MPro7 was frustrating, involving long waits on hold and being passed between departments, only to learn that MPro7 no longer exists. This left me with a broken, unusable product and no avenue for resolution - I'm out $65 & beyond disappointed with C2 Tactical. Selling products that the seller doesn't stand behind is one thing. Selling something that is no longer a viable product with zero customer support is another. I used my Christmas gift card and am left with no options. BUYER BEWARE!! This experience was eye-opening regarding C2 Tactical's approach to customer service. Selling a defective product and refusing to offer a solution or stand behind their sale is poor business practice. Furthermore, the assistant manager's lack of empathy and helpfulness was disappointing. If there is not any further action taken by C2 to make this right, I will not be renewing my membership and will go back to the other gun range in the area, as my experience suggests that they sell products they stand behind. Consequently, I am left with a broken gun cleaning kit, no support from C2 Tactical, and the knowledge that they sell products from a non-existent company. While I may continue to use their range facilities, my trust in their product integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction has been deeply shaken. I am in the process of buying another firearm and there is not a snowballs chance that I will be making this purchase from C2. I feel obligated to share this experience to caution others about potential product purchases at C2 Tactical. read more

The return policy on optics is INSANE. You can go almost anywhere else in the valley and have 30 to 90 days, which makes sense given how many different fits/feels/and overall likability of an optic can range. I get ammo, I get firearms, but this is a legitimately stupid policy and enough for me to say it's not worth the cost (you're not saving money here, it's just a good location with some quality items and a nice range.) Password reset wasn't working either so I gave up and called. Apparently called the least friendly and helpful man in the state with a severe attitude. Explained I needed help booking two lanes same day and he sassed me and was annoyed that I had multiple accounts made. Was just trying to book the lane. Told him not to bother helping and that I would take my family to Scottsdale gun club instead. Went there and bought a year membership for $350 and everyone was so kind and helpful. C2 Tactical Scottsdale is one of the nicest indoor shooting ranges in Phoenix. If you only use the range, that is. I'm giving it only 3 stars for two reasons: First, the ammo prices here are ridiculous. Which is fine, because nobody goes to C2 to buy ammo... until you're at the range, you ran out of ammo, and need a box or two, or if you're renting a gun from C2 - then you'll have to pay almost double what you'd pay at Scottsdale Gun Club or Northwest Armory located within 15 minutes drive. So don't count on buying ammo at C2, and probably don't rent guns here ether. Second, my attempt to use C2 as a gun store, and not just a shooting range, ended in C2 losing me as a customer forever. I thought I'd support them since I have a membership here, but it ended in a very disappointing manner. Luckily Scottsdale, and Phoenix metro in general have a lot of great gun stores - the abovementioned Scottsdale Gun Club and NW Armory, Bear Arms, and Tombstone Tactical are ones I used before, had a much better buying experience, and will happily support with my business instead of C2 Scottsdale. But the range is good, and memberships are reasonably priced, so there's that. read more

I've been to other indoor shooting ranges, including C2 Tactical Tempe, and I have never had a bad experience anywhere. My experience at C2 Tactical Scottsdale was absolutely terrible. I went with three other people, two of which had never been to a shooting range before, who were nervous and in an unfamiliar environment. Instead of calmly helping these "first-timers" the employee supervising the range was aggressive and threatening and created a very uncomfortable environment for everyone. The two women in our group were inexperienced or first-time shooters who's aim was "too high" and "too low". They could have been helped instead of threatened immediately and then kicked off the range. I and one of the friends with me were told to leave the range as well---not because we did anything wrong, but apparently for being with the two women that had already been told to leave. His treatment of customers as if they were deliberately doing something wrong created what felt like a very hostile environment where experienced shooters like myself and others felt anxious and humiliated. Another very experienced shooter and firearms instructor (who we did not know) in the lane beside us even stopped to address the employee and his tactics. He suggested that instead of humiliating customers and kicking them out of the shooting range, he could calmly correct and help these women feel more comfortable. They left the range feeling defeated, embarrassed and humiliated. Even if a range customer was making mistakes so egregious that for the safety of themselves or others they were asked to leave the range it would make sense to calmly speak with the customer and maybe even offer some kind of further explanation or training without humiliating the customer. No one came to me to explain why I was asked to leave. At this point it doesn't matter. It was by any measures the worst shooting range experience I have ever had and I would never recommend C2 Tactical Scottsdale to anyone. read more

Not very experienced with guns, but wanted to shoot a few rifles to see what it felt like. My friend and I purchased the rifle package which came with an instructor for the full hour that we had the lane. Our instructor was funny, kind, and patient. He showed us how to be safe, how to hold the guns, where to position, how to aim. Overall it was a fun experience shooting different types of rifles. The next day, I did have some bruises in my shoulder where the butt of the rifle rested. The bruises didn't hurt - they were just red bruises that cleared up in the next few days. read more

I have been a Member at C2 since they opened in Scottsdale. They consistently provide a safe and professional environment where I feel comfortable going and bringing my friends and family. The 'On Line' reservation system makes planning your visit simple and I enjoy using some of the drills that the Target system on the lanes can provide. They also have a wide variety of rental firearms that you can try out to see if they work for you and help decide if that is one that you would want to purchase The staff will always answer questions and are knowledgeable. And most importantly, Safety is a Number One Concern when on the range and I am glad they take it seriously!! And of course they keep stock of targets and ammo. read more
