The staff made us feel comfortable and were happy to assist, which really made a difference in our visit. The facility was great, and we appreciated the helpful atmosphere and excellent customer service. It was nice to spend some quality time together doing something a little different from our usual date-day routine! Overall, we had a wonderful time and left with smiles on our faces. Whether you're an experienced shooter or looking for a welcoming place to spend some time at the range, our experience was a positive one. We'll definitely keep Shooters World in mind for another visit!

We were offered 3 free rentals with our lane (Tuesdays). We just had to buy ammo. I told the guy to surprise me and pick for us. I liked 2 of the 3 he chose. The last one was a bit awkward for me to hold because the grip was far out from my trigger finger. We were offered 3 for $5 with the targets. All in all, my partner and I spent almost $100 for an hour lane rental, gun rental (x3), and targets. The reason they are missing a star is that the young lady who helped the gentleman after us put him almost right next to us. We were the only 2 lanes being used and she didn't space us out. The range has 3 sections and we were already assigned to the first lane in the middle section. It is loud, so it would have been nice if she assigned him a lane in either one of the other sections.

I shot a gun once many years ago, so had very little experience going in to this class and was a little nervous. Shawn made me feel comfortable and took the time to help me with positioning my hands when holding the gun and giving individual help to each of us. He provided detailed materials, as well as guns, targets, ammo and safety gear out on the range. It was a fun experience and I highly recommend this class!

Our class was at ~ 4920 W Thunderbird Rd #108, Glendale, AZ 85306 The class was extremely informative for both of us. Once again was completely impressed by the knowledge and how informative the class was. My daughter and I are extremely grateful for coming across Apex as well as having firsthand contact for future classes. Chase offers a wide variety of security as well for different scenarios. He is in the field of training with patience and extreme knowledge. Chase was also able to explain and make my daughter comfortable.. Definitely will be using Apex in the future for our needs and can't recommend them enough! We shot targets for an hour and it was amazing because we enjoyed learning new things and I was able to show my family some techniques that they don't know as they don't go to gun ranges to try out new pistols in New York City. My reason for the 4 stars is... it just would be nice if the staff would offer a quick little safety reminder of Tips to people. Even start just some basic guidelines on the rules of the facility, not necessarily how to shoot a gun, but how to be safe in the space; that way, you don't have to be spoken to, but more importantly, it would be a nice addition just to feel more comfortable. Finally, the gentleman who checked us in was attentive, knowledgeable, and a delight. I would definitely do this more when I have guest come from out of town who have never had this experience.

They were happy to answer questions and made the whole process easy, especially for someone who hadn't been there before. The facility itself was really nice--clean, well maintained, and professional. I also thought the pricing for the range, rentals, and ammunition was very reasonable, especially considering the selection they had available. Overall, I had a great time and would definitely come back the next time I'm in the Scottsdale area. Highly recommended for anyone visiting from out of town or looking for a quality range.

A few months ago, my home was struck by a stray bullet from a random shooting that happened in front of my house. Since then, a couple of other situations have made me feel unsafe in my own home. That experience led me to consider purchasing a firearm for home protection. I had visited other gun shops before and even spent time at the range, intending to buy a gun -- but every time it came down to making the purchase, I felt unsure and honestly a little scared. The truth was, I simply didn't have enough knowledge or confidence to feel comfortable having a firearm in my house. That's exactly why I signed up for this class -- and it was absolutely the right decision. Matt and Dan were incredibly friendly, approachable, and fun to be around. They created an environment that felt welcoming and judgment-free, which was especially important for someone like me who had some anxiety going in. The classroom portion was extremely informative and covered so many foundational things I didn't fully understand before -- safety, handling, mindset, and practical knowledge that truly builds confidence. We ended the class by going to the range and practicing with a handgun, applying the skills we had just learned. Matt and Dan were with us the entire time -- closely supervising, ensuring safety, and offering hands-on guidance. I never felt alone or unsure. They were attentive and genuinely invested in making sure everyone felt comfortable and safe. While I still plan to visit the range a few more times to continue building confidence, I now feel significantly more prepared and educated than I did before taking this course. If you've ever felt hesitant, intimidated, or unsure about owning a firearm -- especially for home protection -- I would highly recommend this class. It gave me the knowledge and confidence I was missing, and I'm very grateful for the experience.
