Gun shooting class

Hands down the best firearm safety training course! At first I was nervous not knowing what to expect or do for my first couple of classes but no worries I wasn't the only beginner. Troy , our instructor was knowledgeable, professional and personable. Great communication and several demonstrations keeping every shooter involved. Walking out of this class I felt confident understanding the basic fundamentals & then some ! Can't wait to book my next class. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to learn correctly! Basic Handgun Sustainment Training done by Troy Coe

The day I emailed Troy-owner about my concerns. 7 months ago

I honestly wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I came here wanting to gain knowledge on how to defend myself but Troy and his instructor Kristie have given VERY unprofessional customer service. I started classes at self defense back on 02/2020. Our classes had to be stopped because the school closed due to covid. Upon returning I was still being charged for classes even though Kristie herself said she would give us time to go back over what we previously learned since it had been so long. Not only was I being charged for classes I hadn't taken yet but I was also overcharged. Kristie's demeanor when I expressed this because very negative. In addition, the school also had no concerns for covid, there was no sanitation or extra steps being taken. It got to a point where I felt uncomfortable returning. I personally reached out to the owner Troy for a refund for the classes I NEVER took and the overcharge. He stated he'd process it. That was months ago. Troy now ignores all my emails. I have been patient and have given more than enough time for the school to help resolve this behind closed doors. No one should go through what I am. This school literally charged me a grand for unused services. Troy said himself that Kristie gets paid first for every student and then he handles the refunds after that and told me not to bug her since that's her paycheck even though again, she charged my card for classes I didn't even take yet. So DO NOT leave your card on file with them!!! Once they swipe it, it's Kristie's and apparently she can swipe it whenever and however much she wants to. The pictures speak for themselves.

If you do nothing else for yourself this year, go take a REDMAN or Self Defense class at Reality Defense Training. It will be among the best things you've ever done for yourself! I've often thought "what if" and had no answer as to how I'd protect myself in certain scenarios. Troy Coe, Kristie Bonner Sharp, and the excellent trainers at Reality Defense Training have replaced uncertainty with confidence. You won't find kata, forms, or belts here. This training is all real-world, practical application. Through my training at Reality Defense I've been introduced to knife, expedient weapons (using everyday items to defend yourself), hand-to-hand, grappling, and self-defense training. But it doesn't stop there. Troy and his team also teach about the psychological and practical aspects of conflict including fear management, situational awareness, legal considerations, and sparring with realistic scenarios. I cannot say enough about how grateful I am for my training with them. I've been training with them for months and I walk away from every class with new and invaluable knowledge. This training is the one experience you will always need and never regret!

I grew up with a lovely but overprotective mom who wouldn't let me participate in risky sports like football. Finally I got to play as a junior and it opened up my eyes to team sports / respect / discipline / control like nothing I had experienced before. These are things that are hard to teach in the home, it takes a village to raise good humans. As a parent of an almost 8 year old, I'm always looking for ways to help them grow and stretch their abilities and confidence without putting them in danger. This is the PERFECT place for that kind of challenge / growth. The way I see it, my kid gets all the benefits of team sports like football but at a fraction of the risk. This family is incredible and I have nothing but good things to say about their ability to challenge and help my son thrive. We've been coming for more than a year now and couldn't be happier with every aspect of the services they offer.

I have to give a huge shoutout to Eddie and the entire team for creating such an incredible MMA gym. From the moment you walk in, Natalie and Isabella at the front desk make you feel welcome. I still remember my very first day--I was extremely nervous as a tiny female stepping into such a combative sport. Natalie took the time to personally show me around and walk me to my first class so I would feel comfortable. That small act meant so much to me and is a big reason why I chose this gym. The coaches I've had the privilege of training with--Liana (my main coach), Gustavo, Bobby, and Bryce--are all professional fighters who made me feel like part of the family from day one. They push you to improve while creating an environment that is supportive, respectful, and fun. This isn't just a gym; it truly feels like a second home where you can learn, grow, build confidence, and, of course, beat each other up a little bit along the way! If you're thinking about trying MMA for the first time or you're looking for a new gym, don't hesitate. Join this place. You won't regret it. Programs Include: Brazilian Jiujitsu, No-Gi, kickboxing, competition kickboxing, and mma. They do offer private lessons and gym fitness classes as well. I do the kickboxing class.

Fight Ready really stands out as one of the best gyms our family has tried. We've sampled MMA and…read moreBJJ studios across the Valley, and nothing compares. My son only gets a couple of months each year to train these days because of his travel hockey, but he looks forward to every session. We're hoping his hockey schedule cooperates so we can stick around long past the summer. Cleanliness & Facilities: The overall cleanliness of the gym really stood out. You typically need to worry about the tumbleweed of dust and hair at a martial arts gym, but the staff seems to truly care about the cleanliness here. Front Desk Crew: The front desk team has been fantastic from day one. They welcome everyone with a smile, handle all of our questions about schedule and classes effortlessly and keep things running smoothly. Their upbeat support sets the tone for every visit. Coach Bobby's Youth Kickboxing: Bobby's kickboxing class strikes the perfect balance between challenge and fun. He encourages the kids to push their limits, celebrates their progress with high-fives, and maintains a positive, motivating atmosphere. He is also so loud and clear (in a positive and respectful way) with instruction, which is helpful to keep the attention of the kiddos. Coach Jackson's Kids BJJ: Jackson's BJJ sessions are so well organized it's like clockwork. No chaos, no random sparring from day one, just smart, safety-first teaching of cool techniques. We've seen other gyms where kids get tossed in the deep end and walk away with bumps and bruises. Not here. Coach Adam's Kids MMA: Adam's all about the fundamentals, and he makes it feel more like playtime than a drill. He's right there tweaking little details, keeping everyone moving, and cheering them on. You can practically see the "aha!" moments on their faces. Expertise & Credentials: The best part is that every coach is a master of their craft. They are professional fighters with impressive accolades, and they bring that real-world experience to training the next generation of athletes. Coach Helpers & Student-to-Instructor Ratio: Every class includes additional coach helpers, which keeps the student-to-instructor ratio low and makes a huge difference. You can tell the kids love all the coaches; they're always trying to team up with their favorite coach groups. That level of engagement shows the staff is doing a great job keeping the kids focused and interested.

I told him that his classes were not the right fit for me and that I would appreciate a partial refund, but he responded by telling me "there would be no refund, I was the problem". Not only is this unprofessional, but very demeaning to anyone trying to achieve their fitness goals. A normal coach would be understanding of the need for different techniques, and James was a HUGE bully.
