They were happy to answer questions and made the whole process easy, especially for someone who hadn't been there before. The facility itself was really nice--clean, well maintained, and professional. They also had a great selection of rental firearms, including some options that I don't normally get a chance to shoot back home. I also thought the pricing for the range, rentals, and ammunition was very reasonable, especially considering the selection they had available. Overall, I had a great time and would definitely come back the next time I'm in the Scottsdale area. Highly recommended for anyone visiting from out of town or looking for a quality range.

I recently took the Handgun Tier 1 Ignite class at Scottsdale Gun Club with Matt and Dan, and I'm…read moretruly glad I did. A few months ago, my home was struck by a stray bullet from a random shooting that happened in front of my house. Since then, a couple of other situations have made me feel unsafe in my own home. That experience led me to consider purchasing a firearm for home protection. I had visited other gun shops before and even spent time at the range, intending to buy a gun -- but every time it came down to making the purchase, I felt unsure and honestly a little scared. The truth was, I simply didn't have enough knowledge or confidence to feel comfortable having a firearm in my house. That's exactly why I signed up for this class -- and it was absolutely the right decision. Matt and Dan were incredibly friendly, approachable, and fun to be around. They created an environment that felt welcoming and judgment-free, which was especially important for someone like me who had some anxiety going in. The classroom portion was extremely informative and covered so many foundational things I didn't fully understand before -- safety, handling, mindset, and practical knowledge that truly builds confidence. We ended the class by going to the range and practicing with a handgun, applying the skills we had just learned. Matt and Dan were with us the entire time -- closely supervising, ensuring safety, and offering hands-on guidance. I never felt alone or unsure. They were attentive and genuinely invested in making sure everyone felt comfortable and safe. While I still plan to visit the range a few more times to continue building confidence, I now feel significantly more prepared and educated than I did before taking this course. If you've ever felt hesitant, intimidated, or unsure about owning a firearm -- especially for home protection -- I would highly recommend this class. It gave me the knowledge and confidence I was missing, and I'm very grateful for the experience.

Huge shout out again to Scott and the team for going the extra mile and making sure we had a great experience. Highly recommended and will be back.

July 12 visit. A wonderful place! I went with my family of various ages, teenagers and adults and…read moremy mother; and we were all able to have our own lanes to shoot, we had our own guns, but also we were able to rent other guns. We shot targets for an hour and it was amazing because we enjoyed learning new things and I was able to show my family some techniques that they don't know as they don't go to gun ranges to try out new pistols in New York City. My reason for the 4 stars is... it just would be nice if the staff would offer a quick little safety reminder of Tips to people. Even start just some basic guidelines on the rules of the facility, not necessarily how to shoot a gun, but how to be safe in the space; that way, you don't have to be spoken to, but more importantly, it would be a nice addition just to feel more comfortable. Finally, the gentleman who checked us in was attentive, knowledgeable, and a delight. I would definitely do this more when I have guest come from out of town who have never had this experience.

After consulting with my ChatGP "buddy\advisor" specific screws were crucial to successful install. I purchased them separately from Amazon. Steve didn't like the head tapering. He asked permission to use his own screws. Upon my affirmation, he proceeded to his belt sander to make custom length modifications on his own screws. He treated my Tracker like a surgeon with his scalpels being a host different punches, screwdrivers, and Allen wrenches. He was intriguing to watch! Not only did he calibrate my scope perfectly, I asked him if he could take a quick look at my 9mm semi with a green dot laser to check its alignment. "No problem". Done in a jiffy. I can't recommend Steve more highly!

I spent over 30 minutes talking with Samson,…read morethe former gunsmith who now works at the shop, and he was by far one of the most patient and knowledgeable people I've ever spoken with in this kind of setting. He took the time to walk me step by step through the loading, unloading, and firing process of one of the smaller, faster projectile launchers, and made sure I felt completely comfortable before moving on. As the daughter of military members, I grew up surrounded by people with extensive firearms experience, which often makes me feel like a fish out of water with my own very limited background. My experience has only been three pistol classes with a .40, and my fear of firearms has always been difficult to share or explain. Despite that, I felt completely welcomed and respected at Byrna--never talked down to, never rushed, and all of my questions were answered with patience and clarity. The amount of care Samson put into making sure I understood everything stood out to me, and it's rare to find that level of customer service anywhere. If you're curious about non-lethal defense options, especially if you're new, nervous, or inexperienced, I cannot recommend this shop highly enough. Byrna Scottsdale--and Samson in particular--made the whole experience approachable, safe, and empowering.
