Hubby and I were out Christmas shopping and this was our first stop. We didn't expect much options because it is relatively small shop and recent gun ownership surge. We were so wrong. Lots of options here from rifles, handguns, revolvers, shotguns, knives and not to mention accessories. They also have ammo. I was surprised how expensive ammos are now but that's everywhere. Staff here are super friendly and helpful without pressure. Btw, they also have gunsmith. Highly recommend. read more

Ammo like Speer Gold Dots, affordable plinking stuff, to Hornady's premium rifle rounds. And of course, a Kentucky rifle. read more

After visiting several area firearm stores we found one that we trust and feel that the owner and his staff have our best interest at stake. Mr. Olsen took the time to talk to my husband and I about our needs and desires and sold us just the right gun for us. There was no hard sale to buy something expensive that was more than what we wanted. We were made to feel welcome even though our purchase would not be a high priced item. They are fair to their clients, and very well priced, also. We highly recommend Olsen Firearms! read more

Friendly neighborhood Gun shop. They'll take the time to talk to you about whatever. Great small local business.

Thank you Karl and Aaron and the whole team- y'all were amazing in helping me with my purchase. Ended up buying the most beautiful one and am so happy with it. Can't wait to take her shooting. They made the process seamless and we're most helpful, knowledgeable and personable. Will be back. read more

Olson firearm is a full retail Gun store and also has some of the highest prices in the valley. It is a nice little store. They generally have a lot of variety and the place is clean and very presentable. Customer service is terrible probably the worst customer service I've ever had in a gun store amd I'm not your average gun buyer. I was a customer for two or so years in which I purchased a half a dozen or so weapons, multiple attachments/optics and ammunition. Recently had an issue with a rifle I bought from them and it end up having to be sent back to the manufacture after going to their gunsmith that they use. This was a six month ordeal which isn't the end of the world. Upon getting it back, I still had the same issues even running the recommended ammo that the manufacturer requested me to use. (Remind you Olsons sold me the rifle and all the ammo that was not cycling with mark up of course) I brought it back to Olson's and just specifically said I'd like to try to get my money back and immediately was met with an attitude from the owner, which is a very unprofessional individual. The owner, is a Primadonna plain and simple and clearly thinks very highly of himself and has a lot of feelings. Trust me you're not special my friend. This is not the first issue that I've had with this gun store. Even simple things such as the purchase of my Mossberg shockwave shotgun with the black aces tactical rail set up through these guys was also a nightmare. Of course it was always somebody else's fault and they had nothing but excuses. If you do decide go into this store and purchase something and Carl is working. Carl is an absolute pleasure to deal with and genuinely good man and the ONLY reason I continued to go into this store from time to time. Not anymore. Good luck if you do decide to and spend your hard earned money here. I highly recommend any of the other gun stores in the area. Mr. Guns in Cave Creek would be my number one recommendation for those of you reading this. Rich is a standup guy and will treat you with great customer service and will get you whatever you're looking for or need without hesitation for a reasonable price. read more

Never been to this store so decided to drop in on my lunch break. Walked out w 2 plinkers in 45min. Pretty nice guys work here. Love their selection of firearms. They carry stuff no one else does. read more

I tried this place out for a FFL transfer and I absolutely loved this place. They have everything in stock and there's not a hour long wait to be served. The employees were very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. I'm definitely going to be coming back here for my future firearm needs. read more

Kyle (the owner)?and his team go above and beyond to make your feel like family. After driving over 30 miles, there was a mix up with the store hours. Kyle called me and apologized. I ended up making the trip again later in the week to make a purchase. Karl was great to work with. I will definitely coming back even though I have shop at another business closer to home. read more

went in and the sales guy has a customer so I waited and waited....they were just shooting the breeze. A good sales guy can wait on more than one customer at a time or they shouldn't be in sales. I walked out. read more

A while ago, but I got a sig m400 at the best price around. The fellow that helped me (sorry, I don't rember his name) was friendly and informative and didn't have an attitude about my teeny tiny amount of info on rifles. It was a great experience at a small local store that should be what we all support. read more

Great store, super friendly staff. Everything you need and more. Do yourself a favor and stop by.

Fantastic people good selection of firearms went in with my dad they were very respectful and were always looking for a way to help

I am a long time shooter and new resident of Scottsdale, I was a walk in with just a few questions to better understand how the rules work for AZ... What a great experience, both of the guys took all the time I needed to get my questions answered. What a pleasure.... and a couple weeks later when I came back to buy they remembered the conversation and I walked out with a great new rifle and optics... I will start here next time too. read more

My relationship with Olsen started when I had to sell my beloved shotgun. They gave me a fair deal, and the process was seamless. Fast forward to my wedding gift day, and Aaron walked my new hub and I through what guns we needed and showed us all the basics. We are not super gun savvy but Aaron made us feel welcome and answered our million questions. He set us up with what we needed as new gun owners and didn't pressure or over-sell us. These guys are family feel for sure. When they didn't have the right holster for my mom and my own trip, they found one for us magically. When tragedy struck our family and the Lord took my mother, Aaron helped us clear her gun (it s a tricky one we didn't get) with heartfelt sympathy and compassion. Go to these guys, they know their stuff and are quality humans, which is everything these days! read more

Tip top people here. Seems like I always get there when the shop is empty which makes it really easy getting in and out. Massive selection of only the good stuff. Not enough room for garbage in this little space. Probably 50% of the whole shop is ammo so you know where to go. read more

Olsen is awesome. They have a ton for being a small shop. The guys are all so professional and knowledgeable yet laid back and not "gun-doosh" like so many shops can be. Support the local guys and get over there. read more

I stop in with my 11 year old son every so often. Aaron and Carl always remember his name and shows him anything new that has come in. They will order whatever they don't have and point you in another direction if they think it's right for you. My go to shop no doubt. read more

In these trying times, I decided to ( after procrastinating ) get some real home and family defense. It was my first time owning a gun, the staff was beyond helpful, they work as a team and are like friends you haven't seen in a while. I purchased a Shotgun with ammo and I'm ready to defend if you know what hits the fan. I plan to return for another firearm, once ammo becomes available. It's like buying a gun from your neighbor, they listen really well and show you the best options based on that. Very easy and pleasant experience. read more

I was in the market for my first firearm purchase. Aaron was extremely helpful and patient with a complete newbie. He took his time to make sure I understood the pros and cons of each shotgun I was considering, and made sure I was set up with everything I needed. Kyle, the owner made sure I was happy with my purchase. They have me as a customer even though they are not the closest gun shop to me, but they treated me well, unlike other stores who didn't have the time to answer my questions. You can't go wrong purchasing here. read more

A great little gun store with lots of inventory, especially hard to find items. If they do not have an item they will find it for you. The owner Kyle puts customer service ahead of everything to insure you have a positive shopping experience. Aaron knows his firearms and will happily show you anything in the shop. No attitudes here and no high pressure sales. You will be glad you stopped in. Dave B read more

I thoroughly enjoy this store. It is small but they never shy away from finding what you want and ordering it for you. I know many establishments push their staff towards the SWAT (Sell What's Available Today) model, but these guys have it figured out. If they do not have it, they will find it... If they do not not know about it, they will learn about it, find it, and then call you. Gun stores are not known for their customer service but I think Olsen is changing that in their industry. Aaron and everyone else I have ever encountered there has been beyond helpful. My next purchase will be made here. read more
