Had an amazing morning doing the guided tour. Easy to locate overall but did have to travel a little bit down the dirt road to park. Every single staff member seemed like they genuinely loved their job. The tour guide on the UTV tour shared facts about the desert. Really great experience, I'll be back.

Alex was great! He was a fun tour guide and very helpful for my friend's bachelorette party. We rode an UTV and ATV. They were both fun to ride. The trails were a lot of fun and cool sights to see. He showed us different plants and cool views.

Awesome experience we had today. JT and Lorenzo made sure we were well prepared and had a good time. I can't wait to come back for another ride.

This was a blast! My boyfriend and I had a super fun time here. Would definitely recommend doing ATVs over the UTVs. ATVs are just way more immersive and thrilling. Devin was our guide and made us feel really comfortable and safe. Overall we had a great time and the views were beautiful!

Option 1: Friendly & Enthusiastic Jake made our UTV tour through the Sonoran Desert unforgettable. He guided us through rugged trails surrounded by towering cacti, curious donkeys, and all kinds of desert wildlife. His knowledge of the area, combined with a fun and easygoing personality, made the whole experience feel both adventurous and comfortable. If you're looking for a guide who knows the desert inside and out and makes the journey a blast, Jake is the to book

Matt was the freaking best. Would recommend him as your guide 100%. Friendly, informative, funny, and really great hangs. He also knows a ton about the wildlife in the area so was fun to ask him questions!

As a first time experience we chose the UTV guided tour. I highly recommend this option. We had no idea of the terrain or trails available. The terrain is well worn, yet rugged. There are rocky and sandy areas. Being in the UTV gave us confidence in navigating the uneven areas. The guided tour allowed us to explore areas not available in the self-guided option. We also knew we would make it back in time without getting lost. There are no maps or markers guiding you. However, if you do get in a bind they give you a bracelet with their phone number for assistance. For wildlife, we see a jackrabbit, hawk, and cattle. Even though I booked, paid, and completed all forms online, they offered excellent customer service. We were welcomed by Brian and guided by Caden. Both were professional and courteous. They offered an amazing experience and provided everything needed for a safe and fun adventure!

We had a great time on our guided UTV tour this past Labor Day weekend. There are several different guides; ours was Sam. The tour itself was on very rough and bumpy terrain. The UTVs seem way safer than ATVs, so i felt mostly safe. The route is awesome with plenty of opportunities to take pictures and record your experience. It is AWFULLY hot in AZ so if you cannot stand prolonged exposure to extreme heat, then I would reconsider and book this tour in the fall/winter. PRO TIP: BRING A TOWEL TO SIT ON. THE UTV seat was VERY hot and challenging to sit on with no barrier. They do offer free water battles throughout the course which is nice.

Great time for me and my family! Matt was a great guide! He made sure everyone was doing well along the trail and was having a good time. We definitely recommend this tour.

Had a 10/10 experience with our guy, Austin! Customer service was amazing from beginning to end - we were well taken care of. Check in process was seamless as we ordered, paid and signed a waiver ahead of time. My party of 6 went on a guided UTV tour and we booked two UTV's for it. Total was about $130 each. Our stay there took around 3 hours, so make sure to plan accordingly. Austin lead us through the beautiful desert of AZ. We passed a river, saw some wild cows and rode through a beaaaautiful canyon. Took 3 pit stops to take some pics, switch drivers and Austin offered us water. The ride IS BUMPY as you can imagine, but well worth it. If you're inexperienced I highly suggest you do the guided tour.

Highly recommend the ride and shoot tour!!! Brennen was great and super informative!! Would definitely come back again!

The trails were easily marked, and plenty of them had a good incline, which made it pretty fun on the UTV.

WARNING: YELP MAY GIVE YOU THE WRONG ADDRESS. I would recommend calling this place for more…read morespecific directions, as the area is under construction, and when I used Yelp's "directions" feature it sent me somewhere 15 minutes away. We absolutely loved this place! My girlfriend and I were visiting Sedona with my father and his wife who are considering moving here, and they asked what I wanted to do. Seeing as I am from a small town in Northern (like, WAY northern) California, it is relatively difficult to rent or buy a gun, or even to find a shooting range. I told him I thought we should go shooting, so I looked this place up, and saw that it had noteworthy reviews. They provide a package that costs about $80 and includes everything a beginner needs: gun rentals, ear/eye protection rentals, ammunition, a characteristic; fun; patient; and knowledgeable older instructor who is convinced he can convince anyone that they can and will shoot today (hey, it worked on my step-mom), etc. On top of that, to the surprise of a Californian, you can actually rent and shoot fully-automatic rifles the same day you walk in their door. I got to hold an M4 and an AK. The rental process was very smooth, the gentlemen working there were courteous and knew their stuff, and our overall experience was very positive. My dad (who was not a huge supporter of guns beforehand) was raving about it on our way home. He said he'll likely go back there for a few more lessons. I would highly recommend this place for beginner, intermediate, and advanced shooters alike.

I took their CCW class in October 2021 and have been a regular since then. Staff is knowledgeable and efficient. There is a rifle range and pistol range, as well as archery. The pistol range has six separate lanes and area for loading and personal storage. Clean and temp controlled, although not everyone cleans their brass after a session, so be sure to ensure your lane is clean before firing. I've purchased firearms through them and staff is competent and thorough. They offer hourly lane and firearm rentals as well as 6-month and annual memberships, which I highly recommend. The facility is perched up on a hill over looking the Verde Valley, located by the Yavapai Sheriff station/jail and Out of Africa. I do wish they had a larger selection of pistols for "try-out", and for sale. However, they can order anything for the customer. Highly recommend if you're visiting and want something fun to try..or if you're a local and want to brush-up, or maintain your skills!

This is where my instructor journey began…read more I initially signed up for an RSO class, but PJ encouraged me to pursue instructor level-certification, so I added CRSO. That was the beginning of some crazy "stuff." I have to add that I didn't consider it a sly sales tactic, since he said "pay when you can," and debt collection can be a PIA! I've since acquired my NRA BOPS rating with CTS' as well, so PJ is one of my NRA Training Counselors (I had to get USCCA & BORS elsewhere due to scheduling). I feel comfortable reaching out to him first if I have questions. The CRSO class was a fun bunch -We all looked like we didn't belong in the same room together, and I still wonder what those folks are up to today. This was the first of two times that "moving forward," despite my initial reservations walking into thar classroom (in 2A community) didn't bite me in the butt. This class is kinda' what I think "2A community," should look and feel like. The politics of participants can present themselves in others, but in my experience, it didn't get too out of hand: There are probably some things I wouldn't allow students to say because if you've ever been mocked or excluded, don't want any of your students feeling that way. It's also not obvious who is identifying as, or navigating what, and I just need to acknowledge their experience and teach correct firearms instruction. I, even, shared something in class that probably should have been given better context, knowing what I know, and would definitely benefit from better framing as an instructor (if you ask me, I'll tell you what I shared and how/why I would say it differently/better next time). But I also should have given it better context as a student, as well, or said nothing at all. To be fair, I didn't mention this on my class feedback form. It can be a difficult thing to understand and articulate in the moment. Cathy & PJ of CTS' remind me of a time, maybe late 80's or 90's, when things were screwed, but we could still disagree and take care of each other. I'm middle-aged but old enough to remember that. This is all important to mention because it speaks to matters of safety and inclusion that matter to people and become obstacles to training. It helps folks "trust" and "feel safe." All in all, they are good folk, humble folks, and knowledgeable firearms instructors with a weird and diverse roster. I really enjoy/ed training with them and their cast of new and return characters. **Photo is me after a volunteer RSO shift at the range.
