I signed my daughter up for the most expensive training program. After completing it, and some…read moreadditional hourly drives, she was still not comfortable driving. Since I was a loyal customer, and my daughter still needed a lot of work behind the wheel, I asked if we could have a small discount on our next hourly session. To my surprise, they said no. I took my business elsewhere and within 3 hours my daughter finally understood how the traffic lights in Arizona typically flow and how to turn left on a flashing yellow. NControl isn't bad. But if you're wanting the best, this isn't it.

NControl Driving School was excellent for my teenage driver…read more I was referred to NControl by friends and co-workers who used them for their teenagers and had nothing but great things to say. I loved Nikki in the office. She was my first impression to NControl and she is AWESOME! She was very informative and could relate to a new teenage driver being on the road. Nikki got my teenager enrolled and we were off and driving pretty quick. We were able to schedule our lessons ahead of time so long as my driver was doing his "homework" between lessons. The driving sessions are 2 hours long, which is (was) long for a teenager, but we built up to those with several 60-90 minute sessions at home. The skid pad day was fun as it actually rained for a little bit giving the drivers some wet conditions. All of the instructors were very patient and professional, but I have to say Chuck was the favorite as my son had him twice for lessons. If you are in the east valley and need a great driving school, NControl is a no brainer!

Instructor Travis was amazing and had lots of useful tips and tricks! Would choose him againread more

I recently completed my CDL training at Southwest Truck Driver Training, and I can honestly say it…read morewas one of the best educational experiences I've ever had. Before coming here, I had never driven a manual transmission vehicle and knew nothing about semi-trucks. The staff took me from being a complete beginner to feeling confident behind the wheel. First, I want to recognize my instructor, Lori. At first, I thought she was going to be difficult, but I judged her too quickly. Shame on me for that. Lori turned out to be patient, knowledgeable, and supportive. I ask a lot of questions, overthink things, and can be complicated to deal with, but she never made me feel stupid. When I wanted to give up, she helped me refocus and keep going. She is a true asset to this school, and I'll genuinely miss her. Dean was my examiner, and I appreciated how he didn't rush me during my pre-trip inspection when my mind went blank. He gave me time to gather my thoughts, and that patience meant a lot. His students were also very knowledgeable and helpful, which says a lot about him. Jorge filled in on our first day on the range and made everyone feel comfortable. We were all nervous, but his teaching style made us want to learn. And if you hear him yell "push mustard, push ketchup," don't worry, he's teaching driving, not opening a hot dog stand. Ken was a wealth of knowledge. He shared real trucking experience you can't learn from a textbook. He knew when to throw in a joke and get everyone laughing when the class felt overwhelmed. Ken is definitely the Diesel Wizard. Sean, the owner, made us feel like family, not customers. It was also great seeing his daughter, "H2O," learning the business and helping carry Southwest into the future. Dawn was always helpful with job information and employment opportunities. She genuinely cares about the students and always had answers. The front office ladies were wonderful. They were always kind, helpful, and smiling. Even when I had migraines, they helped me out with ibuprofen. They probably deserve hazard pay for dealing with all of us trucking students. Brad, my recruiter, was the reason I chose Southwest. He explained the program clearly, answered my questions, and never pressured me. Tom is someone I truly respect. As a parent of a child with special needs, I had personal challenges during the program. Tom listened, understood, accommodated me when needed, and checked in on me. Every school needs a Tom. Tabitha deserves recognition too, even if she doesn't like her government name being used. Her energy was contagious, she was funny, and her passion for trucking showed. Even though she's a 49ers fan and I'm a Cowboys fan, we survived the day without a civil war. Watch out for her TikTok dance moves on the range. Travis was calm, observant, approachable, and always willing to help, even with students who weren't in his group. The facility itself is clean, organized, and well equipped. They have multiple trucks, trailers, practice vehicles, cold filtered water, fans, vending machines, and plenty of staff available to help. Southwest Truck Driver Training is a full operation run by people who genuinely care. I came in knowing nothing and left with knowledge, confidence, friendships, and a CDL. I highly recommend this school.
