Good food, but they manage to mess up the order EVERY SINGLE TIME! I have been getting food from here since they opened last summer. Sometimes twice a week. But they would either forget an item, a side, forget to text when the food is ready, or text to say it's there and I had to wait cause it wasn't ready, put onions/green peppers in the food when I specifically ordered without, charge me for fries, but forget to put it in the bag... I still kept on getting food cause it's convenient and I like Mediterranean food. But today was the last straw.. forgot to text me again! I was waiting in the car and finally decided to walk in, and it had been sitting there for God knows how long. Came home and found out they put onions and green peppers in the wrap and gyro.. again! Even if I take out the onions, the smell was so bad, it's inedible. Fries tasted like they were made in the morning and had been sitting there for hours. I did talk to the owner about my experience a while ago. He was nice and said that they would improve, but I see that nothing changed. I will not be eating here anymore. read more

We finally tried Spitz for the first time last night and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. If you get the app they give you 20% off for your first order online. We thought we would bring it home, but after going inside we decided to eat there. The place looks welcoming, clean and the staff were very nice. We ordered the Gyro Combo, Doner Basket and kids combo. EVERYTHING was flavorful and portions were huge. We will definitely make this our go to Mediterranean spot. read more

The food was good and fresh. However, we found the hummus, sauces, falafel and chicken rather underseasoned in comparison to other Mediterranean places we've eaten, and the portions were skimpy. Super filling but I literally could not stop enjoying it They even have a little bar with draft beers and offer freshly made Sangria with their house made herbal simple syrups. We were excited to give this a try after months of anticipating its grand opening and seeing all the good reviews but it was disappointing. We ordered 2 doner wraps with Beef and lamb gyro meat, a remix bowl with chicken, and a Berliner with beef and lamb. The wraps were slightly better than the bowls but all the meat tasted dry and also as if they've all been sitting out for awhile. It just lacked flavor. We had to douse our bowls with sauce to make it taste better. Whoever said this place is better than cava is out of their mind. Cava gives you up to 3 choices of sauces and hummus with a much bigger variety of customizable toppings and proteins. Proteins that also don't taste dry. The fries were bomb though! Likely won't be back since there's much better options that are similar like hummus way. read more

We've been patiently waiting for Spitz to open for over 18 months and finally they're open! We used to frequent the Spitz in Eagle Rock and DTLA for over 15 years. So we were beyond excited that they're opening close to our new home town! The food is fresh and delicious and the casual atmosphere is a great place for families too. We were so excited for the opening! My husband I use to frequent the Eagle Rock location 10+ years ago. We tried it for the first time today since opening near us. Well, staff is very friendly. I ordered right as I walked in. No line. I was told about 10-15 min. Yes there was a flow of people ordering but it didn't look anything crazy that I had to wait this long. We ordered 2 doner wraps. It was just ok. Messy and kinda unwrapped. I just didn't love it. Maybe I was bitter after waiting so long to get my food. The fries were tasty. The ambiance inside is very cute. Overall for 14 bucks a wrap and close to 33 minutes of my time, not worth it. read more

First time here and I wish I had the menu in front of me so I can tell you what I actually ordered! But it was a bowl that had quinoa or rice I chose for quinoa it had corn cabbage garbanzo beans choice of proteins and just hard to explain it was just really tasty a lot of different food factors going on! What's kind of unique is the wife explained to me that it was more of a street food than just a normal regular Greek food! The gyro meat lamb / beef was very flavorful in fact more flavorful than some of the places that I've gone to in the area that were just Greek Mediterranean food but that lamb gyro at their facility was just off the charts good! Very seasoned very well and just lamb tasting it was just amazing how much lamb I was tasting in every bite not just a bland beef and lamb but a very flavorful and very yummy. They had a ton of very unique sauces very flavorful some with some peppers and I can't remember the names of all the different sauces but they had not just tzatziki sauce but it was definitely different as far as the sauces to add to the bowl. The bowls don't look very big as far as size I should have taken a picture of it but it was very plentiful and very filling! Sought this place out today as heard good things about it. To be honest I was disappointed! I ordered a mixed bowl of salad with a mix of meat. Ordered pita chips on side with lemon tahini dressing, I got the pita chips on top of what appeared to be just lettuce with a small amount of feta cheese, with the wrong dressing (balsamic) Underneath the lettuce was a small amount of meat (which was almost hidden) I asked for the correct dressing, and did not even get an apology. Had to push the pita chips to the side. I feel that at the opening of a restaurant, most staff try and give a good impression and serve great food! This did not happen and I will carry on going to the Fresh off the Boat restaurant across the street! Much better value and great presentation! read more
