Casey E, the sales manager, made it a key selling point that the vehicle (a preowned Tesla) included Full Self-Driving, repeatedly emphasizing that it added $12,000 in value to the car. Based on that, I agreed to the deal and put down a down payment. After everything was signed, I found out the car does NOT include FSD - a major misrepresentation. Once this was confirmed, there was no effort to adjust the price to reflect the missing $12,000 feature. The value of the car clearly changed, but the price did not. When I raised the issue, they admitted the mistake (but still blamed the owner that sold them that car???) and offered no real solution other than canceling. No accountability and no attempt to make things right. All they offered was a free car detail to the loss of the $12,000 car value??!!!! Trying to get my money back has been just as frustrating. I spent the entire day trying to reach to the GM Xavier. When I finally did, he said he would check on my refund for the down payment and then left for the day without any update or follow-up!!!! So unprofessional as a GM. This was not just poor communication - it was a complete lack of transparency and accountability from start to finish. I would strongly suggest staying away from these scammers. They have no problem lying to make a deal but make you go through all these hoops to get your money back

Beware - this dealership withheld our $1,000 deposit after promising a refund!!!…read more We were told our $1,000 deposit to do a test drive and a pre-purchase inspection would be fully refunded if we decided not to buy the car. The inspection turned up more maintenance needs than we expected, plus an undisclosed tire sensor issue and no maintenance history at all on the vehicle, so we decided to pass. Now the owner won't give us our deposit back. When he called to talk about it, he tried to discredit the report saying everything the inspection found was "just maintenance" and that it exceeded manufacturer recommendations, but I put more stock in an independent inspection than the guy who's trying to close the deal. When I said I still wasn't comfortable to go forward he switched up and said that deposits are non-refundable unless the inspection finds something major. That is not what we were told when we were asked to pay it. He's now trying to say he's going to comb through the security footage to prove we were told something we weren't to get me to let him keep our $1,000 that we were told we'd get back. I've read other reviews on here with a similar complaint, people told their deposit was refundable and then given a new excuse when it came time to actually get it back so apparently this is something they do. It's a shame I have to write this review because our salesman Stan was great, patient and accommodating, even stayed a few minutes after closing so we didn't have to wait outside in the rain for our Uber. But after this, I wouldn't trust this dealership with a deposit or a car purchase for that matter. This feels criminal, we'll definitely be disputing this through our credit card company and reporting it to the Better Business Bureau.

The 2026 Subaru Outback that I am in, is stellar, a significant enhancement over prior year Outback's (each, have lasted forever, with only preventative maintenance (at North Reading Subaru), and very few repairs). Jonathan Walker is a superstar sales and leasing professional, who is as knowledgeable about Subaru's as he is dedicated to business integrity and customer service. The Service Department is the best service department that I have encountered in several auto brands, over 50+ years. They perform meticulous work, are efficient, and high integrity. One thing to note, they are busy; In my opinion, they are busy, because they are so much better than other Subaru dealers in the area. We've never purchased a pre-owned car, but, I recently walked the North Reading Subaru parking lot, and I must say, I could not tell the pre-owned cars from the new cars. If we were in the market for a pre-owned Subaru, North Reading Subaru would be our first and only stop. It is a privilege to be a customer of North Reading Subaru, to KNOW that you and your car will be well cared for, and to NOT have to worry about funny, or underhanded business, often associated with car dealers.
