From the beginning of the purchase process of my vehicle from North Shore I was treated with disrespect. Jason was incredibly kind, but not able to help without assistance from a manager. Boris was rude time and time again. I ended up purchasing because there was a vehicle I was interested in, so much so I was able to overlook the incompetent and rude salesmen. My mistake! After purchase and delivery (a day later than promised) I have had to bring the car into the manufacturer 3 times. The car left the North Shore Auto Mall after "being inspected by their mechanics" and was deemed by them as safe on the road. I brought the car to the manufacturer and it did not pass a safety inspection. NORTH SHORE AUTO MALL LACKS KNOWLEDGE AND IS NEGLIGENT! Never would I have expected the car to be unsafe to drive after being assured from the manager, Kevin, the dealership's mechanics had looked over it. To think I have been driving an unsafe vehicle for months is beyond concerning. I scheduled an appointment to have the vehicle inspected by the manufacturer, but due to their schedule was not able to get the car in until today. North Shore's mechanics suggested there might have been some issues with the front suspension after they had inspected the vehicle. They did not feel it necessary to address these issues before release of the vehicle, and suggested I follow up with the manufacturer after I picked up the vehicle. Perhaps if they had brought the car to the manufacturer to see that there was no issues before they sold the vehicle this all would have been avoided. Turns out the issues are in the rear end. Seems like a major detail to have confused. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone, as safety is not something that is a concern to them. I should have listened to the previous reviews, but decided not to. Please do not make the same mistake I did when it comes to such a major decision, purchasing a vehicle from North Shore Auto Mall

I left a review here, and Brianna replied and gave me this number that doesn't work: (866) 214-1448. What a joke. The dealer told him that Toyota doesn't replace the part unless it's damaged. The glass part is in bad condition; those incompetent people don't want to do their job. Don't you realize they have way more bad reviews than good ones? This place needs to be investigated, and those employees should be fired.

However, after being notified that my car was ready for pickup, I was shocked to find it had been sideswiped while in their care. My vehicle had no dents or marks when I brought it in. I immediately spoke with the manager, who reassured me that the damage would be fixed and that my car would look as good as new. However, I was later told they needed to order parts for the damage they caused. This was frustrating, as it showed a lack of accountability and care for my vehicle. Two days later, when I returned to pick up my car, I noticed that the color of the repair area was completely mismatched. The paint didn't even remotely match the original color. When I pointed this out to the agent handing me the keys, his response was dismissive, telling me that "it's dirty" and that all I needed to do was wash it. I explained that the color difference was clearly noticeable, but he insisted that I wash it and return if I still felt it was an issue. I followed his suggestion and returned to the dealership, where the agent then suggested I take my car to another shop to have the door "buffed" to try and make the color look closer. This was completely unacceptable, so I refused. He then told me to come back the following morning to speak with the manager. The next day, I spoke to the manager, Peter Carey. He acknowledged the color mismatch but suggested painting only one side of the car to "resolve" the issue. I made it clear that this was not a satisfactory solution. Peter took my contact information but never followed up with me as promised. Since then, I have reached out to corporate, but I have yet to hear back from them. This level of unprofessionalism and disregard for customer satisfaction is completely unacceptable. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this dealership.*******Update on my Status on Peter's response. You responded to this message fast, but did not have the decency to call me when you took my number down and never called me. I must express my disappointment with the service I received regarding my vehicle's repair. It feels as though my concerns have not been taken seriously, and the issues with my car remain unresolved. Since then I filed an insurance claim due to a very poor repair from their bodyshop.

Recently bought a new car here and had a good experience; might be an outlier because I came in…read moreknowing exactly which model & trim I wanted, did not do financing or trade-in, and negotiated an OTD (Out The Door) price via email with Brianna, the internet sales rep, before I ever stepped foot on the premises. This is how I have always bought all my cars over the course of several decades, a straightforward process that cuts out all the usual opportunities for sales shenanigans and minimizes the usual PITA of buying a new car...far better than walking in unprepared and letting yourself get screwed every which way (e.g. bait and switch, bogus hidden charges, made-up "accessory packages," etc.), which is exactly what the haggle-based dealership sales model is designed to foster. I chose Kelly Honda because they offered me the best OTD price among the 8 or 10 dealerships within a 100 mile radius of Boston that I contacted on a hard-to-find hybrid model, which most dealers are still selling at or *above* MSRP in this horrible post-pandemic marketplace of low supply and high demand resulting in inflated street prices. (Last time I bought a new car, in 2012, I paid $4K *under* MSRP using the aforementioned purchasing technique.) Amy was an excellent sales rep who finalized the deal, and I'd also recommend her highly. The only reason I deducted one star is because the car in question was NOT available for immediate pickup as had been implied (mainly due to them closing early on Saturdays and being completely closed on Sundays which is very bizarre to me), but that is a small quibble in the bigger picture, really. I mean, you could really do much, much worse. Some of the other dealers' reps I interacted with during my car hunt were slimy a-holes as well as refusing to budge on their pricing, whom I'd trust about as far as I can throw them. Bottom line is that I felt good about my purchase and general experience with Kelly Honda. Now, they give you free oil changes for the first two years which I will happily make use of, but beyond that, I plan to take the car to an independent garage (honest mechanics are not easy to find but they do exist---WAR Auto Tech in Malden is my current favorite) for all SERVICE needs. For all the folks who left 1-2 star reviews due to terrible car SERVICE experiences here, what did you expect? Dealerships are called *stealer-ships* when it comes to car service for a reason, padding the bill and inventing "make-work" is their bread and butter! TAKEAWAYS: 1. Figure out exactly what model/trim you want, don't ask a dealer to help you because of course they'll upsell you as much as they can and/or steer you towards whatever models that give THEM the fattest margins. 2. Negotiate an OTD price before you step foot on the premises. 3. Test drive the car before you finalize. 4. Skip trade-ins and financing. 5. Get all post-sale service done at an independent shop.

Less than 6 months ago, we purchased a used vehicle from this dealership for approximately $56,000. Since then, we have put fewer than 600 miles on it. The car is in pristine condition, yet we've already experienced multiple issues that made us deeply regret the purchase. Hoping the dealership would stand behind their customer and at least try to help make the situation right, I called to ask about having the car appraised to potentially sell back. I was specifically told I needed to come in person so they could properly evaluate it. So I packed up my five-month-old twins and drove over an hour to the dealership. Any parent of infants knows how difficult that alone can be -- planning feedings, naps, diapers, loading and unloading babies -- all while trying to trust that a business you just gave tens of thousands of dollars to would treat you with basic honesty and respect. Instead, they took my key, walked outside for literally two minutes, came back, and offered $41,000. A $15,000 loss in just a few months on a pristine vehicle with almost no miles added. No real evaluation. No compassion. No attempt to understand why we were unhappy. Just a number thrown at us with the excuse that "it's the market." It was insulting. It felt manipulative. And honestly, it felt cruel. What hurt the most wasn't even the number -- it was the complete lack of humanity behind it. Not once did anyone acknowledge the inconvenience of bringing two babies there. Not once did anyone try to make us feel valued as customers. Not once did anyone seem to care that we were unhappy with a vehicle we had JUST purchased from them. This dealership may know how to sell cars, but they clearly do not value honesty, customer service, integrity, or long-term relationships with the people who trust them. Once the paperwork is signed, you become just another transaction. Businesses reveal their character when customers have problems -- not when they're making a sale. Unfortunately, this experience showed me a dealership with no moral compass, no accountability, and no genuine care for the people walking through their doors. I would strongly encourage others to think carefully before trusting this dealership with your time, money, or family.

What makes it worse is the clear pattern of targeting those who are less likely to question them, particularly women. I was treated like I wouldn't understand or challenge the maintenance quotes -- and that's exactly what they counted on. They've not only DOUBLED their maintenance costs in only the last 2 years but tripled the costs in some cases for their parts as well and I'm disgusted they're not only adjusting for inflation but going for a money grab at whatever means possible. Additionally, the wait times are so ridiculous, they kept my car for maintenance for days without telling me and just given a "sorry we haven't finished" excuse. And beyond the dealership's behavior, I've had more recalls on my Honda Insight than should even be legal. For a car that's supposed to be reliable and efficient, the number of factory defects is alarming. I've had my car shut down on me and had the turn signals completely stop working while driving. Between the recalls and the dealership's manipulative service practices, I've completely lost trust in both the brand and this location. This place does not care about integrity or customers -- only profit. I will never return and strongly warn others especially those who are less mechanically experienced. I will be doing my maintenance business anywhere else from now and regret getting my car here. Please avoid this place that feels like hell and go anywhere else. Save yourself years of bad experience and money wasted!!

The only thing that was aggressive was their sale tactics. They will say anything to lure you into their web. After hours I decided to go with one of their cars. They ended up giving me about $200 off and saying that that is all they can do for me. I have a newborn at home and don't have the luxury of driving around looking for another car so I went with it. However, Do yourself a favor. Even if you'll end up loving your Honda you'll always remember the moment you got manipulated by some car saleswoman every time you look at your car.
