I went here in search of crab legs. From the other reviews I figured it was worth a shot. So it's a bar that serves food. I was pleasantly surprised upon entering to see a DJ tucked away in the corner playing pretty good music. Very little seating on the inside however there are tables outdoors & chairs around the bar. Appears to be garage style doors that can open to connect the indoors & outdoors. After sitting there being bypassed a few times by the waitress i saw a sign that stated "order at the bar". They have a large selection of alcoholic & beer drink options to choose from. The menu is catered more to light eats with a sprinkling of seafood platters. Ordered the snow crab legs & when they arrived they looked & smelled delicious with potatoes, corn, sausage & an egg with Cajun seasoning & butter. The crab clusters were warm at the cluster but the legs were ice cold. The clusters were meaty...the legs not so much. Another gentleman at the table next to mine ordered the shrimp the same way as my crab legs & he said they were so good. I love this place they have good food and just to let you all know I'm very picky about my Seafood. I would like the public to know that I'm giving this place 5 stars not only due to the good food but the excellent customer service. With that being said I purchased a large shrimp boil. Keep in mind I eat at this place all the time and its easy to identify when something not right . When I got home with my food I was very disappointed with it the butter sauce had no texture, it didn't have the Cajun taste like it usually did. It look like they just poured butter on it no season and not to mention I didn't get the amount of shrimp I had always received. So I called and ask to speak with the manager Devin she was amazing and accommodating apologized for the service and ask that I give them another chance. She offered to comp another meal for me. So yesterday I called to reorder the dinner and had the pleasure to speak with her again I was impressed that she remembered the conversation and stated that she would make sure they got it right and she did. The Shrimp boil was amazing. I want to make sure that I let her know that she is an amazing manager and kudos to her thank you Devin!! Our friend took us this place last night. We are a group of ten seafood lovers, almost walked out. Place didn't make good impression as far as fofood. We all thought food would be bad. Spinners was an AMAZING experience. To start, our server, Dela, was awesome. We had our service dog with us, and when she came out with waters, she brought our pupper a giant bowl of water. That was a first, and so so so appreciated. The food was sooooo good. I recommend the 30oz turkey thigh topped with Cajun Mac and Cheese. This thing is dunked in a rich creamy marinade, best I've had yet. Meat was flakey, tender, couldn't have been cooked any better! Great atmosphere for a casual but fun time. Wanna watch the game - cool there are plenty of big screens and a nice outdoor area with TVs also. Wanna try your luck at the games?? They have a whole second section with plenty to keep you occupied and even a stage for live bands. I think my favorite discovery was the breathalyzer on the wall but hey better safe than sorry!!! Well, here's the third bar try at this spot the past year or so. This time different owners and definitely a different setup. Spinners seems Country w/o being super hick. It's mostly staffed with attractive girls in tight outfits that seem to know how to wait as well as pour (for their first week). And this time the outside patio is covered and with garage doors to open the place up during cooler days. The venue is half the size of old Merkaba/Krush - since Rockstar Cabaret just claimed that old space when they also recently opened up. Which causes a big problem - parking. Both venues share a valet who was a bit overzealous with his reserved pylons at 7p. Either way, get to Spinners early as Rockstar was taking up most of the lot by 10p Friday. Or consider staging at Spinners before crawling over to Rockstar! read more

I seen that krab kingz was in spinners so I decided to check it out I walked in and seen that they remodeled the place and it looks way better then before ;) and the have a great menu so I decided to try the Shrimp Po Boy and I was not disappointed it's a huge portion with lots of fries u could totally share this meal. Been going here for a couple years now and I will continue to go back... The staff is always prompt and hardworking... the chef (Jose) is UNBELIEVABLY talented... his dishes are so delicious every single time I eat there. Next time they have a best burger contest in Austin I hope he submits his because I know he will win. Been to this place when we were in search of bars late night. Found this and we went to try it out. Let me tell you firstly the boss was really friendly and by knowing that it was our first visit to that place, he offered all of us a free vodka shot. Nice of him. If I could give this bar zero stars I would. This was my first time ever going here and I was excited. Around 11pm. I ordered 2 baked potatoes. They claimed they ran out of the potatoes they use so they asked me if they could use gold potatoes mine you I've been waiting for 20 minutes at this point. They took extra time all together wasted 45 minutes of my young life and I am starving hungry. At this point I'm irritated. So I get the food they put a boiled potato not even sliced open in a pan and the other pan had regular Yukon gold potatoes sliced. Does it look like I would pay $30 for boiled potatoes. First, I'll start off by saying that I've only been here for happy hour and ordered beer so my review is solely based on that. Maybe this rating would be different had I ordered food but honestly I probably wouldn't eat here since the food didn't look awesome. BUT that being said - during happy hour you can get LARGE beers on tap for $5 which is amazing for the amount you get. I also really like the really chill vibe and the game outside where you have to get the small metal hoop on the hook. Now after the Texas Blizzard I didn't expect the most but at least decent. Especially when the tab with tip was $150. I got home and shrimp tasted as if they were still half raw, crab was so cold inside the meat wouldn't pull from the shell at all. Corn was shriveled to almost unrecognizable. It's alright with your friends, hanging out...but with your hubby wanting a nice date? No. The music was eclectic and very loud, which is nice if you're at a dance club but this is not a dance club, I myself thought it was advertised as a sit and chat bar. I would definitely say don't go here for the seafood boil. The food was pretty limited and it's the small frozen shrimp, but you're paying for quality seafood. I am the DJ at Spinners on Saturday and Sunday nights (DJ 5-Oh), and have been for almost a year. There's been a lot of changes to almost everything there were issues with recently. One of the major issues was the perception that there was a "ghetto" crowd on Friday and Saturday nights. One way that's been cleared up was with the addition of a police officer working security during peak times. (FRI/SAT nights). Second, the majority of problem starters were from the club next door, called Amnesia. Well they closed down 2 weeks ago, so that crowd isn't around anymore. First of all let me say that looking at the high reviews posted here seem to be from Spinners' staff- seeing as how they sound like a pitch and have only review Spinners. I got a restaurant.com certificate this evening for Spinners and went to use it a few hrs ago. I gave them the cert, ordered the food, and when the bill came the waitress said, you know what we don't accept these anymore. The manager then comes by and says, sorry, we told restaurant.com to take it off, so we don't accept them anymore. Needless to say they refused to accept the cert, and I was annoyed. Call the owner if you want, was the suggestion we were given. Now I'm not one to generally complain, but there is no chance I would have even thought about going to that place if I hadn't seen the ad and gotten the coupon on the website. If the restaurant was no longer accepting the coupons, they should have put up a notice, or at least told us when taking the coupon. The 'manager' who did not want to irk the owner by accepting the coupon, raises several concerns. First, that her owner would tell her not to accept gift certificates indicates a financial crunch where they cannot even back up their advertising. Second, that a person claiming to be a manager did not have the authority to accept the certificate anyway, seeing as how it achieved its intended purpose. I'm not looking for a refund or any sort of compensation from Spinners. I just want to wish them the speedy failure that often befalls such badly managed and shoddy places. Judging by the crowd that was only there for the free poker night, and that nobody was actually buying anything, I think Spinners is well on its way to losing a lot of money. Only giving two stars instead of one because of the bartender. Poor dude seemed to know exactly what kind of garbage business he worked for from the second I walked in and he tried his best to provide me great service despite being totally screwed by the "cooks" in the kitchen. I came in here, starving after not eating all day because it was near my hotel. The reviews indicated that this could be a cool spot and my stomach said "let's go eat!" I sat down at the bar and ordered a beer and a half order of beef nachos with shrimp. I intended to order more food after that, but I'm very glad I didn't. First, these seemingly microwaved nachos took a certified 29 minutes to come out despite the fact that there was only me and 7 other people in the entire place. I asked for no beans. I got more beans than anything else (which the bartender apologized for while also apologizing for his incompetent kitchen). The shrimp tasted like it was dropped to the bottom of the freezer section in Wal-Mart for a year and then promptly microwaved and placed on these nachos. The sprinkle of shredded cheese didn't even completely coat the top layer of chips. All the chips below that top layer were totally void of any ingredients whatsoever and the ones on the bottom were soaking in a pool of room temperature liquid. Did I mention, along with several other reviewers, how creepy and empty this place is. I should've trusted my gut and walked out the second I opened the door, but my gut was also hungry so that wasn't an option. God bless the bartender and his ability to maintain the most positive attitude possible despite the countless ineptitudes occurring in this establishment. read more
