However, when you order any mixed drink, for example, today I had a Bloody Mary with Tito's vodka. $6.50 for the vodka and then $1.75 for zing zany and THEN another 'mix beverage tax' for $2.55... then because we used a card we were charged another $3.68 a whopping $8 because I wanted a Bloody Mary? I mean overall I just didn't like this over-priced food. You have to come with it if you're going to charge that much. Went to this place last night and I was very unsatisfied, I order the turkey leg with dirty rice, which barely had any rice at all. Also order Mac n cheese on the side, the macaroni didn't have any cheese and was old. The chicken I purchased for my kids was way over cooked hardly any meat. Not sure why it took so long to review this place....we've been here several times, actually we've been here twice in 24hrs ‍ it's that good!!!!! The crabs here are amazing!!!! Makes me never want red lobster or Joe's Crab Shack ever again. Spinners took the poor Krush Lounge and cut it in half and remodeled it. In the process they made it a much friendlier bar. The faux brick and stone interior is much more inviting, And any bar with a buck head on the wall seems more homey to me in some weird Texas way i suppose. I want to steal their Landshark surfboard off the wall as well. It would look much better on my wall i think. We enjoyed several decent Patron Margarita's and Tequila shots. Yeah they still have the youngish bartenderesses who are mostly friendly and the location next to the mysterious Rockstar's establishment means you have folks hangin here to get in over there on weekends (for whatever they do over there). Visited here for college homecoming (Huston-Tillotson University HBCU )festivities place has cool set up, quite roomy for private events and for most part friendly staff however very limited initially. At One part waitress was struggling to keep up. My one and only compliant is that the bar food is absolutely the worse I have ever eaten in life. It wasn't just my food but the others at my table. Not complainers so we just simply ate what we could and just drank thereafter. If there is a round two at that place for next year I will likely eat before I go. Oh and be very careful the water gets extremely Hot in the ladies room they do have signage although I'm not sure if liability is waived just because of the signage may need to look into that. read more

But, I fell asleep and days later when I came back, it was gone. So, all new- take 1. Spinners is not for everyone. But, on Saturday nights, Spinners for me, is pretty damn good. Period. This being said.. I'm a KAOS, Empire, Element, Red Fez, Studio, South Beach, Bayou, RBar back room, kind of gal. So, yeah. If you frequented those establishments, than you know what kind of spot Spinners can be. Music is on POINT. The entire place is a bar and dance floor. Its NOT big, yet its big enough! Its got okay seating, but really could use some more!! Since my very first time coming to Spinners, within the past year, the one thing I've said they needed desperately, is a heating system for outside. God forbid they put a firepit in the patio, where the cove is! Holy Jesus. But, it won't happen! However, they absolutely need to invest in about 4-5 of those tall, stainless steel outdoor heaters. Your outside guests would thank you, dearly! Its NICE to be outside too. Its closed off to the inside of the bar, perfect for everyone! Stays warm in, but outside you can sill hear and see the music/bar. Get your games fixed. That hook and washer thingy is a super fun game, so put it back. Guys @ the door are always nice. They have some bad ass bouncers, and YOU WILL GET CHECKED, and subsequently escorted OUT if you even think about "tearin the club up" (song). It happens. Fact of life. Men, alcohol, women, alcohol. But, its over quick! Bartenders. OH. MY. GOD. With exception the the ONE blonde girl, the bartenders, while normally fairly nice, SUCK. Drinks are terrible and inconsistent, AND short. And the dude is just a dick, who really doesn't care about customer service. And that's why you don't get a tip! But, blonde girl totally gets a tip. Black hair guy, and black medium length hair girl do NOT serve up good drinks. Its not hard to fuck it up, so I see why so many ppl either drink shots, or beer here. Bathroom could use tending to more frequently, but its clean & large. Music selection is the A1, and I abhor that term. If you like to dance, you can certainly do that here too. There is always a live DJ on Saturday nights. Nothing massively fancy, from what I've seen, but its a good time! Bring your crazy ppl and you'll have a good ass time. read more

This place is a dirty hole that has an unsafe vibe. When I walked in, I immediately wanted to leave. The place is drenched in a smell that is both of old seafood and vomit. There was a DJ blaring really loud, obnoxious music, multiple people who seemed to have been drinking since noon, and children running around. It seemed more so like someone's garage than a business. I was in the mood for crab legs and found this spot on Yelp. I am more than impressed, definitely going to be coming back. We walked in and it was super dead and I got a little scared, but looks are deceiving. Waitress/bartender greeted us upon entering and sat ourselves at a table. She brought out the menus and got our drink orders. We started out with chips and queso and ordered the 1/2lb crab and shrimp subbed the corn for sausage. Got the chips and queso and much to our surprise it is wonton chips that is seasoned with ranch seasoning. Super yummy! Shortly after we got our main dish, which had a really good presentation. Crab legs sitting on shrimp, potatoes, sausage links, a boiled egg and butter, seasoned with lemon pepper. Super delicious! The waitress was super sweet and friendly. Definitely recommend stopping by and trying it out. One thing we do ask for the establishment is to get is a frozen margarita machine, other than that Spinners is reasonably priced and delicious! First time here and it was good and accommodating for our meetup of friends. The service was good, the beer was cold and not flat, the food was good, and the staff was always hospitable. We came here for a meetup after an event and it was a good place to relax on a Saturday night for a few hours with friends. There is an outside patio for sitting, a few bar games to pass the time, the music was good, and they have a large stage for bands. They were very flexible with "specials" for our large group (we contacted them prior) and we genuinely appreciated that. It will be a positive factor noted the next time we need to find a place to meet up once again. The waiter named Destiny had excellent timing (and beautifully vibrant hair), the drinks are delicious and they have so many varied cocktail options, and most importantly.... the food!!!! The chips were perfectly crispy for their delectable smoked queso. The turkey leg was, indeed, fall off the bone. The glaze on the tender meat was so so good. There was so many things wrong I dont know where to start. My friend and I get there yesterday and the waiter ask for a credit card when we sat down.. We are confused because we haven't ordered anything or done anything we just sat down. So we tell the waiter we don't want to make a tab were not sitting at the bar were sitting at a table we just want to eat and pay later like normal people she doesn't make a big deal out of it so it's fine. So then we order our food both of us get the same thing a $35 crab meal that supposed to include crab shrimp potatoes sausage and butter.. we get our meals and the crab are teenagers which I thought you were suppose to throw back? I tried to break one of the legs and couldnt because of course it was to young. I call the waiter over and I asked her if she could talk to a manager about taking the crab off just taking them back and letting me eat the shrimp and the rest of the plate. We go back and for back and forth and her manager decides to try to compensate by bringing out 2 small baby crab legs on a plate. I decide at that moment I don't want the crab or to pay $35 for crab, it would take an hour to get tiny pieces of meat. I never ate any of the crab and they eventually took it off the plate and my bill. Fast forward to time to pay the check. My friend's meal is about $37.89. She pays with a $100 bill, the waiter comes back gives her a $37 dollars in change. My friend immediately catches it and calls the waiter back and says I am missing $20 plus dollars. The waiter walks off and comes back with a $20 and gives it to her. My friend says NO wheres my money to which the waiter replies "I thought you said I only have to give back $20 of it" my friend says not you owe me my change which is $62.11. Little seating, music is super loud and sounds like it's from a old boom box. The regulars are clearly in charge here as they gather in large groups taking over all the seating and they take priority with orders. I have incredibly mixed feelings about Spinners. My wife and I went here for the first time recently for drinks and appetizers. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. My wife wasn't sure what she wanted, and the waitress had really cool suggestions and ended up bringing her something that she really liked (it had cake flavored vodka in it). We ordered the Spinners fries, which are essentially chili cheese fries, and they were amazing. After a couple drinks each and an appetizer, our tab was pretty reasonable (just under $20 pre-tip). It wasn't until after we left that things went sour. My wife watches our finances like a hawk, and when the charge from Spinners came through it was $126. I went in to the restaurant shortly after and asked if I could talk to a manager about the charge. I was pleased to see that the manager on duty was actually our waitress from that night. When I showed her the charge though, instead of saying something along the line of "Omg I'm so sorry I don't know that happened" her response was "No, that's what you tipped. I remember." Seriously?? Why would I give a $100 tip and then come in and complain about the charge? Obviously, even if that's what was on the check, if I'm in the restaurant complaining about the charge I wasn't the one who wrote it. After a little bit of arguing, she reluctantly handed me a $100 bill out of the register. There's no way to know for sure whether she slipped a 1 in front of our total or some other patron thought it would be funny. It's not like we stiffed her (~$6 on a ~$20 tab is pretty nice). It's also not like we were being loud and angering any of the neighboring tables. At best, Spinners needs to do a better job handing checks and clearing tables quickly. At worst, they have some corrupt workers there who aren't afraid to steal from patrons. In either case, they need to do a better job handling complaints about such overcharges. I was pretty sad about this because other than that I really enjoyed my trip here. I would recommend checking it out if you're looking for a bar with good prices and good food, but make sure to put a ----- in front of the total on your check. read more

Appears to be garage style doors that can open to connect the indoors & outdoors. After sitting there being bypassed a few times by the waitress i saw a sign that stated "order at the bar". They have a large selection of alcoholic & beer drink options to choose from. The menu is catered more to light eats with a sprinkling of seafood platters. Ordered the snow crab legs & when they arrived they looked & smelled delicious with potatoes, corn, sausage & an egg with Cajun seasoning & butter. The crab clusters were warm at the cluster but the legs were ice cold. The clusters were meaty...the legs not so much. I wish I could really give this place 2 and a half stars because thats about what it deserves. Like alot of bars Ive walked in to find this place packed and other times if walked in to find the place dead with only a few regulars at the bar. First let me start with the good, the beer is cold, served in an oversized mug and reasonably priced. You will sometimes see some pretty motorcycles parked outside you can stare at but not touch. The wait staff is somewhat attentetive and friendly and the restrooms are reasonably clean and maintained. Food is nothing special, but good for what it is. What does not work for spinners is the live music and DJ. First of all theres no need for a DJ if you dont have a dance floor. Honestly if I wanted to dance I would go to a club or a dancehall not to a small bar and grill. If you go with friends the only way to have a conversation over the loud music is to stand out on the small patio. The in house music might play something country before a DJ plays Top 40 hip hop so be warned the music is all over the map. All in all spiners is a great place to grab a quick beer on the way home from work. Also if you go with a date take advantage of Cindies a few doors down in the same strip mall. read more

I would like the public to know that I'm giving this place 5 stars not only due to the good food but the excellent customer service. With that being said I purchased a large shrimp boil. Keep in mind I eat at this place all the time and its easy to identify when something not right . When I got home with my food I was very disappointed with it the butter sauce had no texture, it didn't have the Cajun taste like it usually did. It look like they just poured butter on it no season and not to mention I didn't get the amount of shrimp I had always received. So I called and ask to speak with the manager Devin she was amazing and accommodating apologized for the service and ask that I give them another chance. She offered to comp another meal for me. So yesterday I called to reorder the dinner and had the pleasure to speak with her again I was impressed that she remembered the conversation and stated that she would make sure they got it right and she did.
