these guys are incompetent!!!! Started phone service through Time Waner/Specturn -first of August. The phone service is at a different address than billing. They said they understood that. Did not get a bill. Mid September I get a call - somehow they got the billing phone number saying that they did not get payment. I asked what address did they send it to, - wrong address. Oh, we will not charge you a late fee, we will get this worked out etc. Still no bill. Approximately three weeks later with no notice, they turned off the phone of my 92 year old mother. I still do not have a bill, I paid over the phone - still no bill. Are they saying sorry, sorry, sorry - not really. They appear to mess up every day and they are not shocked by their ineptitude. I am shocked. Somethings are too easy to get right. This was one, they got it wrong. And then they added insult to injury. read more

This place ain't getting ANY love... I had a great experience here. Walked in, signed in on the tablet (you have to sign in if you want help!), and patiently waited my turn. Yes, there was only one associate on hand, but blame their corporate office for that, not THIS store. The woman working the shop that day called my name, helped me out quickly, and got me on my way. No hiccups, no bumps, no BS, no kidding! I joked with her a bit to help lighten her up - I could tell the previous frazzled customers were too common a sighting in this place. That's too much, too often for one person - any person - to deal with. Just be patient here. Have a little compassion on the person working the shop. They aren't responsible for your troubles at home either. They can only offer so much help from a store. Furthermore, they generally aren't install technicians, so may not have the in-depth knowledge required to resolve your issues at home. Again, don't blame the store! The commercials are pathetic as it doesn't honor anything they say when you call in and the last three months my bill has been off. If you can go elsewhere, please do. Randomly, different channels cut out (during while watching) and I call for support and am on hold for typically over 40 minutes and then they ask if I reset it. That is my first go to. If I could give zero I would. I was told I was getting cable boxes. I received 2 Apple TV , cool that works I'll try it out. Opened up watched tv for about 15 min and everything just stopped working. Remotes don't work, cable is black screen with buffering and if I click on a Chanel it tell me it is not available. I called spectrum to cancel my service and was told we have to charge you for the boxes we told you that you we not getting. I was told to call Apple support for help. Called Apple support I was told to call spectrum to return them. The customer service I received from spectrum was below grade level and a embarrassment to any company. What a piece of shit company. I had this crappy service for I don't remember how long. If I could give it less than a one star review I would. This story goes back aways. I've been in this residence for 19 years. 17 of those years I had a dedicated fax line for a business. I let Spectrum come Into my home about two years ago. Everything was fine. Before Spectrum I believe I had Directv internet and Verizon. I wanted faster internet so I upgraded to Spectrum business 200 mps or whatever. The service was horrible. Dropping all the time. They also hooked up two routers. One for phone and one for internet. Somehow through this process I lost my fax line and they couldn't tell me why. I I got rid of piece shit Spectrum and turned in two routers and numerous other cables to the Spectrum facility in Temecula. I wanted the guy scan my items...not sure he scanned both but he appeared to be under extreme pressure. I left. It's been about a year and I get a letter from Spectrum saying I owe them 60 bucks. Fuck you Spectrum! You will never ever ever ever ever see another dime of my.money. NEVER!!!! Keep sending those letters and I will tear them up and send them back to you you piece of shit as ass company. You got some nerve after the crap I went through with you. Spectrum sucks! Yes it's cheaper than most, but since we've switched we've had issues with our Internet and TV. The internet is sloooow and I can't get on line upstairs which isn't that far from the router. The TV is constantly pixelating. I've had them out to fix it numerous times with no results. We finally found out how to fix it on our own which is a huge inconvenience, but has to be done if we want to continue watching the channel we were on. We have the package deal. It's much cheaper and does save us money. But....our cel service is confusing. Two out of three of us have unlimited, which we pay for yet when we reach our limit our cel service slows down. Why? Probably because they want more money. Haven't asked them yet, but I will. Just want to give you a heads up. read more

They have gone beyond what most customer service representatives would do. My issue was resolved ONLY due to their tenacious pursuit of the cause and the resolution. They were able to assist me and still attend to other customers without compromising service to others. The other agents there as well made sure I was being taken care if they did not see me being engaged by one of the staff. My husband was interested in the service but asked him to not come to our home. He gave him his number yet, he kept coming. I answered and informed him that there's a reason we asked him not to and he put his hand in my door to stop me from closing it to try & get in what he wanted to say. This liar told us that we could only get a particular sports channel if we got the Apple TV. So we got two. Only to find out that we didn't need the Apple TV at all. We were willing to eat the cost of the one that was open but, when they had us send back the other one (as it was unopened), they said: no, we're sending it back to you, you have to pay for it. This is absolutely ridiculous that we have to pay $300+ for somethin we never needed and on top of it, an installation charge. Ever since Spectrum has taken over Time Warner the streaming service has been horrible. I would give Spectrum a ZERO if possible. The bandwidth is typically too low to stream Amazon video even with the highest package rate. In the past three days, the internet mysteriously disconnects from our SMART TV at least three or four times during the day. Time Warner Cable had much better WI FI services. If we could change providers we would but our complex only has Time Warner now Spectrum available. read more

This review is actually for the installation experience we had with Dennis in Murrieta. As soon as he walked in our door, he was extremely pleasant and to the point. He introduced himself, went over our order to ensure it was accurate and matched what we ordered. Unfortunately it wasn't. There were added items that we didn't order so Dennis took it upon himself to call customer service and get our order corrected all while having the rep on speaker phone. The rep he spoke with was also pleasant. Once he fixed that, he explained what he was installing, how it was going to be done, and where he was going to need access. He put on some booties for his shoes which showed us that he cared about keeping our home clean. We appreciated that very much. Dennis was very patient and took his time to do everything properly. He asked us several times if we had any questions or concerns. Once everything was hooked up, he went over the remote, guide screen and where to find support for the box/remote. We were so impressed with the service we wanted to make sure he was recognized. We hope to meet people like Dennis in the future. He was the nicest technician we've ever met. Thank you sir! For the past 2 months, I have been trying to resolve a fraudulent transaction that took place with Spectrum regarding a cell phone which was apparently given to us as a "GIFT" when I called to transfer our service before we moved from Temecula to Murrieta. I was told I was under no obligation to purchase the phone or to open a cell service account with Spectrum; the phone was just a thank you for 10 years of loyal service (Residential AND our Business) but as soon as we moved into our new house, the solicitations began and then I was told by one of those solicitors that I was already under contract to pay for the phone I had received. I called Spectrum again and again, too many times to count and was assured every single time that this was an error and would be resolved. And then last month, a payment was taken out of our business checking account (from which we pay our Spectrum business account on line) WITHOUT my authorization for a cell phone account that didn't even exist, that I never opened!! Two weeks ago, a supervisor told me that her notes indicated that I walked into a Spectrum store and purchased the phone and provided the account number for auto pay .... DEFINITELY A LIE... and then was told by the same supervisor that no one at Spectrum would EVER give a cell phone to a customer as a gift; as if I was the one who was lying. The manager at the Spectrum store who I spoke to the next day, additionally told me that Spectrum doesn't even keep bank account numbers on file so there's no way they could've taken the money out without me providing it; again, suggesting that I had to have been responsible for this "mistake" in some way. In any event, an investigation was supposed to be opened on May 18th and I was promised a phone call within 7 to 10 days. Not only have I never received a phone call in 2 weeks, but I received another email indicating an additional payment is scheduled to come out again on 6/17. I spent 1 hour and 33 minutes on the phone with Spectrum ONCE AGAIN today and was told that a supervisor would call me back after all of that. The fraud department won't even talk to me because they said this is simply a "Sales Manipulation" issue; but Spectrum refuses to acknowledge that funds are being taken out of my account without my authorization, and NOT ONE DIME has been reimbursed to my account since that first payment was debited two weeks ago! I'm ready to press charges and cancel all services with Spectrum first thing tomorrow morning if no one calls me back today and I highly doubt anyone will call. As I already stated, no one from Spectrum has EVER kept their word and followed up with me regarding this matter. read more

Awful,awful service. Started with canceling my bill which was easy. I asked to make sure that it was taken care of and I won't be receiving another bill. She said "correct, you will not receive another bill". But here it is a month later and I get a charge for equipment. $60. She never mentioned I had to return a modem (we've had the service forever, forgot I even had a modem associated with it). So I get this bill and I call. And now they say all I have to do is drop it off at a spectrum store. I'm in the spectrum store and was yelled at after I was all the way to the counter saying that i had to sign in up front. Not friendly in any way. And after waiting 30 minutes for the same people still being serviced at each station, I asked a lady worker (Cassie) if I can get a text when it's my turn (so I could take care of other things in the same parking lot since I didn't realize dropping off was going to be such a one-consuming ordeal). After all, the rep on the phone earlier today told me they just scan it in the store and know it's mine so it will automatically take the charge off and I will not get another bill. Cassie here in store was very rude telling me I have to wait everyone is there for different things. Dropping off a modem has to wait like everyone late even those getting new phones set up. Both employees in this store are very rude. There is one other here and I can't speak with regards to that one. He's one that I didn't have any interaction with. He is still with the same people he was with when I came in 52 minutes ago. The lady though keeps disappearing in the back between customers. She disappeared after her last customer again and then it was my turn. I feel she purposely kept me waiting because she didn't like me asking about texting. She is an over-explainer and i had to ask her to take the next customer when there was one before me so that i can get my modem dropped off when it's my turn - sooner, rather than later now. When I first came in there were two stations going each with a customer and two people waiting. Cassie came out after 30 minutes and helped one (for 20+ minutes) then disappeared again before helping me, the next customer. Will never buy spectrum products or service again. read more

I live in an apartment complex in Temecula. Not much choice other than Spectrum. But seriously, it's just one TV that I stream netflix/hulu. No gaming, no multiple devises. And the "basic" internet package (after the intro rate) is jumping to $80 a month?!!! I don't even have cable! I don't get why it is so expensive, and worst part is that I'm stuck with it because there are literally no other options since our apt wont allow mounting satellites. What a rip off. Total Bait and Switch. Initially Cable TV, internet and home phone were $89 per month as advertised by Spectrum/TWC. After one year this leapt to $190 pm. The explanation was that the $89 was an introductory offer for one year and I was now getting the full no-discounted price. Latest bill is $222. It seems we are over two years with them and all discounts have now fallen away. I pointed out that I am sure they made a profit at $89 so $222 is just pure extortion read more

So sad that TWC/Spectrum is going down the tubes! I discontinued our cable in August 2016 and somehow our phone service got cut off too. The phone number that was given to me 2 yrs ago, is no longer the phone number that I can be reached at. They changed the phone number without even letting us know!!! I can call out on the phone line, but people can't call in on the phone line. I found out by my doctor calling my mobile phone to say that they could not reach me by my home phone line. (not to mention that I have to have surgery in a couple of days and the importance of having a land line) We had a pkg with TWC for phone, tv and internet, but when my bill became $189.00 from $140.00, we decided to drop cable. A week ago today they told me the phone problem was ok and they retrieved my phone number. WRONG!!! I notice the same problem today and they told me it should be repaired in 48 Hours. plus they took back the credit that they originally offered and made it less. WoW such horrible service! I have been a customer for over 4 years and every time I go into the store to pay their employee, Cassie, is very unprofessional. I prefer to pay in cash so if something goes wrong I can talk to someone about what happens. She always gives me a hard time and today I tried to pay in cash so I don't over pay and she kept telling me I can only pay the kiosk. I don't like paying more than what my bill is and I needed change, she told me She could break my $20 but what's the big deal. If she can break my $20 why can't I just pay her for my bill it would be the same. She was rude when I tried asking what's the problem and why can't she just take my money and just kept saying they can't and to pay at the kiosk. I have had her every time I go in and I dread it. Terrible customer service and shady ass business practices. I requested internet service with TM over the phone...and I setup my own equipment. To my surprise they charged me technician / setup fees and raised the price of my monthly bill. In short, their marketing is great however the shady shit and dance you gotta go through to make things as agreed upon is ridiculous....lastly, the Internet service seems to bottleneck at times and slows down. I'm not a satisfied customer, obviously...and will be looking for a better internet experience ..... The office location in Temecula is of no help. Their system goes back six months and I've had to deal with this shit every god damn month...which leaves me at a point where they can't see the original agreement in their system and want me to just pay whatever the current rates are read more

I cancelled cable service via phone on Monday January 18 (nearly an hour long process) and was heading into the store that same day just to return our cable box. (I should also mention I called to cancel our service two weeks before but the agent on the phone said to wait until the end of our billing period since they can't prorate in California. Total BS, I've had cable with Cox and AT&T and both prorated our last month.) I went through front door checkin and there were only 3 people in front of me which made me hopeful since I had to be there with my 3 year old. Unfortunately, it was almost 45 minutes before my name was finally called. When the agent (who told me he was the store manager) went to process my equipment, he said service had never been turned off. You'd think, no problem, just turn it off and here's my equipment. The account is under my husbands name. This hasn't been a problem for the many times I've had to call in regarding our account. I have all the account info including our PIN number, all of my husbands pertinent info memorized, our most recent bill and OUR FREAKING CABLE BOX WITH SERIAL NUMBER, but nope, not enough for this dude who can see me in person. My husband had just gone into a meeting at work so couldn't do much, but sent a text saying it was ok to add me to the account, which I showed the agent from my phone, sent from my husbands phone number. Still not enough. He HAS to speak to him in person. Did I mention that this is the last day to do this or we're getting charged another $100 of TV service that can't be prorated?? So after standing there for another 30 minutes with my son freaking out, waiting for my husband to get out of his meeting, my husband calls. I put him on the phone with the jerk manager who only asks him his date of birth and if it's ok to add me to account. Never even verified what phone number the call came from. Then he passed me off to another lady who processed my equipment (who I should say was super nice and if I'd just had the experience with her, my review would be quite different.) But instead I will warn every person I know to stay away from this terrible company and most specifically from the manager at the Temecula location. He should be banned from all customer service positions for the rest of his life. read more

Horrible in store customer service. The technician that came to the house was great. We had to return our cable box for a new one though. I went in store for the replacement, customer service employee had his feet up on a chair and was playing on his phone. He acknowledged my presence without looking up from the phone and then "system is down. Can't help ya!" All without looking up from his phone. I was helped by a rep named Monroe and i came in to return my modem and router and told him i wanted to cancel my internet. He started looking at the screen and not saying anything for like 5 minutes so i asked if he was able to find my account. He was rude said he was doing something and he end up canceling out my cable to which is included in my rent so i didn't want that canceled. He blamed me because he said i didn't say not the cable too! I was like you didn't ask me and thats your job to do so. I only came in with internet equipment not cable boxes. He had to call out his manager who didn't introduce himself and never got his name he was unprofessional as well. I mentioned to Monroe i was going to write corporate and he flashed his name badge and said i don't care do what you gotta do! My name is Monroe and proceeded to flash his name badge at me! I said that's the point you don't care! I ended up in that store for 45 minutes just to pay my last bill up and cancel my internet because Monroe didn't know what he was doing and the manager was barely helping him. After checking the cable and the speed of the internet coming into the house he found that it was faulty new equipment (modem) from Spectrum. I was happy that he replaced it, but they should have done more in the way of customer service to start with and not blamed everyone else for their issue. read more

NIGHTMARE. That pretty much sums it up. - false advertisement. We were told the package we bought would have channels we really wanted. Only to find out when our cable was installed those channels actually didn't come with our package. - a few weeks after we had our cable installed our channels weren't showing up. (Constant problem the whole time we had cable. They came out 6 times in a matter of a few months) - a week after we had our cable "fixed" our box completely went out. - another time our cable stopped working they tried to charge us $40 to have someone come fix it. - when we decided to turn our cable off they charged us $40 to come and disconnect it. I don't want your service yet you're going to charge me for more of it??? Doesn't make sense to me. - they didn't give us a day to when they were coming out to disconnect the cable. Therefore we couldn't give the worker our cable box. - since we didn't receive that info we drove to 3 locations which were, of course, not there. When we finally found a location in Temecula it instructed us to go to another location. Last but no least - horrible customer service. The automated instructions don't recognize anything and takes forever to finally speak to a representative. Half the time they don't know what they're saying and everyone has a different answer. Not to mention theyre rude. Bottom line is, unless you want to waste hours of time sitting on the phone or waste money, don't get time warner. read more

Big waste of time. On Monday evening was at Spectrum Wireless on Grape St...to sign up for wireless phone service. They could not verify and information on me or my hubby. I wanted to change from Red Pocket tmobile...well what the hell! There about an hour still cannot verify identity..I had my drivers license and account number with spectrum tv and internet...so not able to do anything. 2nd hour there the computer says we need to send you a sim card to your house...it will be there in 2 days guaranteed! Then I bring my own Brand New phone Moto G Stylus still in the box from Sams club....guess what..you cannot bring your own new Moto G phone...I have to buy theirs!! Found out today That Was A Lie! Still waiting home for delivery of Sim card at 6:07 pm...just received a notice from Fedex it will be delivered Friday before 8pm!! Go somewhere else please! read more

1 star only because -5 is not available. Picked this particular review sequence because, of all the reviews, Temecula is geographically closest to Canyon Lake. After having Verizon FIOS for a couple of years, we switched to TWC for our phone & internet, and to Dish for TV several months ago. This was done to save a few bucks. Fortunately, we did not have to sign a contract. Dish has been great, and looking back, Verizon was good as well. Time Warner Cable, on the other hand, is absolutely horrible. As we all learn after a while, you only find out how good a company is when something goes wrong. Are they able to resolve things properly within a reasonable period of time? That is always the question. This last Saturday late afternoon, our internet and phone went down. Since we have a VOIP phone as well, that went down when the internet went down. Sunday morning I called them to find out if it was an area outage or whether we were on our own. After spending 45 minutes on hold and in various stages of hold, I was told that we were an isolated case and that the first available service was on Tuesday. I protested. My wife and I operate a small business out of our home and are dependent on the phone in particular. And in property management, you need to have a phone 24 hours a day for emergencies. A couple of hours after the initial contact, we received a call back stating that they would try to get the local service provider to come out that day. Unfortunately, an hour later we were again told that it would be Tuesday. Later in the day we received an automated call stating that they would be out between 10 and noon tomorrow. This means that we will have been without phone and internet for about three days, and we have had to reschedule a trip for which we were supposed to leave on Tuesday morning. This is completely unacceptable. In today's digital world, one cannot be without these services for three days. Switching back to Verizon today. Just one more comment. In the last twenty years or so, we have had cable services twice: Charter Cable in La Canada and now Time Warner Cable in Canyon Lake. Both experiences have been unpleasant. Maybe the real lesson here is simply to stay away from cable companies! ___ This note is being added an hour after the original review was posted above. We just had both the phone and the internet return. In other words, TWC's diagnosis was completely incorrect - the problem is not in our home, but somewhere in their system. I wonder how long it will take them to figure this out and whether or not they will still show up tomorrow. Meantime, Verizon is already scheduled. read more
