About every two or three months, aggressive salesmen in plain clothes claiming to be from Frontier will knock on our door aggressively for minutes on end until we open the door. We've gone as far as putting "no soliciting" signs on our door and they continue to harass us. First, I need to state that I was never really unhappy with Frontier's service, but that's where it ends... When we began the service they promised us $37.99 internet, but the actual bills were $73. They sent a girl to the house that looked like a Hollywood starlet to sign us up....they also twist your arm to use autopay from a debit account that you can't dispute. Then a year later the bill went up to $110-I called, complained, and they dropped it to $54.99/month. So, after a few months I went with a different provider that offered us 5G service with a five-year rate guarantee, and that rate is equal to what Frontier was charging us, so we decided to go with them. That evening we called Frontier to tell them we were discontinuing the service. OF COURSE they got a human on the line right away to talk us out of it, offering us discounts, etc., but after a half-hour of telling them "not only no but hell no!!" they finally relented and told us how to make that happen. You have to box up the equipment and return it at a UPS store with a QR code that they provide. Fair enough. We did that, 6 days into the billing cycle, which should have been a $10.99 prorated charge. 24 days later, they debited my bank account again fr a full month. I called to dispute the charge, and after an hour of trying finally admitted that there was no way they were gonna let me speak with a human being ever again. There is no way either by telephone or on the website that you can dispute a charge that they make to your account. So, we went to our bank and told them. They reminded us that they could cancel the card that Frontier was charging to but that it would be impossible to refund money to that card # once it had been cancelled. So, I looked up the nearest Frontier internet (15 miles from us in Menifee), drove there, and it's just an equipment storage lot. They literally have no offices where you can talk to humans. The only way you CAN talk with a human is to either sign up for new service or try to discontinue it, where they try really hard to talk you out of it. This is a shame, because their internet service was very good, but they treat their customers like they are just dollar signs on balance sheets, they steal from you after you stop doing business with them and force you to pry them away from your bank accounts. Their sales tactics and account management are borderline criminal, and I cannot recommend them. read more

They have come to my house 3 times in the last couple of months and they all ring the doorbell which has a no soliciting sign right above it. It's a total waste of time, issues are still pending. Last tech support I spoke with on the phone and their tech support said the eero max7 was a good dual band router :) And another said eero max7 does support WPA-2. Its a mesh router not dual band. Here's the thing about Frontier. Their actual internet is the best. Their customer service, scheduling, AI chatbot, and any other tool meant to help the customer (upgrades, billing, technician services) is the worst of any business that I have been a customer of. The only reason I am still with them is because their services internet is the best where I live. If another company came a long, that has internet that is comparable and better customer service, I will leave this company in a heartbeat. I will give several examples. I have had them going on 5-6 years now. At year 4, I decided to upgrade my internet. While they were fast in getting out here, they, they couldn't provide the exact service as advertised, and missed billed me for several months. Every time, I had to chat on that stupid chatbot with live agents, trying to fix my billing. Going back to not providing what was advertised, they are working on getting sued as they never say if their services are for current customers or new customers. Lookout for that. Just recently, I have been trying to get my phone service of my plan setup. I have had to deal with wasted time doing repeated diagnostics, odd out of the blue cancellation (with no warning or communications), and already agreed upon technician appointments being rescheduled without approval by me. So, you constantly have to reschedule their "unapproved by the customer rescheduled" appointment, if that makes sense. I have wasted time off work waiting for technician who never showed up, because they decided to change things. If it wasn't for the fact that they have the best internet in the IE, due to the customer service, I would have left years ago. Be Warned. Check with Spectrum first. read more

Customer service is a joke. Calling is a joke, so many automated questions to end up having to do it all again with a person on the phone. Lemme get started with the other person on the phone, accents are one thing but when you outsource your call center to another country, the understanding of English words are present but the comprehension is not and with 45 minutes on the phone, it got me no where but a wasted 45 minutes plus the time it took to write this review. I have not had an issue with my service but trying to access my account is impossible. The issue is that email address says on their system that it doesn't exist, when I type in my information to get a link, it doesn't ask for my email just my name and account, it sends me an email to email that Frontier says doesn't exist. Nicholas came doing door to door sales and still knocked on my door even though there was a no solicitation sign on my door. We were not happy. The next tale was that there would be no extra charges if we don't like it, but there is an Early Termination Fee of $100 if you cancel within the first year. He says that change was only last week, which I have determined that is a lie. I had to speak to Sean Shay to have my install concerns answered because Nicholas didn't know any of the answers. We still decided to do the installation because our internet service is sooo spotty. Louis, the technician, showed up for his appointment on time. He forgot something and went back to the warehouse. He was kind enough to return with booties for his shoes because it was raining outside. That was only because I asked if he had some to begin with, but he remembered to bring some back. He was very professional, polite, and kind. This man made sure to explain everything ahead of time because he could tell I was nervous. He went out of his way to make sure the box outside was installed, which was not visible to the eye, and made sure to do the same inside. We talked about how this company only had 1 star on Yelp and that I was really weary about changing over. Her did a magnificent install! He made no additional holes in my wooden floor and added a secure box to hold the equipment that my grandkids can't pull on. I was very; very happy with my installation! So far, on this rainy night, I see no buffering or digital pixels on my TV. I believe this may be the beginning of a wonderful service provider. I'll let you know when the bill comes! Company is void of customer service. We are moving out of the country so I called to cancel since they will not let you do it on their website. Then, they try to upsell you and after repeating 4 different times my pin number she ask me to refer the new homeowners and leave the service connected. If they sign up "we will give you a gift card". It took 45 minutes just to cancel then they inform me they are gonna charge me "a $50 restocking fee" if you return the router. I said that is ridiculous and your service is never the speed we pay for when I do speed tests. Going offline for no reason is common. The customer service rep was rude and tried to overtalk me constantly until I said "would you please let me get a word in edgewise before you overtalk me and listen for one second". I ask to remove the restocking fee as it was a ridiculous fee for returning your router to you and just greed. She transferred me back to customer service and I got the same treatment. Contacted 6 times in an attempt to resolve the internet service outage at my residence. Sat on hold for greater than 30 minutes each time with no answer. I requested a call back, never received it. It stated to go to the application to resolve issues. It guided me through resetting my router and modem, but it did nothing. Have reset it 10+ times and the outage happens every single day for hours over the last two to three weeks. Sometimes the app says outage, but most of the time, it says nothing. Ordered their 1 gig internet after being promised that there were no charges if I cancelled. 1 gig produced 500-600 mbts within 5 feet of the modem.....and 27mbts 2 rooms away. I bought a $300 mesh system (the same brand as their modem) and that boosted the signal to 60-70 mbts. Really? Likes that's acceptable????? I cancelled 3 days after installation and surprise! Absolutely worst company I have ever worked with!!!!! Over the last year my internet has gone out over 5 times with no explanation as to why. When trying to schedule an appointment they make it seem easy but then don't show up on the day of the apt or cancel the day of. They have replaced the router twice now and I have still been without internet for 4 days now and they can't even get me over to a manager to help me because they are so avoidant and unhelpful. Omg worst ever, a very polite young lady came to my door and convinced me their customer service had changed. I actually felt with a lot of polite people just none that could get the job done. Two months later they have yet to set up my service yet they are charging me for service that has never been set up. Signed up for Frontier internet with Direct TV but decided to cancel the next day as it just did not fit our likings. They then ignored the cancelation and sent a box to the house we had just sold and left to which we did not request. What a nightmare to get rid of that box with some kind of equipment in it. Since we had canceled before we had a ID number they could not send a QR code. When I got hold of Frontier on chat and asked for the nearest Frontier office they sent me out to an area off a dirt road that was a house and not a Frontier office. Nobody would take the box at the UPS store or Staples for Fed Ex. Finally they told me where the Fed Ex office was off Florida Ave. Since the box was not opened they would take and send it back. what a nightmare that took me 3 days to solve.
