I already had a spectrum TV and internet account and we had our phones with AT&t. Decided to change to spectrum mobile to save some money and we did. AT&t has raised the price many times over all the years. The last was to not recognize veterans and servicemen with a discount and removing the discount for direct pay. Guess the CEO needed a bigger bonus this year. We've had them for many years and we just got sick of it. I was late by one day of cancelling service and they wouldn't make an exception. I was forced to pay for a full month even though i cancelled the policy a day after the billing cycle. It took 1.5 hours to drop off a modem. To make matters worse, one of their leads, Destiny, sarcastically shouted across the room for me to sign in the moment I walked in, in a condescending tone. While waiting, another customer began to talk to me and complained about this same employee without me having brought up my own experience with her. I let the manager, Christian, know about the ridiculous wait and my experience overall, and all he had to say was "thank you for your feedback" in a curt and condescending manner. Our family got tired of the internet going down since we got Spectrum when we arrived at our new home. I work from home and not having internet was VERY inconvenient to me. The service would randomly go down for 3 hours and the longest time we were without internet was 7 hours. When we would call the Spectrum representatives, they couldn't tell us why the internet went down, just gave us an approximate time that it would be up again. Then of course, I would ask for a discount for having no service. We loved the channels we were able to get with the bundle, but it didn't justify continuing with their service when the internet would go down, so we had to switch services to their competitor, which costs less. read more

It was a simple upgrade to new iphones - the upgrade and transfer was so botched that even apple said to take it back and have them redo it. She refused to help or fix our problem and told us apple is wrong and she is right - but the phone has no data!!!! We had no service for 3 days thanks to this store. Upon asking for management, I got. shes out, shes not here, shes at lunch, you can wait there in the corner and wait if she shows up.... I enjoy Spectrum's internet and cable services, but all is not completely terrific. I am retired and watch lots of TV. Spectrum's charges are not cheap - $250 per month. I was just informed that pricing is increasing $10 per month this January. Time to shop for a new provider. read more

Absolutely the worst customer service I've ever experienced in my life. I just recently switched my business account to Spectrum with 18 lines. We needed to upgrade two of the phones so we went to our nearest Spectrum store, what a mistake!! The lady we approached was extremely rude from the beginning. I told her we were there to get new phones for two of the lines and that we were a business account. She said I can't help you unless you can verify your business and that she needed a business license to do that. Obviously, I don't carry my business license in my back pocket, but she could've easily got customer care on the phone to verify me. I had my drivers license with me with my name on it and I also had a corporate business platinum American Express with the business name on it and my name on it. She would not help me and told me I had to call customer support, which I did. Customer service told me they needed to create the order then go through customer service to verify me. While I was on the phone with Support and had the clerk in front of me, she turned her name badge around so I could not see it. I also mentioned maybe I made a mistake. Switching to this carrier since I could not get good service, her comment was you can always go back! Wow! I guess Spectrum doesn't want Business. Management at the store needs to do some serious overhauls! No one was nice in there. No one greeted you when you came in. No one had a pleasant look on their face. Everyone just looks sour. Maybe it's management and they all hate working there. I don't know what the problem is. I will handle all my business directly on the phone through spectrum and I won't go anywhere near that store again. I recently upgraded my phone, but since the store didn't have the model I wanted, I arranged for it to be shipped to my home. I faced difficulties transferring the data once I received the device. When I visited Spectrum in Redlands, the associate (Dave) showed no willingness to help or guide me in resolving the problem. Spectrum's rates for the internet speed is not competitive compared to Cox and especially not compared to Google fiber. However I had no choice at my apartment and got Spectrum internet. Fast forward 2 years later after moving and finally being able to get a much better internet provider, Spectrum never stops calling me. I spoke to their representatives and said it's not even an option at my new apartment and please take me off your list and they still call from different numbers with their "deals" all the time. I just try to block every number they call from. I would NOT recommend Spectrum, they carry themselves like a scam company would. They are obnoxious. When I had Spectrum and told them I was planning on canceling they started saying they would lower my rates. Guess they could be more competitive with their pricing when they think they're losing someone. read more

Went to this location to exchange equipment for Internet and tv as it didn't work. They had the order in their system but refused to exchange the equipment as I was not authorized on the account. When I set up the exchange with spectrum over the phone they were more than helpful and told me exactly what to do never said I had to be authorized. At the store instead of being helpful they turned me away. An employee who wasn't even helping me started mouthing off to me. Amazingly poor service at this location. Worst. Internet. Ever. It drops multiple times per day. Streaming doesn't work because it drops, my son can't do his online school because it drops. I constantly have to reconnect devices to the network... because it drops. Customer service is just an automated waste of time. It feels like Spectrum hates its loyal customers. Spectrum's entire focus seems to be on attracting new customers while providing poor and expensive service to existing customers. Think about it...a long term loyal customer might have a bill of over $225/mo so a new customer can get a better plan for under $100/mo. A decent company would understand the value of existing and new customers and offer them both a reasonable rate somewhere in between. Spectrum has all sorts of tricks to make it hard to fire them. They make it dufficult to downgrade or cancel services on line by trying to force customers to call so their hard sale team cam try to talk you out of canceling their service. Spectrum, in my opinion, should be avoided at all costs. I'd rather get a poison oak rash than have to deal with Spectrum again To add perspective, we had had cable through Spectrum and its predecessors for over 35 years. read more
