I went to a Corporate Verizon store in Redlands on September 7th to upgrade from my IPhone 7, and was told they had no IPhones available and got very scammy vibes. Buyer Beware! I'm usually very cautious and do not fall for sales pitches or salespeople; however, Dimone caught me off guard and I was under duress. I was doing 4 things at a time and was distracted while trying to establish service. I should've followed my gut and left. I filed formal complaints with California Public Utilities Commission and Verizon Customer Service. In short, I was supposed to only finance $200 and I ended up financing $1,610.00 because of the way Dimone finagled the account set-up. On Monday, 3/4/2024. I will send a demand letter to Verizon Legal Department to request remedies and cures for the unethical and fraudulent conduct of Wireless Plus, a Verizon Authorized Retailer, that caused personal injury to myself and my business line that was ported into Verizon as a new transfer account. I've already spent a little bit more than 5 hours trying to fix my account issues. On 2/28/24 from 3:30pm to 6:30pm, I was in a Loma Linda Verizon authorized retailer store to trade-in an old phone and start new business service. The representative, Dimone promised $1000.00 credit for an iPhone 15 Pro for new service and trading in my old phone. The wireless gateway was supposed to be free. I was promised a $70 bill and 2 days later I reviewed the bill to find no promotions were applied and my bill was $190.00. Dimone also added a protection plan that was not asked for. He also put the store's address as my billing address and entered a bogus contact number. On 3/1/2024, I visited a Sherman Oaks corporate location to get some clarity on my bill and to return the devices associated with my new account. I was told I need to handle the return at the Loma Linda authorized retailer store. I was also advised on the frequent complaints about unethical and fraudulent transactions at authorized retailer stores. read more

I was thinking of getting a new phone but dreading the usual ordeal. I called the Verizon store I usually use, and the recording indicated that the store wasn't taking phone calls because they were helping in-store customers. Exactly why I dislike getting a new phone. I did some checking and found this Authorized Retailer very close to my office, so I called them. Landon answered and was friendly and helpful, answering all my questions about what phones they had in stock and how to go about activating a new phone. He was so great, I decided to purchase a phone today and drove over immediately so I could have him help me. When I arrived, there were no other customers and Landon brought out the phone I had asked about. He accessed my account quickly and started the process of activating my new phone. Shan, the manager was equally friendly and helpful. I was in and out in no time with a brand-new phone and was even able to trade in my old device. It doesn't get any better than this. If you are local and need Verizon, this is the place to go. They did say that later in the day they get pretty busy so if you are going, go first thing when they open. Buyer please be aware and go to a corporate store and not this store. Back in April I was helped by the business manager Demone who made promises to me about the bill I would receive if I switched to Verizon, however, this turned out to be woefully inaccurate. When I received the first bill estimate for over $400, he told me to return to the store when the bill actually dropped so that he could remove the activation charges and some of the other charges that were on my account incorrectly. I returned to the store multiple times and he was not there. The employee who was there told me he could not make those changes only the business manager, who promised me the changes. Now today, I returned to the store after paying almost $600 in a month and I am being told that the business manager is no longer working there and that the best they could do was send an email to Wireless Pluses customer service, not Verizon. Additionally, he was unable to provide a corporate phone number for us to call or manager, leaving us to rely only on a possibility that someone would honor the word of the ex business manager. This is unacceptable customer service. Not once was I ever treated like this at T-Mobile. I will also be filing formal complaints with the BBB and Verizon about this franchise. I went to this location on Saturday, January 8, 2024 and had the pleasure of being helped by Dimone Backus. I was in need of a new phone and I've been a Verizon Customer for over 18 years. Before going to this location, I spent 30 minutes on a call with Verizon and no one was able to help me with my needs and save me money on top of the service need. I had 7 phone lines on my plan. I had already also gone to my local Verizon location in San Dimas but they didn't offer me anything that worked for me. I ended up at the Wireless plus location on Harriman in San Bernardino because I was on my way to a new restaurant. THE BEST DECISION I made was to go here and have Dimone Backus help me. He gave me 100% of his undivided attention and worked through every option he could think of to service my needs. This was all while being the only employee there with 4-5 customers also waiting their turn. He tended to them to show that he valued their patience and in-between setting up my new phone he serviced the other customers. Not only did he go far and beyond great service, he knew all the plans available from end to end, and he also saved me $160 on my almost $500 cell phone bill. ANYONE who needs exceptional and honest service and exceptional customer service I recommend to go to this location and ask for Dimone. Going forward I will drive 30+ minutes to this location for all future cell phone needs. I am hoping this review is seen by his Manager and Leaders. Anyways, I was pretty disappointed in my experience because I was switching over from ATT anticipating better customer service when I experienced awkwardness from the moment I walked in bc 1)The site manager asked me what I needed help with from his desk and didn't ask or instruct where I could sit in the process of switching. 2) it took almost 1 HOUR for them to port my number over 3) I got charged $20 for a SIM card because "that's what our system shows" WELL not quite, I called an actual Verizon store and they said they don't even charge for it -.- especially when moving from another competitor. 4) the store manager didn't know about the promotion going on and neither did the other employee (who tried up correct me) when it says it on the website‍ so I can't tell if I was put on the correct plan with promotion because it isn't appearing in myVerizon app so now I'm having to make a second trip out to a store and get that clarrified. This place business is a crook managers down to their sales associates. This is an authorized retailer meaning not corporate Verizon. They charge $49.00 for activating your phones. Keep in mind, if you go to a corporate Verizon you DO NOT get these charges. I had my lines ported from my previous carrier. My phones were not able to call out, send or receive text messages. It took two weeks to fix. No one knows what they're doing. My phones are all still not working as designed (cannot send multimedia text messages) Always ask for an itemized receipt because the sales associate who was helping me (Valerie) charged me for phone accessaries I did not ask for or ever received. I was switching carriers and was told that I was eligible to get 1000$ of ANY DEVICE. Exited, I decided to go with an android ( I was leaving IPhone). Once I received my Galaxy Fold I realized it wasn't for me and decided to stick with what I Know and that is IPhone. Came back told them I don't want my android anymore and want to go for Apple after all. He asked me what my reasons were and I listed them and he would try and convince me to stay with android. He looked upset and annoyed with me for wanting to put him through the process of changing devices. He than told me that the 1000 off is not applicable to IPhones only androids ‍ I looked at him like are you serious??? He mentioned that I will only get 400 off. Than he brushed us off and attended other customers. He was really rude. He also recommended internet for the house. We were interested and he checked our area and told us our area is eligible, we took the bait and CANCELED the internet we have had for YEARS! We connected the Verizon box come to find out the internet was not 5g and not working well. Called customer service and they told me that this is happening because my area is not applicable to receiving internet. ‍ When I confronted him and told him about the situation and gave him back the internet device the only thing he said was "we can't take that device here you have to ship it to UPS" ‍ like seriously????? He didn't even APOLOGIZE for us having to cancel our old internet. SUCH AN INCONVENIENCE to have to cancel our old internet only to find out the internet Verizon sold us didn't work properly. We later found out after going to a DIFFERENT verizon that the one we had gone to was FRANCHISE. NO WONDER!!!! Moral of the story, DONT GO TO A FRANCHISE VERIZON STORE!!!! Not only is customer service horrible but all they care about is making their sale and don't care about their customers. The person who put me through all this was Agusto,Gustavo or something like that. We ended up canceling our overall service and went to T-Mobile. She said she couldn't touch my phone because it was coming from outside and told me to go to a corporate store, the corporate store is closed today. While she is telling me that, I am trying to hear her over the guys truck taking off that had arrived the same time I did. Went in the other day ready to purchase a gizmo kids watch and a tablet for the kids. I walked in and the store is empty, hardly any phones, no watches on display and the tablet display was a plastic box. Wth kinda crap is that, asked the guy if he can bring one out so we can look at them and see the specs. He said no because they dont have any for display, said how are they supposed to sell them if no one knows that they have'm since theres nothing for customers to see. Asked bout the tablet he said it looks just like the one on display... but theres only a plastic square with like a paper inside to make it look like a tablet. Asked whats the size and thikness of it and again he said its like the display. I guess he couldnt figure out that the display was a plastic square.Thats bad, really bad for business, i dont understand because i was a manager for 2 years for verizon!! So i drove across the street and purchased what i needed and moved over my lines to T- MOBILE... got a free tablet and a watch for near nothing.
