New box greatly needed and appreciated.

NOT AT STORE- house call on 3/7/26 in CPT @ 8:15am. Well what can I say... customer service is still a thing. It mmade the difference of a long-time customer leaving to AT&T (now in the area) or staying. Mr Angel (name befitting) educated me on tech devices that should not be linked to spectrum boxes and checked all wiring. Many may say, "That's his job". This may be true, but being a decent human being is slim to none nowadays. Angel was professional and seemed to enjoy is job. That alone sets him apart. Is Customer Service still a thing-YES. Thanks Angel. keep up th good work.

now she's switching gears, potentially realizing she gave me wrong advice to begin with

Their customer service is terrible. Their employees are untrained to do their jobs, and frankly really rude/ probably hate their lives. Here's my experience: I had my phone stolen and filed a claim for a replacement. The claim went smoothly, although it's $400 to replace via insurance, verizon was previously $200 I will mention. Once I received my phone, it arrived in a brown corrugated box. I was not notified of delivery. They were outside of the 12:20-2:30pm arrival time and adjusted to 8pm ETA. They left it by the mailboxes, where door dash delivery people often steal packages. After realizing the package had been delivered but not shown on fedex tracking I immediately grabbed it around 5:20pm PST. When I opened the box there were 3 pieces of literature giving instructions & the iphone. The literature told me: "To activate your replacement device on Spectrum Mobile network, use a separate device with a secure Wi-Fi network to scan the QR code or visit spectrum.net/mobileactivation. Then sign in and follow the online instructions" I live alone in LA, and only had a laptop so I went the computer route on spectrum.net/mobileactivation. When I logged in I saw my regular dashboard - no instructions. So I began chatting with their customer service. First I spoke to Taylor in Missouri. They ended up leaving me because I was waiting for a verification code. When I got the code, Taylor was gone and I got Danielle from Kansas City Missouri. She was unable to see the chat and I had to re explain what I was trying to accomplish --- activate my replacement phone. I got the perspective Danielle wasn't trained well in her job and maybe in general was having a bad day because she gave me wrong instructions and was really rude to me. She kept saying she needed my IMEI # to activate my phone + is really trying to help me in a condescending tone. She was instructing me to go to Settings - General - About. I was telling her I was chatting her to activate my phone/ didn't have access to Settings (I didn't go through the hello, pick language, data back up steps). I didn't want to choose the wrong item, e.g. data back up - are they helping me with that later and I should click no data set up? She was skipping those steps entirely -- this is why I think she didn't have proper training & definitely not a people person. Come to find out the IMEI # was on the corrugated box it came in. This whole time she's being rude and repeating the same instructions of Settings - General - About, rushing me through the steps to actually set up my phone -- and it's on the box. Alls I'm going to say in this economy there's millions of people looking for jobs and spectrum could find way better, nicer and more helpful people to do this job. Do better Spectrum, Danielle & Taylor in Missouri

I decided to go all in and check out the iPhone 13 with loads more memory than I was working with before. One question was what kind of deal could they cut me and which branch should I go to. I had switched my service from AT&T (they are the devil!) to T-Mobile at the Harbor Gateway and they had treated me well but I saw the Gardena location by Vons had a high Yelp rating too and was closer. I figured it was worth a try. I could always go back to the other location if I didn't like their service. My wife and I were cheerfully greeted by Brenda Hernandez who was soooo helpful. I knew this was the right place. I was able to save a decent amount of money (not a huge amount since my phone was an oldie but a moldy) which would be paid monthly along with our bill. I actually wanted to pay the total all at once but I guess that's how they do things. Brenda assisted me in some of the basic operational differences between the 6 and the 13 and patiently went through the process of data and app transfer and deleting the contents of my old phone. We ran into a glitch but she figured out it was due to the VPN on the 6 so we were able continue without any further hiccups. This is a very convenient location to get to because it's at the end of the shopping center near Rocket Cleaners so you don't have to deal with the Vons traffic and limited parking. I would enter from the West side on Normandie past 155th going northbound if you want to avoid most of the shopping center traffic and the rather large number of stupid drivers and pedestrians glued to their cellphones oblivious to those stupid drivers who would subject them to a hit and run without batting an eye. Park out by the Rocket building or the California Bank and Trust for the quickest entry and exit unless you just HAVE to hit the Starbucks for that pumpkin spice latte. Don't forget. Ask for Brenda at T-Mobile. This is not a paid commercial announcement : )

I agreed and said I would come in on the 8th. A few days later, I messaged to reschedule to the 15th. The owner replied on Yelp that it was fine. On the morning of the 15th, I texted my arrival time a few hours in advance, to which he never replied. I arrived at the shop with my laptop, and the employee working said there was no order for me, which was confusing because the owner had been so communicative. He said he would order the part and it would be there later that week and I agreed to come back. I got a text confirmation with my order number and everything. Fast forward a week and a half: silence. Nothing. I replied to the order confirmation text asking if it had arrived, and I don't know if it went through or not, but it's just weird they wouldn't have the part by now or some kind of update. I gave up, bought a kit on Amazon for $35, and installed it myself in 10 minutes. I don't know where this project fell apart, but if the shop didn't want to take it on, they could have declined it. I'm just confused by lack of follow-through because they have so many good reviews, and I thought I had done everything I could, both in person and online, to confirm I wanted the service.
