Just switched from Directv and Spectrum is making Directv look like a champ! We've had issues from the start. It's a lot of work to hook each tv up because if you don't get a box for each tv you have to use Spectrums app which is confusing. You have to have a DVR for each tv you want to record on, you can't watch on every tv like you can with DT,,,booo! The DVR is horrible. It cuts shows off, it records some shows with lots of interference to the point you just have to give it up and delete the whole damn show. Sometimes the DVR fast forward feature won't work so you are forced to watch all commercials. That is horrible right? and...the DVR does not have a search feature to set up future recordings! Either that I just haven't figured it out with the 5000 hours I've spent trying to figure this all out. Don't bother with their online chat for help. Horrible service there and the person I spoke to was on the verge of rude. I've had to call for service, take a box back, was given the wrong box, had to have a tech come a second time and chat online all in a month in a half time! And my issues are still not resolved. Signed up for Time Warner cable due to a special offer advertisement where you get a $300 visa card if you signed up so I stupidly did that and here it is five months later no visa card and not one coming!! Big scam!!! I'm getting rid of Time Warner cable and will never fall for their bullshit again! read more

This is probably the worst cable channel company we have ever had in many places we have lived. The channel line up is very disorganized and you don't get much for what you pay. The service can be interrupted on any occasion. It took 4 visits to get our service running properly - and our new house was already set up for the service. The internet is slow and you can be without phone service - so keep your cell phone - you will need it to contact the cable company! For $120 per month, I would look elsewhere! read more

Walked in about 1:45pm to handle a box exchange for our account... the person behind the counter asked for account verification info of my fiance, which I have her while on my cell phone. I asked if she would like to speak with the account owner directly and she said NO, she couldn't verify who was on the other end. Apparently 3rd party relay works better for them! As this continues she mentions several times that her service is for MY convenience, and that she could just stop because I wasn't on the account... (the account that she just verified through me!). I informed her her job was to facilitate and resolution to issues customers have with their products as it is the 4th time we had to do a box exchange, And that I don't need Spectrum cable to provide what I need. She then told me she can choose not to help me and that she was doing me the favor... I walked out, and we will be cancelling Spectrum Cable! There are other means through internet to get tv and shows, these Companies are obsolete and need to go out of business! read more

I've been with spectrum for about three months now. My problem is not being able to print anything. I really need a printer. I called customer service at least three times and I was just given the runaround. I was told to contact the printer manufacturer, which I did and they made sure the printer was setup correctly, but it's still not working. I keep getting a message air printer not found. I'm thinking it could be a internet router box problem, but they keep telling me it's not and I should try hard wiring using an ethernet cord. That's my next step. I have never had a problem with printing until I switched over to spectrum. If I can't get my printer to work, I have no choice but to cancel my account with spectrum and try internet with another company. To add, my printer is brand new but I can't use it. If this company could get zero stars it would! This review is based on the horrible management and customer service received. They go and charge $59 bucks for a pay per view event that was never ordered. They automatically charge it to the account and when called they say well it was charged from your television. Hmmm was someone actually sitting there in front of the TV video taping my father to prove he pushed the button 3 times to order this event? Yes when I say 3 times that means that it actually asks you about that many times to confirm you are ordering the event. The event was some basketball event and my father doesn't even watch basketball and was not even home the night you people said it was ordered but here you are charging old people in a retirement community false charges!! You even looked back on his account to see that in the 4 years of being there he has NEVER ordered a basketball event. Good job you slimy company! You only get away with this because your service is the only service offered in that area. I'm thinking the news channels need to hear about this one! read more

My bill has consistently gone up, little by little, and now they have eliminated two channels, but no price decrease. I guess this is the American way, charge more and give the client less and less. Their commercials are a load of BS and when you try to talk to someone about it all you get is the corporate speeches that they have all memorized. No one there can think on their own or have an intelligent answer. I would give them less then one star if I could. To bad there is no real competition for them besides dish tv. The employees at TWC are ignorant and useless. Not only did their internet service cost too much and frequently have outages, but when I canceled my internet (which they give you a hard time about by asking you over and over again why you can't keep the service) the address they had to return the equipment was wrong (location did not exist) and when they said they would pick up the equipment because I was not driving 20 miles to return their S*%T, TWICE they did not show. I once again called their hard to get a hold of customer service with representatives who barely speak English, it took a hour to reschedule a THIRD appointment. Then, they tell me there is a $39 trip charge that they "forgot" to tell me about. In addition, they had missed the first two appointments because they had my old address that I moved from, even though I gave them my new address when I scheduled the initial appointment. I will NEVER use their services again, and will spread their horrible customer service issues to everyone I know. read more

I'm back! Finally got a technician out who did some "wiring" work, great attitude, tried his best, but lo and behold, the problem is back. HBO and SHO time channels reflect the same show on numerous channels. Called for tech support, person on line said "never heard of such a problem". Seriously?? Switches are off? The 3rd party provider is messing up? And I am suppose to rate just the employee? TW somehow thinks the employee and the company are two different things. "Rate me, not the company." Yeah, I should have tried that at my customer service job. I am not giving an employee a good rating if technicians cannot figure out how to solve the problem without putting customers thru the ringer. On my way to change the box! A type of deceptive advertising or bate and switch. Signed up with Spectrum / Time Warner Spectrum 3 weeks ago. Part of the decision was based on the channel line up. We picked the silver package and it had basically all of the channels that we like to watch. Every think was okay for several weeks. Then two of my favorite channels disappeared. When I called to find out what happened I was told that these two channels were no longer part of the Silver package channel line up and I would have to pay $12 a month extra to receive them. This is just about outrageous since those channels are part of what I originally agreed to purchase and were part of the reason for choosing spectrum. Basically this amounts to bait and switch. This is a ploy to force customers into more expensive channel line ups. Essentially Spectrum Time Warner are con artists. I gave them notice that we will be discontinuing there service shortly if they failed to resolve this issue. The only offer they provided was to give me the two channels free for a month after which I would need to pay the extra $12 dollars a month to receive them. I told them that was good because it would give me more time to find another service provider. I will never use Spectrum / Time Warner again. I was some what reluctant to go with them since we have had poor and unsatisfactory service from them in the past when they were our provider over 15 years ago. Now I see nothing has changed except the name, they are still disreputable and care nothing about the customer. read more

Time warner cable is horrible, crappy customer service and their digital cable is un-watchable at times. right now all the cable is doing is pixelating with tons of compression problems. and most of the time, the internet isn't the speed of the bandwidth that you're paying for. But don't bother to complain to them about any of these things, cause they will either blame you for the problems, say that everything is working "just fine" or if it's about your internet speed they'll say to go to yahoo and ask how fast it loaded and say what are you complaining about? Yahoo has hella fast servers it'd load fast on a 100 kilobyte connection damnit, if i'm gonna pay for a 3.5 meg connection i want the full amount. not 1.5 or anywhere imbetween, so of course yahoo loads fast it loaded fast when i had freakin' dial up. idiot. But in short, don't get time warner cable unless you wanna be in a frustrated world of hurt. Get verizon or direct tv or dish or something, anything is better. read more

Time warner is terrible. I almost had service set up with this company, but they missed their installation appointment and called to ask when they would be arriving. I was told that they would not be coming and that the appointment was canceled because they tried to call me six times to confirm. First off, I made the appointment and told them I would be home on that specific day. Second, I checked my home phone which they claim to have called and there were not any calls from time warner or any messages left, you would think if they attempted to contact me six times they would have left a message. Third, I gave my cell phone number as a secondary number which I know for a fact they never called because I have it with me all day every day. I called and spoke to a supervisor who told me that there is nothing they can do to make up for the mistake and I asked if they could Contact the person who claimed to have called six times and apparently they don't keep that information on file. I called their crap and told them that if this is how they treat a prospective customer than I don't want to be a customer and canceled my installation appointment. The supervisor told me that he promises if I am a customer that nothing like this would ever happen again. How can one man promise no mistakes will ever happen again. Mistakes happen, but at least own up to it and do something to correct it instead of lying to people who know better and saying that there is nothing they can do to fix the problem. I will stick with Verizon even if time warner quoted less money per month. I will count the extra pay for their customer service. Thanks verizon. read more
