I filed formal complaints with California Public Utilities Commission and Verizon Customer Service. In short, I was supposed to only finance $200 and I ended up financing $1,610.00 because of the way Dimone finagled the account set-up. On Monday, 3/4/2024. I will send a demand letter to Verizon Legal Department to request remedies and cures for the unethical and fraudulent conduct of Wireless Plus, a Verizon Authorized Retailer, that caused personal injury to myself and my business line that was ported into Verizon as a new transfer account. I've already spent a little bit more than 5 hours trying to fix my account issues. On 2/28/24 from 3:30pm to 6:30pm, I was in a Loma Linda Verizon authorized retailer store to trade-in an old phone and start new business service. The representative, Dimone promised $1000.00 credit for an iPhone 15 Pro for new service and trading in my old phone. The wireless gateway was supposed to be free. I was promised a $70 bill and 2 days later I reviewed the bill to find no promotions were applied and my bill was $190.00. Dimone also added a protection plan that was not asked for. He also put the store's address as my billing address and entered a bogus contact number. On 3/1/2024, I visited a Sherman Oaks corporate location to get some clarity on my bill and to return the devices associated with my new account. I was told I need to handle the return at the Loma Linda authorized retailer store. I was also advised on the frequent complaints about unethical and fraudulent transactions at authorized retailer stores.

I have been with them since 1992 (A,T,&T, then Cingular, then A,T,&T) and have seen the service degrade. On February 7th I ordered a new iPhone Air via in-person shopping at this store. According to the data being displayed, it would be delivered via overnight by February 12th. On February 16th I called 611 to see where my phone was, as it still showed February 12th on the A,T,&T app. The (lack of) customer service rep. stated that it would ship via overnight but the 27th. The explanation was high demand and supply chain issues. On March 6th I called to cancel my order, and was told it was easier to do it on the app, and they would then send me a pre-paid label to send all of the accessories back. What a crappy way to do business. Before I got a chance to cancel the order, I received a text message stating my phone had shipped. Four weeks for something that was supposed to take no more than five days? Now for the good stuff. Since I was now working out of town, I wasn't able to go pick up my phone until today, March 14th. The young man who greeted me, Mark, was congenial and understanding. I told him I was livid with A,T,&T and was contemplating jumping ship to Verizon for my future phone needs (my wife is on Verizon). Mark was undeterred by my less than stellar attitude and began to set up my phone. Within 15 minutes Mark had everything setup and began the data transfer (took 3 hours at home due to the plethora of data and apps on my old phone), all while we engaged in conversation about everything, mostly life in general. The store clerk had an extra, recurring $10 added to my bill from a previous visit. I calmly asked…read moreabout this to a female clerk who lied and said there was nothing she could do. I told her I will pay my bill, including the extra $10, and I'll call customer service and come back later for a refund (which was later credited to my bill by boost. Thanks boost phone customer service). This sentence, without any malice implied, was taken as a threat. The clerk refused to let me pay my bill and went as far as to call the police. I actually waited for them to arrive just to see what would happen. She and the store manager banned me and anybody who came with me to the store. Including people that have never had a problem in the store. The clerk was racist because she said she feared for her colleagues safety if i came back demanding a refund, even though I never raised my voice or acted an any threatening manner. They also banned people who visited the store with me and told the store staff to call the police immediately if they saw either of us. If you can't deal with a customer asking for an unauthorized charge to be refunded without calling the police you shouldn't be in customer service.
