The first part of this review is for A,T,&T as a whole, the positive portion of the review is for the A,T,&T store in Beaumont ONLY, as the customer service for A,T,&T as a whole has fallen dramatically in recent years. I have been with them since 1992 (A,T,&T, then Cingular, then A,T,&T) and have seen the service degrade. On February 7th I ordered a new iPhone Air via in-person shopping at this store. According to the data being displayed, it would be delivered via overnight by February 12th. On February 16th I called 611 to see where my phone was, as it still showed February 12th on the A,T,&T app. The (lack of) customer service rep. stated that it would ship via overnight but the 27th. The explanation was high demand and supply chain issues. On March 6th I called to cancel my order, and was told it was easier to do it on the app, and they would then send me a pre-paid label to send all of the accessories back. What a crappy way to do business. Before I got a chance to cancel the order, I received a text message stating my phone had shipped. Four weeks for something that was supposed to take no more than five days? Now for the good stuff. Since I was now working out of town, I wasn't able to go pick up my phone until today, March 14th. The young man who greeted me, Mark, was congenial and understanding. I told him I was livid with A,T,&T and was contemplating jumping ship to Verizon for my future phone needs (my wife is on Verizon). Mark was undeterred by my less than stellar attitude and began to set up my phone. Within 15 minutes Mark had everything setup and began the data transfer (took 3 hours at home due to the plethora of data and apps on my old phone), all while we engaged in conversation about everything, mostly life in general. Mark is fast, knowledgeable, and an immense asset to the Beaumont A,T,&T store. Nice work, and thank you. read more

My family and I just walked in and was helped by such a kind and helpful person named David. He was able to help us replace my sister's lost phone that she dropped in the river this weekend, and also help us save by adding my nephew into our plan. I'm giving AT&T a 1 star because of a fraudulent experience at their store. An employee named Mark created three fake phone lines on our account, with two of those tied to Apple Watches that aren't even ours. This fraudulent activity seems like a scheme for Mark to boost his commissions by adding lines we didn't authorize and don't own. When we discovered this, we were shocked at the level of dishonesty and breach of trust. AT&T should investigate this store and take steps to prevent employees from taking advantage of customers in such a dishonest way. read more

If I could give no stars I would. I got my new phone last week from Wendy at Ontario Mills mall. The connection was so bad that we had to take our phones home and try to google how to transfer data from the cloud to our new phones. The manager in there promised us both a 700 trade in. He said we could drop off our phones at any At&T. So we get the new phones set up ourselves and go to trade in our phones at the local place with a guy named Christian. Christian did something to my phone which was in mint condition and he only wanted to give me 350 for it. I said ummmok? and I was waiting for my husband who is handicapped to hurry up get in there so I could ask him why the kid was doing that? Christian hit send on his computer and then when I told him No thats not ok I want to take the phones back to ontario he told me Maam "If you put that phone back in your purse, thats stealing and I will call the police". He threatened me over and over and I got on the phone with ontario, they said he absolutely COULD reverse that trade in. He was lying.. I ended up having to call the police and they didnt want to come. So I had to leave my phone there and they walked all over me talked to like a dog nd threated me. Right in front of my poor helpless Senior citizen husband. I will pay of my phones and never do business with At&T again. When I tried to call customer service about it, they just gave me an email address to putt he complaint in to.. nothing will be done about it. If you see these two kids in At&T run from them. They dont know any respect and abuse people. read more

Kaitlyn royally screwed my husbands phone and service up - a month later and we are still completely screwed and needing to go in or make another phone call to HOPEFULLY finally fix the issue. When I went in the next day to speak to her all she could say is "you're good you're good you're good." Actually, the situation is the opposite of good. Listen to the bad reviews and go elsewhere. Best to avoid this store. The store employee set up my cell phone plan as a personal account instead of a business account. So, I returned to the store to cancel the account and was told by the employee, Christian that the manager is on lunch and he can't cancel the account. While inside the store talking to customer service I was told and yelled at to leave the store. We were the only two people inside the store and I was trying to resolve the issue. Neither customer service and the store will accept the cell phone even though it was within 14 days. I still have the cell phone and will cancel my business account as well. So, I'm going back to T-Mobile. read more

We came into the store to be able to transfer our phones over and Michael was very helpful and patient with us through our process. He was able to help me elderly parents transfer all of their data and sign into their iCloud. He was very knowledgeable and the definition of "techy". We loved his personality and customer service. He was well trained and you can tell his customer service skills were authentic (not fake nice). You cannot train someone soft skills and Michael definitely has that. He deserves a raise!!! Erick and Jason helped me today and recently, too, with two iPads. I bought a new iPad Pro from Apple, and so I needed to cancel the data plans for the two older iPads that I had also purchased from Apple. Long story short: It was impossible to cancel the data plans on the old iPads by going online or by calling AT&T's national telephone prepaid or postpaid numbers. I was getting billed each month for the data, and so I was very frustrated. So eventually I reached a national AT&T supervisor on the telephone who told me to go to the local AT&T store. Erick and Jason to the rescue at the local store! They went above and beyond to help me, and I will never forget their calm, courteous, reassuring, and patient approach. They called AT&T, got new PINs, and sought a solution. Now I have my new iPad and I got a confirmation email today that my old plan was canceled as I had requested. I am very happy now. I will definitely shop at this AT&T store for all of my cell phones, tablets, plans, and accessories from now on. Great service is appreciated! read more

Tried to get an upgrade today. Dude who greeted me couldn't even get out of his chair. Felt really unprofessional as he just sat there on his stool l leaning up against the counter. Ask for a passport since I didn't have my D/L and I gave it to him and said he didn't know how to scan it because there's nothing to scan. (Barcode is on the last page my guy). Dude didn't even try. Added a new phone back in Oct 2022. Specifically told the guy who was helping me; no insurance and nothing of the sort, I'm just adding the new line. Come to find out on the next billing that he added tier 4(insurance) and NextUp charges onto my account. Called ATT and they said it can't be reimbursed. January 6, 2021 my husband Jerry and I entered the new AT&T Store on East 2nd Street in Beaumont, CA. We needed to upgrade our iPhone 8 to iPhone 11 and really were not looking forward to the experience. Because of Covid we had to wait for about 20 minutes as they were working two people in the store at a time, we appreciated the fact they were looking out for the customers well being. That was the first thing we appreciated. The experience only got better! Jorge greeted us very warmly and asked how he could help us. We told him and he immediately looked up our account and the rest was the best experience we have had dealing with a telephone company since getting cell phones. Our last experience was at the Redlands Store and we came away after about three hours and spending hundreds of dollars more than we could afford! (its all in how they word what you need/get in the package)! That was not the case in our new Beaumont Store! Jorge looked at our account, saw we were eligible for the up grade and proceeded to take care of us. Richard came on duty at 10:30 and went about helping the other customers as they arrived, always polite and soft spoken. No pushing or coursing to purchase anything we didn't want and certainly didn't need! Jorge was very knowledge of his business, presented it in a very pleasant manner and efficiently. We left with exactly what we went in for and what we need, plus we feel we made friends with both Jorge and Richard! Would not answer a couple quick questions- once he found out I was not purchasing a phone and going to apple.com, he put me on hold for over an hour- when I called back he still wouldn't- said customers in the store come first no matter how long you are hold! We recently went to our closest AT&T store on 2nd Street in Beaumont to purchase 2 iPhone 14's. We had to order because of lack of inventory. Later in day got an order confirmation and noticed it was incorrect - one phone was 256gb and one phone was 128gb rather than both being the same. Made three trips back to store to try and rectify and got three different stories with the bottom line from an employee, who was very belligerent with me, and backed up by the manager, that this was entirely "my fault " because I paid the sales tax at the time of purchase which meant that I approved the order, which I never saw what they were ordering, and I would have to wait until phones come in and then exchange one (and pay a $55 restocking fee even though t was not my mistake). I was very upset and said things I shouldn't have, which I tried to apologize for but the manager was never available when I called back over three days. I think this bad treatment of someone who has been an AT&T customer for the last 55 years, since 1967, is a terrible way to treat loyalty. It's unfortunate that store owner doesn't know what's going on in his store. Also, in reading several reviews elsewhere about retribution from certain employees in this store, we went to the Yucaipa store to activate and transfer data, pay off phones, etc and got excellent service from Kyle. read more

We went to the AT&T in Beaumont to replace a phone and add a line on 3/18/21. Kyle was the person who helped us. Immediately he approached us upon arrival (no wait) and was very friendly and helpful. He was very knowledgeable about the products/services and answered all of our questions. He was honest with his feedback (which is rare for sales) and even stayed past his shift to accommodate us. Went in to order a new phone to surprise my dad for Father's Day. I had been told prior at another store I could order it and activate it after I gave it to him. However I went to this store and was told by Jonathan that was not the case and I could not leave the store without activating. I was confused cause why was I told one thing and then another. Then Jonathan was telling me I couldn't buy protection plan once I left the store and I said yes I could through Apple. He said I couldn't. He was wrong cause on the phone it says I have 60 days left to buy through Apple. He then asked if he did something to offend me because I was being Condescending to him. I was shocked he even said that. I was a confused customer who was voicing my concerns and sure questioning things because I had just done this prior and it was a different experience but I wasn't rude. He then proceeded to only speak to my mom and not me. I have authorization on the account to make changes and he said only the account holder can. When I paid for the phone he never asked for my ID but asked for my moms. When we went to leave he said have a nice day to my mom by name but again never gave me the time of day. I have seen other reviews about this same person on here. I think Jonathan either needs to be retrained for customer service or find a job where he doesn't deal with people. Won't be going back to this store ever again to be treated like that. Also he never acknowledged another woman who walked in and then left. Then another associate came walking in slowly without a care in the world it seemed. I don't know how that store runs but it's not great. read more

Went in with my dad who is on my family plan to get him a new phone because AT&T is phasing out 3G. We were greeted by an employee and my dad explained he was just looking for a simple phone to replace his current flip phone. Nothing fancy, no smart phone, or anything that uses data. The employee started explaining that we'd probably end up with something more and that a plan upgrade would likely be required. He asked for our account information and my ID and I provided him with my Passport card. He fumbled around for a minute and then asked if I could give him a "real" ID instead of what I had handed him. I explained that I had given him a Passport card and it was a official ID but he said he needed something else. After handing him my driver's license he looked up after taking it and asked "have I done something to offend you?" then explained that he felt I was being hostile toward him. I explained that I was frustrated with his sales pitch about upgrades being likely and his attitude regarding the IDs. He then said he didn't feel he could assist us and asked us to leave the store. I told him I'd like to complete the transaction and get the replacement phone for my dad and he said he wished we could start over but didn't believe we could move forward. I started to leave and asked his name but he refused to give it. He said if I wanted to complain AT&T could check the transaction logs. My dad and I then went to the Hemet store where the staff was friendly and assisted us in replacing the phone without any additional grief or fees. I will never visit this store again and this employee needs some training in how to provide good customer service. I recommend heading to the Hemet store instead of going here. read more
