Aliyah, Mia and Edith all assisted me. I was clueless on what to do to trade in my Xbox for the new one I purchased. All three ladies were patient, kind and spent time explaining this to me. I will say that the lady standing in the front of the store should take lessons from the manager/Supervsior who also stood in front of the store. He was welcoming and ready to greet me but she just stood there and looked at me without saying hello. I hen I asked her if she could direct me on how/where to get in line, she just pointed over to an area but seemed confused about it. Next time, I hope she asks for help so customers aren't waiting in the wrong line or waiting not knowing they needed to put their name on a list. All in all, most of the staff were very kind and ready to help. I am submitting this complaint regarding my experience during the recent Pokémon release at your Best Buy store. My group and I camped outside overnight to purchase Pokémon products because these releases have very limited inventory. When employees came outside to distribute vouchers, employee June informed us that vouchers would first be handed out to everyone in line and then she would come back around so customers could purchase additional items if inventory remained. Based on that information, we chose booster bundles first because we were never informed that there were only five EX boxes available or that there was a limit of one item per SKU. There were no signs posted explaining any purchase limits, and no employee verbally communicated those restrictions before customers had to make their selections. Had we been given that information beforehand, we would have made different purchasing decisions. When I respectfully asked the supervisor, Chris, where the posted sign or written policy was that limited customers to one item per SKU, he repeatedly responded by saying, "It's the policy," but did not answer my question or identify where that policy had been communicated to customers. Instead, he was dismissive, ignored my concerns, and walked away while I was still speaking. As someone who has attended multiple Pokémon releases at different Best Buy locations, this has not been my experience. If a store chooses to impose a one-per-SKU limit, customers should be informed before making their selections, either through clearly posted signage or a verbal explanation. Asking customers to choose products without disclosing important purchasing restrictions creates confusion and prevents customers from making informed decisions. I have video documentation of my interaction with Chris showing me asking where the purchase-limit policy was posted and his dismissive response. I am willing to provide this video if requested. I respectfully ask that Best Buy review how this release was handled, ensure that purchasing limits are clearly communicated before vouchers are distributed, and address the unprofessional manner in which my concerns were handled. I am beyond disappointed with Best Buy and the way I was treated as a long-time customer. I recently purchased an item that turned out to be incompatible with my laptop. When I went to return it, I was told I was outside the 15-day return window and that there was absolutely nothing they could do. I was then informed that if I were an annual paying member, I would have had 60 days instead of 15 -- essentially being penalized for not paying a membership fee. I have spent thousands of dollars at Best Buy over the years and have never returned an item until now. That loyalty apparently means nothing. The store flat-out turned me away. When I called customer service hoping for a reasonable solution, the representative repeated "it's policy" and refused to help. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was told all managers were in a meeting at 4:50pm PST -- which felt like a convenient excuse to avoid escalation. I was then told there was nothing else she would do for me. No effort was made to retain a loyal customer, no exception was considered, and no empathy was shown. This experience made it very clear that Best Buy values membership fees over customer relationships. I will never shop at Best Buy again, and I will be sharing this experience with others so they know exactly what to expect. read more

Best experience ever at Best Buy! Walked in and the greeter asked what we were looking for. Told him we are here for a dishwasher. Before we even got to the area, a salesperson was greeting us and walking us over to the dishwashers. We had already researched which one we wanted but looked at others just in case. Ordered our dishwasher, set up the installation and pickup and were on our way home in no time. Got a great deal too! Just WOW!! Also, as we wondered around after the sale, about every 10 feet a different person asked if we needed help. Omar helped us look at smart watches - we did not purchase but will be back. We bought a pool heater from best buy.com and it arrived damaged damaged from FedEx because they carelessly dropped it harshly on our door on the side that said not to place it on that side. It's a $1k product. The Best Buy app said it could bring it back to any store and provided a barcode. It's from a marketplace seller but the app didn't say about any change of procedure because of that. The store in Beaumont CA (the "manager" refused to take it back because it's from a third party seller and said it was too big. Disregarded everything the app said. Don't know what his name was but I believe this gentleman had hazel eyes, working geek squad area. Once he noticed I was waiting this person took me immediately, which I appreciated. On Monday March 30, at 9:50 a.m. the store not yet open the exit side of store front was open to bring out carts an elderly lady with a cane was starting to the exit door. A young female employee ignored her and let get all the way to the exit door and completely ignored her. The employee did not have the courtesy to tell anything until she was already to enter the exit door than rudely stated we are not open yet and shut the exit door in her face. Stated we open at 10:00 it was 9:56. then walked away leaving the handicaped customer standing at the door. A couple of minutes later she opened the entrance side of the store. She did not acknowledge the lady as she took a sit at the sore entrance. The young woman was not good and welcoming her to the store, just sat there and offered not assistance to the customer. Clear clearly it was important enough that they had because of the urgency of the documents that we needed to print. We were lucky to find one that was actually put back in the wrong place. My son and I went in to have his tablet repaired. Unfortunately it was going to be the same price or close to it to just buy a new one. (Thank you to Edith for sharing that info before we wasted money on a 4 year old tablet.) We ended up going to check out the Amazon Tablets and were comparing prices. Paul came over to assist us and was so genuine and exceeded our service expectations. He answered my 10 year old son's questions and even gave him solid advice for the tablet to pick. When we went to check out I asked if they had any coupons. He looked up our account and he was able to combine all of our coupons on our account and shared that some were about to expire so good thing we came in today. Our total (including tax) went from $154.84 to $79.41 saving us over $75!!! (We do have the Total Membership from a computer we bought last year.) Paul said he tries to explain to customers how it really pays off to partake in their membership plans and to come in instead of buying online. Paul turned me into a believer! We will be back. Before entering the store, I noticed signage on the front doors regarding mask wearing. Upon entering the store, I noticed clear location markers so I was quickly able to locate the headphones I was looking for. While browsing the headphones section, I appreciated being able to browse a wide selection of items with a variety of price ranges without feeling like employees were hovering. While hubby and I were discussing which item to choose, we were approached by an employee. After engaging in brief conversation, we made our choice and the employee quickly rung up our items. The employee was friendly, engaging and made our shopping experience a pleasure. As we exited the store, were told to have a good day by an employee. If you have to return a TV you must go to the Geek squad counter. I waited 25 minutes to return a defective TV that was an open box purchase. Once the TV was "accepted" the employee asked me to go to another line to complete my purchases. Bad customer service and representation of the products for sale. I went in to look at iPads. Saw an iPad mini advertised for a price I liked. Asked an employee about it, he quoted me about $200 more than advertised. When I asked why there was a lower price on the sign on the shelf, he told me "oh, that's an older model, we don't carry that anymore" so then why is the sign for it still there?? Fine. I asked about the current gen iPad. He said they had some in stock, and went to go look for it. More than 20 minutes passed and he never came back. I decided to leave, and found him standing by the entrance. He tells me that he's been looking for it but couldn't find it. So why didn't anyone come tell me that? I was greeted at the entrance, and ask for help in the car audio section. I was told the day after xmas that they only had 3 people on the floor to help. After waiting for about an hour. I went back the front and the manager told someone standing infant to help me. That geek squad person asked 2 more people to observe. I purchased a high ticket TV which was supposed to be delivered today. NO TV has arrived. I called Best Buy to confirm the item will be delivered as promised, but was told they cannot help me because their delivery service is through a 3rd party company, Ontrac. I tried calling the delivery company, but get error messages. BTW, I read the review of the delivery company and they're REALLY BAD! On Yelp, ALL the reviews have a 1 rating. According to the reviews, the company doesn't deliver, thought say they did, and they steal items. I told Best Buy about this, but there was no concern. I even tried cancelling the order, but was told by their customer service agent, who is in the PHILIPPINES, that it cannot be cancelled right now. I'm SOOOO pissed! If you can purchase from another company, do it. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM BEST BUY. Their customer care is less than 0, and their delivery company is run by thieves. read more

Terrible customer service! I tried calling the store on Friday 6/11/21 and was transferred to a remote customer service rep. I explained I needed to make a purchase over the phone and arrange to have someone pick up the purchase at the store. I was told this would not be a problem. But it was a problem. When my client showed up to the store they would not release the computer to him. I asked 4 times on Friday if the customer service rep was sure I could have my client pick up the product in store and he reassured me It would not be an issue. I provided his name, number and email address. When my client arrived they said their was a "hold" on the product? However, the credit card transaction had cleared. No one could explain what the "hold" was just that they could not release it. Instead they had me cancel out the order and resubmit payment a 2nd time via their online portal. Then when I click on the receipt link I get an error message saying to contact the store rep. Again, when you call the store you are connected wirh a remote person who is not in the store. I was in the middle of explaining the issue to the rep when he just paused the call and put me back on hold where I was printed to start the entire process all over again of waiting and entering the reason for my call! When I spoke with a rep again I had to provide the store zip code I purchased the product from and she proceeded to transfer me to a manager in the actual store branch. Such a huge waste of time! Would have been great to have just been able to calm the branch directly the first time. read more
