I failed to consult YELP prior to making an informed decision about managing my communication needs. I had currently been paying my roommate $80 to split the cost of communications. I had a govt phone (free and old) and a new Samsung already. When I heard an ad for $50, and knew it is often cheaper to "add a line" it seemed $160 was a bit.... exorbitant. I walk in and sign in . I was second. Each associate had a customer. They service the person before me within 5 mins. She was dropping off equipment. Shannon was assisting her. She didnt have all her equipment, while that happen the store became packed with people . There was 6 people after me. Other people came in shannon called me over. Didnt acknowledge me at all. I waited for 10 mins than walk over and said I was here before them . All I'm trying to do is return equipment. She was rude and stated they were there before. I know shannon gets paid off of selling phones but her customer service is awful. That is exactly why I left spectrum they have the worse customer service ever. Dont go here. im moving out of state and called spectrum to cancel my service. this salesman kept asking why don't I want to keep my service I explain I was moving some where that already had a connection and I didn't have to pay for it and this asshole kept going on and on and on about orher services that I could careless about. i kept telling him I just want cancel and he kept harassing me to try to sign up with other bullshit products that I didn't want. i simply wanted to cancel and they just don't take no for an answer until I asked to speak to a manager n he still kept going. I'm really upset with the service I got today at the Spectrum office and on the phone. I had to call them 6 times to try and get my TV working and my poor husband was going back and forth with different cable boxes. Nobody seemed to know what they were doing. Then the representative said they would send a technician out two days from now. But because I was having so much trouble a technician would call and set up an earlier appointment with me within the next 30 minutes. It's 8:50pm and I'm still waiting. I have always been happy with this service but after today I'm thinking of going with someone else that knows what there doing. So frustrated. read more

DON'T BOTHER MAKING AN APPOINTMENT. IT WONT BE HONORED ANYWAY. I had a simple equipment pick up scheduled an appointment and waited for 30 minutes. I have no choice the area where I am moving only has spectrum, they know this thus the crappy service. They only had two reps working and multiple people waiting. That seems to make aot of sense to me...NOT. I had AT and T where I used to live and they were fabulous. I've called them but they did not service my area. They took the address down and said they will look into providing service to the community. It all started when I called in 1/3/23 for a extension on my internet bill. I called the spectrum customer service number and got connected to Micheal Clark a sales representative. He had sold me a free line for a year and I would get 2 lines for 29.99 a month plus the cost of the iPhone 14 he sold me. He kept talking fast giving me all these different numbers blah blah blah. I told him look your confusing me with all these different numbers just tell me what a one Time service fee and tax is gonna be & how much I'm going to be paying on these 3 phones a month So he said it would be 154.60 was the one time service fee plus Tax then I was charged 161.54. Whatever let me tell you from the moment they shipped the iphone out it has been a nightmare. From the fed ex delivery to them selling me a bunk iPhone 14. The ESIM would not read properly and I had to return it. I have called everyday since the 3rd and one day I spent 5 hours on the phone. Their customer service reps n technicians kept hanging up on me and not calling back. They were all telling me different things, and not to mention after the fifth day of not having any of my phones, it took 3 hours to finally switch my moms phone from AT&T to spectrum. Finally, I had it with them and was like just cancel the service and refund me my money back. So then they emailed me a return label and I printed it out and sent it back. Well they said until the phone was returned n inspected I would not be able to get a refund. The phone was finally returned on 1/16 and Michael told me okay let them inspect the phone and on the 20th u will be refunded your money back. Well it's the 21st and I called the billing department and they said the phone wasn't even received. when I got a confirmation email saying it was received. They even managed to mess up the return label and had a complete different tracking number. So now after almost a month with out having a phone they are telling me that its might take up to another 15 to 30 days to see that money back in my account. because I ported my my moms phone over and my number that I'm going to have to pay. These guys by far are scandalous crooks. Oh and after talking to 40 different customer reps I got an email from chase saying there was fraudulent activity on my account. So I had to cancel my debit card. I would never recommend this service to anyone. I even went into the store and it was completely empty and they turned me away saying that AT&T had to unlock the phones when it was already unlocked. By far the worst customer service ever. Save yourself the headache and time and pay for another carrier. Trust me it is not worth it. read more

One of the worst companies I have ever had the disgust of paying a subscription for, absolutely awful customer service, they charge you for services you do not use, once those services are paid for they terminate your service so that you cannot use their services even if you have paid for them. Example. I sold My house, called to cancel service and they told me that even though I had sold the house on the 27th that I would still have to pay for services until the 20th of the following month, they could not pro rate or offer any discounts even though I was a loyal customer for 4 years and even though the service would not be used after the 27th I still had to pay for the subscription I was not using, TV, internet and cable..!!! To the tune of $259.00 dollars I was given no choice but to pay it or they would extort my credit report..!!! So then I thought we'll I paid for spectrum for the rest of the month might as well use the Spectrum app until the 20th think again they disconnected my service the moment I called them and even though I paid for service through the 20th I was denied access to the spectrum app until the 20th..!!!22, my subscription was terminated effectively the 27th of the month prior..!!! What a scam..!!!! Awful awful service I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy, so do yourself a favor and stay away from this company..!!! What a joke!!!! I have had Spectrum as my business carrier for the last four years. Phone service and WiFi goes up and down all the time. Needed to upgrade my Wi-Fi so they switched me over to national spectrum and my phone system was down for a week. I had no idea that they were switching me to a different company there at Spectrum. Now come to find out the Wi-Fi they set up is insufficient equipment and the local spectrum people cannot do anything about it. They can't even change out equipment I have to deal with national now. I don't know how I got switched over to national but that's where I'm at and to and switch it now will cost me to suspend my phone service for four days and my phone number floats around and we have to wait and retrieve it. Service goes down too much. This company is unreliable and cannot be trusted to work consistently. In 2018 I had a problem with my phone answering machine not notifying me of messages until too late. In December of 2018 I received a message from a friend, inviting me to a Christmas meal, but Spectrum did not notify me of this message until February of the next year! These late notifications have happened several times. But the biggest problem I have had with this company is it's unreliability. Services goes down too much. Today I called to update my bank card number, but the automated system said there was a problem, but didn't give any explanation or reason for the problem. Also, this company has too tight of security. You cannot do anything with them without your four digit password, but I don't have it. I've requested it to be sent via mail, but they never did. I never receive paper mail from this company. I just spoke with a phone agent, and she said she would transfer me to a supervisor, but instead transferred me to the automated system, so I went in a circle. The woman transferred me to the wrong department! This is unbelievable incompetence! This company needs to do better! So I finally managed to speak with a supervisor, and during the conversation the automated system came on, saying that no survey would be conducted. Why was I transferred to the automated system when in the middle of a conversation with a supervisor? I just spoke with my bank and they said that Spectrum incorrectly gave the wrong expiration date from my card, even though I correctly supplied it with my finger twice! The Spectrum automated system incorrectly received my input, and this is thoroughly incompetent and totally unacceptable. I'm just a guy who wanted to pay my bill today on the phone, but this company made it absolutely impossible. read more

I made the mistake of switching my phone, internet, and TV service from Frontier to Spectrum about 6 weeks ago... What a HUGE mistake! Yes, our HOA gets us a big discount in our Solera community for using Spectrum. But the service is absolutely TERRIBLE! Constant outages - basically ever single day! My phone has been out about 6-8 times in the past 6 weeks, and that is the best of the services! My internet has gone out about a dozen times in the past 6 weeks. And my TV/cable? Well let me put it this way. At least 3-4 times a day I get error an error message when I try to switch to a major network station (like CBS, NBC, ABC or Fox). The message usually says that "the station is not available" and to call the Spectrum service number. If I called every time I got that message, I would be on the phone with then EVERY DAY! Today my major network stations have been out for the last 2+ hours! The only thing new about this is the length of the outage! Usually the stations come back in 2 minutes or 10 minutes. But not today! Maybe with this hours long outage they might actually fix the problem... Probably NOT. I guess you get what you pay for. Spectrum cable, phone, and internet is the WORST! read more

Every time i come in the store I'm waiting for almost an hour just to pay a bill the representative said every Saturday they have a rush from 11am until close 1pm and they are still short staffed during these periods! Our sound goes off all the time. Or a funny noise starts happening all the time. Horrible service. Have had a tech out here 3 times. Have changed the box 3 times, still having same problem. Hardly ever can watch one program all the way through without a problem. This is getting so so old. I would let anyone, that wants this cable company to be ready, for problems without anyone ever solving the problems. Also all the time the people mouths and voices don't match. My last bill at Spectrum went up by ten dollars for the second time in two months. They raised their internet speed from 100 to 200, they bragged that this was at " no charge " to customers. But on my very next bill there was a ten dollar raise on the net bill. What a shock huh, they said it was a coincidence . So my current bill was from 10/31 to 11/30 I cancelled on the 8th but have to pay for whole month because they are now a " Subscription" service. I won't even give them a star rating. My internet is intermittent or just goes out completely. When I called customer service, and that's a joke itself, they told me if I had their router instead they could fix the problem. So there is a problem and it can be fixed, but only if I rent their equipment at a higher cost per month. After having spectrum service in Rancho Cucamonga we experienced terrific service. Some minor service calls about changing dvr box to another location in our apt it was done very quickly and properly. We recentley moved to Highland Springs area and stopped to schedule service at that location,and make an appointment for service. What a difference these people just do not care if you come or go. Service request were met with answer 2-3 days to a week for start up service. I hope the techs have a more friendly attitude than the office. read more

They are the worst cable provider ever. My bill kept going up for the exact same service. I finally had enough and was told that if I picked a different pkg with less channels it would reduce my bill by $27. However when I got my bill this month with half the service, the bill was MORE than I had been paying. When I called customer service I was told they had FORGOT to tell me my internet service promotion was over, and my rate increased by $30. They are dishonest, lying thieves. This company has the WORST customer service!!! They have hidden fees despite their advertisements and when you ask about it they are rude. Scott (billing supervisor) has made it very clear that there are $30 of hidden fees and "taxes". Also they bill a month prior to services being rendered. I switch from Verizon, DO NOT SWITCH TO SPECTRUM IF RELIABLE CELL PHONE SERVICE IS REQUIRED. In multiple cities with my new iPhone 12 I also purchased from Spectrum, the service is horrible. I am in the SFO East Bay of Dublin CA. and almost no service and half the calls that go through are dropped. I was in Vail CO this week and the same service problem and I met someone in the hotel with Spectrum who had the same poor service. On top of this the customer service in regarding to bill are rude and should not be in the customer service business.
