Why on earth would anyone use Spectrum? I came in to just to turn in a payment for my uncle. That's all I needed, was to hand them a check. They made me log into a system and wait for a representative. There are 30 people waiting and I can't even hand them a check. I'll be here for hours! My uncle won't mail it because he says they take days to process it and then they charge him a late fee. Why would anyone go through this?!? It's ridiculous. I have been with cable since I first moved to Mo Val. In the beginning it was Adelphia, went to Cablevision, then another name & now Spectrum. Before they took over they advertised reasonable rates, better service & great packages. What a crock, my cable bill went from 124.10 a month to 217 a month. I ended up stopping cable, kept internet and now only stream i am still paying 136.00 a month and it keeps going up. Sadly, I was told a lie. I was told that I could have unlimited plus for $10 for 1 week. I have come back from that week and canceled that service only to find out that I'm actually being charged close to $50 for the entire month and the plan never even worked for its purpose anyway! The last 8 weeks Spectrum has been throttling our internet bandwidth, and my TV smears, or glitches; and after I log in the speed is 300+ mbps yet, within an hour my speed is down to as low as 2 mbps or, typically 7 mbps. When their commercials come on telling me what great speed they're promising, I just fume. Having Spectrum as your internet provider is worse than going back to dial-up. Too bad it's part of my HOA cost. I will bring it up at next HOA meeting. Quit throttling our speed, or lose your account! I have work to do and I cannot wait for web pages to load. Very unpredictable service. Freezing constantly and shows channel not available mostly on channel 2 or 9 and occasionally on other channels as well. At least two to three times a month and they will not give a credit for any down time. Rip off for sure. read more

Late in December 2022, my wife's father fell and went undiscovered for several days. He was hospitalized, and my wife cared for him in January, February, and March. When it became clear that he was dying, my wife canceled all of his services, including Spectrum. Her father died at the beginning of April. We recently received a Spectrum bill for her father for $324. My wife called Spectrum a couple of days ago to dispute this invoice. She made it clear that her father was dead, the service was never used, and she had, in fact, canceled it quite some time ago. Spectrum forced her to pay the bill, explaining that Spectrum has an utterly inflexible billing cycle/process. This company is greedy and heartless! read more

" Tyrone From Spectrum Video Was Awesome " I contacted Spectrum Video Department because I was having some weird problems with my TV cable internet. Suddenly I had 15 different channels on my TV internet that where their with perfect video, but their was no sound on those channels. But the sound on the rest of all the channels on my TV were perfect. Also channel 44, which is the L.A. Angeles channel, and channel 53, the L.A. Dodgers channel which I watch a lot, but suddenly the video of the games was perfect, but the game sound and advertisements were totally being done in Spanish. It really freaked me out, it was really where'd. Also on a couple of channels, what ever show I was watching was perfectly OK in English, but when they went to a commercial it was also in Spanish. And then it went back to English again. There were some weird things happening. I made a call to Spectrum, and within 5 minutes Tyrone from the Spectrum Video Department started helping me. Tyrone had a great personality, and took his time leading me through several sections of the Spectrum remote control to make changes, upgrades, and re-set many different areas of the online TV internet cable program. After about 20 minutes of listening and following Tyrone's very smart instructions, my TV restarted again and went back to it's original very good and perfect working order. HOLY SMOKES! The inconsistency of spectrums service is CONSISTENT! I do not think I have had one month of internet without the service going down. Maybe even a week! Horrible customer service. We tried to cancel our account for months and I talked to multiple people regarding why my account continued to get charged. 3 people told me my account had been closed and each time I called to speak to a new person, they stated my account wasn't closed. Then they charged me for equipment that was lost after it was returned through ups. I asked to file a claim for missing equipment and they informed me they would not put any collection for costs under my credit and to follow up in a week or two. Then the same day, they call and tell me they are putting a collection out if I don't pay the $400 for the missing equipment. I have a great credit score and cannot risk messing it all up over $400 but think it is pretty shitty to have to pay for equipment I returned and don't have. read more

Spectrum lied to me about the free iPad service the government is providing for low income homes. They said on a recorded call that I would pay $20 to start the service and $20 for the iPad each month, but now they're saying I owe $80 in taxes before I can start the program. This company is making the low income government assistance recipients pay for the taxes and ipad that the government gave them to give to us. Thus, pocketing illegal funds by charging for a free government program. Spectrum also keeps increasing my internet servics each month because they are a monopoly in the rural area I live in. I have to keep calling each month and fighting for my bill to be lower. When I first started, my bill was $5, then it went to $20, then $40, now it's $80. read more

The Spectrum store in Banning gave us excellent customer service. Especially due to Isaac (i think he spells it with one "a") he was friendly and kind when my friend needed phone service as her ihone could not call, nor text to anyone. Her son who lives out of town told her to go to the store and replace the battery. Isac said it could have been an update problem when the phone updated but he fixed her phone and even showed her how to delete all her voice messages (she had many). Raoul has been respectfully repeating the information and his concern for this customer over and over. The manager reached out "corporate" and somehow came up with a compromise that sent the unhappy man away. Then he left without showing,us how,to use it. 9 phone calls and three hours later, now they say I owe them 305.00 and money for unreturned equipment. I'm never the one to write a bad review, but after the day I had yesterday dealing with spectrum as a whole was ridiculous. The store locations don't actually communicate with the customer service center that makes appointments and they will send you to a temporarily closed location with a appointment time and everything. The Banning location in particular is run by the rudest 23 year employee that has to give attitude to even her regular customers. Shanon is her name and she will tell you she is unable to do things in store that customer service will tell you she is suppose to be capable of. Hopefully she retires and they get someone fresh with a positive attitude who does not voice their terrible opinions of spectrum to paying customers. Good luck when visiting this location. read more
