Dr Duong is one of the kindest doctors I have ever come across. She took time to explain each test, what to expect, and was extremely affable. She conducted each test with the utmost professionalism. At the conclusion of the exam, she explained the results in an easy to understand way. The selection of glasses at Specs is excellent. You will have plenty of different types of brands, price points, and styles to chose from. The location is extremely polished and is in an upscale shopping center- so bring someone to the exam and you can eat at one of the local shops after! Overall, I can soundly say- I don't think I have EVER had a more pleasant experience at an eye exam location in my life. Bear in mind, I have lived in LA and NYC and have had exams in those cities and neither compared to the hospitable and nurturing care provided by Spec's. Called ahead to see if I can walk in for an eye exam. Got an appointment at 2pm Front desk was extremely helpful and patient when I asked him a million questions and then a million more questions to clarify lol. The doctor was informative, I used to be a salesmen so a second nature of mine when I'm the customer is to identify and analyze the "up sale." But far as I'm concerned when it comes to thing like glasses and this establishment things are pretty lax and they make sure it's a recommendation and don't use any weird stats as a scare tactic. Front desk- great customer service, patient and informative Doctor - answers most questions before you even ask by explaining her decisions step by step. Time- Registration (new client) 15 minutes Exam: average time Glasses/contacts: they don't pull off a hard sale or any sale for that matter. Just kinda let's you browse and pick something. Read in a previous comment they weren't very helpful in picking out glasses. Far as my personal experience goes most places don't really have much input besides "pick w.e you're most comfortable with" haha. Waiting for glasses to come in now, ordered past Friday June, 30th. If glasses come today if be extremely happy, but being a holiday week they informed me Wednesday would be a safe bet. read more

Pros: Great customer service, easy eye exam, variety of glasses, hip atmosphere, extremely friendly to military! Cons: Absolutely none. I am in the military stationed in Germany and was back home for a wedding. I visited SPECS Vision Care with my wife on a Saturday afternoon at around 1pm in need of glasses. I was greeted by Edward who immediately showed me a great deal of hospitality. I was introduced to Dr. Duong and she was able to give my wife and I an eye exam as we did not have our prescriptions. She was extremely friendly and accommodating. More importantly, she was able to do the eye puff thing in one try! Normally it takes the military optometry tech multiple times (very frustrating), but she was a pro! After the exam was complete, Edward proceeded to show me a variety of glasses. He educated me on all the different types of glasses and lenses. He was not pushy at all and answered my dumb questions. He introduced me to transition lenses. It tints the lenses when exposed to UV light. It was exactly what I needed when I didn't want to wear contacts. I finally chose a pair of black Banana Republic glasses that had a slick silver design above the ear. It was a huge upgrade from the BCGs (Birth Control Glasses) that I was issued from the military. My wife also bought a pair of Ray Bans that had a black and dark brown leopard pattern. The best part of my visit was that she was extremely appreciative that I was in the military. She didn't have to, nor did I ask, but she gave me an awesome deal for the glasses that my wife and I bought. I left SPECS much happier than I came in the store! On a side note, I also really enjoyed the chill music that was playing in the background. It really enhanced the experience while I was there. Overall, I definitely recommend SPECS Vision Care to everyone. Dr. Duong and Edward are an awesome team and are the friendliest people I have ever met! read more

My daughter referred me and my husband to Specs. We couldn't be happier that she did so. Our experience was awesome! The office was decorated beautifully. We felt very comfortable. Dr. Duong is a fabulous doctor. She explained everything thoroughly and has a great personality. She took her time with each of us and gave us plenty of options. Next was the fun part with Edward, aka Office Manager. He's such an asset to Dr. Duong's team. He has a great personality and has plenty of knowledge in this area. I was only able to give a 5 star revue, but Specs and the people who work there, are just awesome and deserve more than that. My daughter just happened to break her glasses in half last night. So after work we went to specs to see what our options were. Eduardo gave me options and he was able to find a set of frames that he could take our existing lenses and modify them to fit. That alone was enough to get a rave review from me, but when he said he could have them tomorrow around noon, I was just blown away. Everyone at the front was also very considerate and made sure everyone in the office was being taken care of. After a not so good vision test at the DMV I decided to make an appointment for an eye exam. I called this place because my husband is a patient. They were able to fit me in same day. This is my first time getting an eye exam since I got married and moved to riverside and was scared to trust another doctors office other than the one I'm used to going, but the at vision specs welcomed us with open arms and smiles. Dr. Doung was very nice and answered all of my questions. Edward was also very patient and very accommodating and so was Hugo. When I first got my glasses I was so excited but there were a couple of scratches so they ordered me a new one without hesitation! After struggling for years with my prior Optometrist getting my prescription right, I FINALLY decided to change. I went to Dr.Duong and on my first appointment, she got the prescription right on. I know this sounds crazy but I have no idea of why I kept going back to my prior and correcting the prescription each time. I suppose just kind of like an old shoe. I don't have the time to sit here for a hour and type away. This store will know me by name. Your word is your word and this place has left me with the sour feeling in my mouth. I've been in four separate times, the last three times to get my second paid of glasses and was never told anything about price chance until they were actually there. Cause the prior two times I was told they were and ended up not being there. The agreed reason for buying a second pair was that is need to pay the difference in cost which was agreed to be $15 but no more then $25. My third time I finally get there and they have them in told it's $180....really? That's not a couple dollar difference. This price is quite significant and I'm sure anybody will agree. Working in customer service the way you go about this was hey it wad a mistake on my employee but I will honor his word even though it was a mistake. At the cost of keeping my customer happy. Not telling him it is what it is and to kick rocks. I was not even mad about coming four times for the same thing. This though is unacceptable service. If I could leave negative stars I would cause one is not even earned like this. read more
