I took my 83 year old mother for her initial eye exam. The receptionist was very patient as my mom explained her problems with contact lenses. The technician who administered the initial screenings was great at explaining each exam. As she moved my mom from machine to machine, she was very gentle with her. Dr. Tran was very thorough with each exam. He explained the issue with her eyes and where to go for minor surgery. My mom was very pleased with her visit. Because of the time he took with my mom, it did cause the other patients a longer wait. But, he is worth the wait. read more

I love this office! It's a small practice, but they all work very efficiently. Dr Romero is very thorough and has great chairside manner. I went into The Optometric Group in October of 2017 for an eye exam and found Dr. Trung Tran to be exceptionally helpful. He comes across as knowledgeable (sounds ridiculous, but it matters), courteous, and patient. He indulged me while I asked several questions about eye health and lenses. I ultimately did not purchase glasses from the office on this visit. January of 2019, I returned with frames I purchased elsewhere, and the office staff was wonderful in helping me get lenses to suit my needs. I asked them to customize the lenses based on how I wear the frames and they obliged. Absolutely loved this office! The staff was so helpful and kind! My soon to be 6 year old received a slip from school, recommending that she have her eyes checked so I began looking for places near by. The reviews for this office were all great so I called and they checked to see if our insurance was accepted over the phone. I set up the appointment and with my crazy schedule I thought I scheduled for a week later than the actual date my appointment was. It was no problem rescheduling they called me to see when was best! When we arrive my daughters were oohing and awing over the selections of glasses on the walls as I filled out paperwork. The nurse was so wonderful and made my daughter less nervous by her kind presence. The doctor came in after her and was more than helpful. He was very thorough and his calm and relaxed demeanor helped ease my daughters worries. The office was clean, The staff were friendly, The doctor was helpful, And my little girl was happy, What more can you really hope for one a first time trip to this office!? Great service here! I was able to get my contacts within 3 weeks after going to my first appointment. The DR gave me 4 different brands to try out to see which contacts felt comfortable. I ended up scratching one of my eye balls taking off the contacts. I called to see if they could see my eye and they did! Same day!! Great service here! Waited for frame about a couple a weeks they never called me and let me know that the frame was ruin when they received it, until i called them. They told me they would resend it again for the frame. Again waited a couple a weeks, i called again about the status. (Worst customer service ever. I have to called them about the status.) They said they never received the frame, but was send somewhere else. They will call me back regarding the lost frame. First time they call me back after a month and told me that my frame was lost can't find it. I wanted to order the same frame, they said it discontinue. So i choose a frame cost little more. I have to pay for the frame again. I paid it on the first visit for my frame already. With all the issues getting a frame, they should waive it. They give me a cheap loaner until I receive my frame. Why should i pay again? Something seem wrong i feel so cheated. So many issues just to get my frame. They deserved zero star than one star. read more

I went there a little after it was open because the sign said closed. I finally had to courage to tug on the door and it opened, I told the slim lady and she said okay, when the doctor came he turned the sign. I also suggest the front desk ladies dress more professional, leggings and off shoulder blouses are not appropriate. The optometrist was a kind man, he spent time to ask what I do and what my ailments were, I had an easy exam and was out in a jiffy with lens that help with my heavy computer use. read more

For a number of years, I have used this group for my eye exams and glasses. I was informed there was a new doctor and I visited anyway. He is truly a nice doctor and I believe he gave me a thorough exam. However, yesterday I was diagnosed at my urgent care facility to have a scratched cornea. I started experiencing pain this morning so I called the Optometric Group in hopes that the doctor could tell me what to do to relieve the pain. The person answering the telephone, I believe her name was Ana, proceeded to tell me that the antibiotics I was prescribed was probably causing the pain. She further stated that I should either go back to urgent care or come in to see the doctor. I told her that I was unable to drive since I had a patch on my eye and asked that I be able to speak to the doctor. She then responded by giving me more "medical advice". She barely listened to me for trying to dole out medical guidance. Who asks for medical advice from the front desk staff? I called to speak to the doctor and not her. I was so put off by her that I will definitely not be going to their clinic again. She acted the same way when I went for my last visit. She talks entirely too much and gives the impression that she is a health care provider but is not. I immediately called another clinic and an optometrist that I've never seen before told me to use hot compresses and stay away from light as much as possible for the next 2-3 days. I wasn't even his patient but he was available to give me some simple medical advice. It took him every bit of 5 minutes to simply talk to me, which is an indication that he values customers a lot more than the front desk staff does at the Optometric Group. I immediately made an appointment with his office and will be going there tomorrow. It is a shame that the doctor at the Optometric Group lost a patient due to his front desk staff being so overbearing and insensitive! My glasses were nice and so is the doctor but the customer service from the front desk is very poor! read more

The reason I give this office a 2 star is because of the support staff alone. Doctors were great. It's been almost a year since my daughter was seen last and she was due to order more lenses. I called and the lady stated all you have to do is call before Sep 1st and we can order her replacement lenses. I called before Sept 1st another lady stated I needed to come in a pay in person. I went in a couple days later to pay and the next person I dealt with states no they told you wrong, you need a new exam before we can do anything. 3 staff members told me all 3 different things, staff need to be retrained and understand customer service is why patients leave doctors offices. Not the doctors. The staff has changed since the previous year we have been. If you want poor customer service please call and ask for Maggie. She's a real piece of work with her sarcastic rude tone she used with me. There are a lot of Vsp providers out there that are looking for new patient business. read more

I've been to this business for several years when Dr. Worth was in practice. He was a nice doctor & always professional. He didn't like dealing with contacts, though. Every time I asked to be fitted for them he talked me out I it with so many reasons why they were a hassle. His staff was good and bad. There were a couple of very nice ladies and I was always glad to see them. There was one woman who was RUDE and, apparently, bitter with life. She was the reason I did not return. Had put up with her rudeness but 'enough is enough.' I went elsewhere. Well, I wanted to get my records and called and was greeted quite pleasantly on the phone. When I arrived at the office I saw one of the nice ladies that had been there in the past and a new (to me) person. I found out Dr. Worth had retired. I tactfully asked hat happened to the rest of the staff and gladly found out I wouldn't have to deal with the bitter-one any longer. Made an appointment to see Dr. Tran. I've seen him at three visits, so far. Not only is he professional but he is smart and educates when he answers my questions. He set me up with some great contacts. He is very pleasant and I feel like I'm talking to a friend. His office staff is awesome! So glad I ended up here again! I recommend anyone to see Dr. Tran. You won't be disappointed! read more

Dr. Tran is very professional and thorough with his exams. He made sure that I had all of my questions answered and reassured me when I had my doubts about LASIK. I came to him before and after my LASIK surgery and he made sure everything went smoothly. The facility is clean and all of the equipment is up to date. Came here last Friday for the first time and was really satisfied with the care I received. Despite being half an hour late due to traffic, the staff was very courteous and professional. During the eye exam Dr. Tran was very thorough and attentive. He was also very knowledgeable, nice, and patient--not overly pushy like some optometrists I have come across. The office is also very clean and they sanitize everything before you touch it. Overall I had a very good experience here and HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place!!! read more

This place is absolute garbage. My glasses crumbled apart and I can into exchange them. The woman couldn't find when I bought the pair so decided to say I received them in August and I have to pay $70 for a new pair. The woman was unreasonable and had no humanity when talking to me. This place sells frames that will fall apart and they take 0 responsibility. I'll be taking my business elsewhere as well as letting friends and neighbors know of my garbage experience unless this is resolved. read more

I decided to try this place because all of the Yelp reviews were nothing but above and beyond positive. The last place I came from was a little pricey and the last times I went in they were so busy gossiping as I stood there waiting to be helped not to mention also failed to inform me of all the information I needed so I decided to venture out and try something different.
