ZERO STARS! Waiting 3 weeks to receive my $350 deposit refund. I was told the check was mailed from Phoenix on 4/15. Today is 4/29 and still no check. 15 days for mail delivery from Phoenix to Albuquerque? I am not happy!! UPDATE 5/4/16: Still no check. A phone rep told me today that the corp. office processes refund checks only once a month, and it may have been mailed on the 22nd. I said I was told previously that the check was mailed on April 15th. She said refund mail dates are not entered in the system, and she doesn't know why someone gave me the date of the 15th. The best she can do now is forward my complaint to a supervisor who will notify the corp. office so someone can trace the check. They will contact me, maybe in a couple of weeks. read more

Zero stars! The awkward moment Cable One can't handle an angry customer, so they cut you off, and say 'I am worried for your well being' carelessly dump you on hold and call the police on you. Ha. Too expensive!!!! I hope Century Link starts there service where I live. I call in and I always get a computer person trying to troubleshoot issues I'm having with the modem. I haven't been with sparklight for very long but for the price I pay I shouldn't have so many issues and drops on my WIFI during the day. A Customer service rep told me I would get a credit to my bill because of the issues I was having but I have yet to see that credit. read more

The lady I was talking to had the audacity to hang up on me after I asked to speak to her manager. That's the customer service they give to their customer for over three years. I wouldn't do business with them if there was another choice for internet service in Rio Rancho. Started out with one plan that had a limit of 300 GB per month. Over the course of 6 months they said that I had exceeded my usage three times and had to upgrade. I upgraded to a more expensive plan that has 500 GB. Now a year later after not changing our internet usage, they say that I exceeded the limit three times again and need to upgrade again. They don't provide any way to track your usage so that you can even try to determine what is using so much data so you just have to take their word for it. I'm sure a year from now I'll be writing another review to say that I am now exceeding the 700 GB limit on the new plan that I'm forced in to. So I found that as their response stated you can track your usage. When looking at our usage I found that on one day recently, we supposedly used 42GB which would amount to more than 8 full length HD movies. The only problem is that no one was home all day. read more

Spark light is the worst internet service I have ever used. I had to disconnect from wifi so I would even be able to backspace or correct words. At least five times a day they have "Troy keshooting". Cool. Cant backspace the word troubleshooting. Tv is one thing but the internet randomly going out during exams is a whole other topic. I hate this company but I am stuck with them or FOR as long as I live in a certain part of town. read more

The billing people are absolutely stupid, rude, zero personality, indifferent and are about as excited to work there as a patient in for a root canal. Worst internet provider I have ever encountered.. consistent service outages and an apparent lack of ability to solve the issues with any speed what so ever. currently on a service outage of several now with no end in sight. If I could give a negative star review I would. I work graveyards and can't get work done a minimum of once to twice weekly. At the time I'm writing this, there are 12 reviews and the company has 1.5 stars. There's a reason for this. Cable One appears to be one of those companies you should run far away from. They called and offered me a great deal if I'd transfer my business lines from Century Link to theirs. Foolishly, I agreed to do so, and here I sit, perhaps losing business because they don't know what they're doing. We're going on day four of them not fulfilling their promises ... after, of course, they shut off the Century Link service. I switched from CenturyLink and it was the best decision I could have made. Sparklight has faster speeds and better customer service. My technician was quick/informative and was able to provide same day set up. I am thrilled with the service I have received so far! read more

Cable One in Rio Rancho is horrible. We are another example of hitting their data cap of 300 GB and being bumped up to their highest tier of service. With Rio Rancho you have 2 choices Cable One or Centurylink. prior to a couple of months ago Centurylinks data cap was at 250GB so we were stuck paying over $100 just for internet. Centurylink has since updated their policy and ALL of their plans with as low as 20 GBs speed has a cap of 1TB. I attempted to close my account and called their customer service number over the weekend. Their recoding says they're open Mon - Fri 8am - 5pm. I went today (Monday) to cancel my service. drove to their office only to find out their lobby is closed on Monday, so I called their customer service which has a prompt to cancel service, only to be informed they can't cancel service over the phone, there are no dropboxes in the entire city of Rio Rancho and that I have to go into the ONLY location in the city to conduct any kind of business whatsoever. read more

I have ALWAYS bragged about how I love Cable One and have been a TRUE promoter for their company because I honestly believed in them, but that changed today. We have been going through some financial struggles switching jobs and other personal things and when we asked for some help they will not budge. We paid our bill (whole past due) but when they disconnect it they make you pay a reconnection fee, first months service, and an activation fee again. We just paid $260 and now you want another $250. I understand your a business but I have NEVER had a company deny me service and not take their customers situation into consideration. I am willing to pay it but you won't even help me out for a couple days and for that you get a one star. The customer service experience was the worst we have EVER experienced. I never write bad reviews (NEVER) but I truly am hurt and offended. This impacts my work, my family, and you can't even help. Only had service for two months and have found out what crooks this company is in their billing practices! I'm from Los Angeles area and it's expensive there for everything. But this company is extreme in pricing. They told me it would be $90 a month, but they did not me that I had limited usage per month. They are charging me forty to fifty dollars extra per month for (what they call) extra usage. What a rip off!!! Finding another provider who hopefully is more honest! read more

Terribly intermittent service, but they fix it soon enough. Trouble is, it keeps happening, over and over. The office to return devices takes at least a half hour for them to get to you. They know there's not much competition, and it shows. read more

ZERO STARS! Save the money and headache! First off this was the only cable company in my area or I would have NEVER chosen them for a provider! Ever! And for good reason. My first appointment which I chose for 3-5 was unexpectedly changed to 2:30 ! So I was forced to go home early from my NEW JOB which did not look well at all. And I waited from 3:00 to 5:00 with NO TECHNICIAN!!! I then proceeded to call and they inform me that the tech says they came to my residence with no answer at my door, which was hilarious because I was outside with my children waiting from 3 to 5:15 . The result in the SECOND call to complain was that they would reschedule for the following day . What a joke....lo and behold once again....NO SHOW!!!!! WORST SERVICE EVER !!!! I Have had them years and years ago and the service was extremely poor and from what I hear its not changed . And icing on the cake for the OVERPRICED poor service is that the employees rate just as low as the connection. Absolutely a WASTE OF TIME MONEY AND FRUSTRATION!!!!! I was automatically upgraded to more expensive plan at $50 per month increase after 3 overages, but never told this would happen unless I reduced my usage. Unfortunately Cable One and CenturyLink are the only games in town for Internet and I hear CenturyLink is even worse! I'm a former Comcast customer and I'd beg to have them back any day...not sure why Cable One has the monopoly on Rio Rancho. I work from home and I can only count on the hard-wired Internet, and even it varies between 2 to 40 Mbps. Plus it's expensive. The tv selection isn't great either, and I'm planning on making the switch over to direct tv once I get around to it. I will say I've had positive experiences with customer service, but good luck getting ahold of them outside of business hours! read more

living in Rio Rancho is a ripoff I am sorry I made the choice to live here only two ISP options! and both are overly priced at that! bad enough when I owned a house out here it cost more on taxes than I have now in my apartment....I am not pleased with century link as I had them at my old address out here on Southern and Lisbon they were awful every month I had paid more and more and their low income option is a hoax! At least when the hell broke lose with Century Link my neighbor suggested Cable One which was a better service I had them for 4 month before I had to move and they were great with streaming sites like netflix, hulu, and prime. Customer service could of been better. I just wish there was a more affordable service out here now I can see why people move to ABQ more freedom of choice there. Shame internet cable companies are allowed to buy out towns cities areas as I thought this was a free country where we the people choose what services things we want! shame indeed monopolizing taking over specific areas so people have to pay what is offered is greed at its best.
