    We needed internet service for a rental property in Arizona, and settled on Sparklight. Everything actually was fine (which is why I gave them two stars instead of one) until we sold the house and went to cancel service. Holy cow, Sparklight really does not want to let you close your account. The local office was closed (the next closest one is hours away), with a sign on the door saying it would be closed all week, so we put the equipment in their drop box and I went to my account to try to cancel it online. The online customer service rep insisted the office was open (clearly she had bad information) and couldn't do anything for me. So I called, and the telephone rep conceded that maybe the office had been closed but told me that it would open the next day (which doesn't help me since I'm not in the area). Both told me that my account could not be closed out until Sparklight had actually received my equipment back. When is that? Well, it's apparently up to them when/if they decide to reopen their office and close my account. So now I'm going to have to call every day or so to see if they have it yet, and/or go through the fun of turning off my automatic credit card payments to the company.

    Zero balance??? Not due yet and somehow over due?

    Prices raise frequently with no notice. We have to call and negotiate a new rate. Really frustrating.

    I've been tied with Comcast Xfinity for wireless services at home for 5 years! It had been hard to…read morethink of switching..as you know...switching had always been sort of painful for me. But then..I finally had it and decided to switch to another service provider which would reduce my costs by more than half! So...I ended up managing to gather my courage to switch! I stopped by the store...since Comcast..AHEM made it hard to talk to them (I wanted to cancel my services with them...and they made me make an online appointment for someone from their call center to call back 3 days after...horrible service!). So, I ended up stopping by this shop in person instead. The pleasant thing about this shop was that it looked modern and the staff was nice and actually pleasant to interact with in person. They asked me for a cancellation reason, which I let them know..and it wasn't anything they could do to change my mind. I had been a customer for 5 years and they never called me (and I felt like they had always sneaked in higher prices without letting me know)..but then now I kept getting repeated automated calls a few times a day, presumably to try to make my change my mind!). Glad to be out of overpriced contract from Comcast Xfinity! I wished I had switched to other providers sooner...and hadn't missed Comcast Xfinity at all since I made the switch!! I am saving at least $50/month now!!

    1-Star Review (If I could give zero, I would)…read more I've never had a worse experience at any T-Mobile location than I did at the Rio Rancho store. Last week, my phone suddenly developed a line across the screen, froze, and stopped turning on or off. I called T-Mobile customer support, and the representative confirmed it was a warranty issue since there was no physical damage, no water damage, and the phone had never been dropped. He arranged for a replacement phone to be sent to this store and told me all I needed to do was bring mine in and swap it out. I arrived right when the store opened and still waited over an hour because the only employee working--Carlos--was completely alone. When he finally helped me, he took one look at my phone and immediately refused to assist, claiming I had "clearly damaged" it. I explained exactly what happened and repeated what customer service told me, but he still refused to help. I then called customer support again while standing in the store. The representative on the phone confirmed I was correct and that Carlos was required to process the warranty exchange. She even read him the warranty policy word for word. He still refused. She asked for a manager, and Carlos claimed he wasn't there but that he had "sent a photo" of my phone to him. I asked to see proof of that, and he couldn't show anything--because it never happened. The customer support rep was shocked at how he was speaking to her and how blatantly he was refusing to do his job. She apologized repeatedly and told me not to let this employee represent T-Mobile as a whole. She and her manager filed a formal complaint on my behalf and resolved my issue so I would never have to deal with this location again. It's honestly embarrassing that this store is allowed to operate with customer service this bad. I wish I had read the other reviews beforehand, because clearly this location has a pattern of treating customers terribly. I will never return to this store, and I strongly recommend others avoid it as well.

Although they couldn't help us with what we initially went in for, he made sure we knew how to handle it in our own. Alan answered all of our questions and was super nice! Even greeted the other customer that walked in. After the rude chick at academy this guy was an angel. I would definitely recommend this location.
