Virgil is a Godsend. I have tried various handymen and they were not reliable, albeit, did good work. But Virgil replaced molding in a custom home so quality was a prime requirement. The finished product was as good as the builder's work. He was usually on time and when he was delayed, he let me know, AND he never rescheduled. He is very accommodating - we worked together to find the correct stain. We just moved to Rio Rancho in January. One of my concerns was finding a good handyman. We had a great one back in California, and I was worried I wouldn't find someone else I could trust to do good work. Well, worries are over! Virgil is fantastic. When we first moved in, he came and looked over the list of recommended fixes our home inspector gave us. He fixed a couple little things that he could, recommended the type of professional we needed for others, and came back in June to work on staining the decorative wood on our facade. This work couldn't be done earlier since staining needs the right temperature to work. This was a big project, and Virgil was punctual and communicated well the entire time. The wood looks so much better, as the photos show. A big plus for me is that Virgil explains things well without ever talking down to me. As a woman, that's something I'm always concerned about. Virgil Tucker is a great find if you are looking for a trustworthy and competent person to fix all those pesky things you cannot fix. The response time to your calls for appointments is phenomenal and on the appointed day he is there when he said he would be. Side note - there is no "I will be there between x time and x time" which can be annoying, he gives you a fixed time and is there on the nose. Virgil its very common for a person as yourself to not tell the truth and try to defend your actions because you still want business. First its not insulting if your manager is your girlfriend and thats how introduced to me, second she knew right from the get go what work I requested to be done about the 2 small sections of sheetrock wanted replaced and was very detailed in describing. Noone in business first requires pictures to request services from a handyman. If your manager/girlfriend knows your not licensed to do sheetrock then just deliver the message to your client upfront and not lead them on and request photos. When I finished my order was never implied I needed to keep an eye out for messages you may send later for requesting photos. Like I said in first review if you would have been honest upfront that you don't do this work I could have moved on and had someone else come. If you weren't licensed to complete sheetrock work for the areas I told her was my primary concern then she could have simply responded that you were not licensed to do that work and if she knew that then why ask for pictures of it in the first place? You may say I was rude by asking you to leave but face it you were the one who was unprofessional and rude by not being forthright and honest in misrepresenting your work making your customer wait weeks when all along you and girlfriend/manager knew were not going to do. Also to go on about glue when you got here when I explained a professional who had the experience said it was the right glue , YOU and YOU alone were the rude one saying Why didn't I have the professional do it? Like I said you had no intentions of wanting to work that day, you mislead clients and your a Bully with your actions. My friend that you mentioned I told her what you did and said and she told me will not be recommending you either and apologized. You should be the one apologizing and would have made yourself look a whole lot better in doing so because had you have an inch of truthfulness in you owning up to your mistakes would have made your business review look far better but now you've made it worse because you continue to defend your dishonest actions. Again in response...This mans response is a total lie! I never insisted you complete work on sheetrock, I would never want a handyman thats not licensed to do that work thats why I called and explained to you the services I was looking to have completed. I know of no person that would demand a service to be completed by someone that doesn't have a license or does that type work. Are you insane? I called in the request as any person does but when you are called and the person tells you what they need to have done as an honest business practice you have an obligation to tell your client you are not licensed to do sheetrock and its obvious you were NOT being truthful because days later you wouldn't be asking for pictures either like I said but I still sent them. You still days later instead of asking for pictures of the areas of sheetrock I requested to have fixed should not be requesting but should have been messaging I apologize but wanted to ket you know we cannot replace sheetrock but you didn't at that time either! You would not ask for pictures thats the first clue you were not being forthright and honest you never had any intentions of being able to do this work and should have disclosed upfront cannot complete this type work because your not licensed and against the law and right then and there your client would end that call and seek out another business to have the work they needed to have done in the first place ! When you scheduled that appointment you should have told your client right then and there you were not licensed and could not do sheetrock! You still had 5 days from when I finally saw your text message and sent the pictures to reply . Just quit being dishonest and admit you should have told the customer upfront when you scheduled the appointment you are not licensed and cannot do sheetrock and did not disclose it because you knew I wouldn't have wasted my time with the rest of the work and given the job for the backsplash as well to the person I would have hired because I needed and wanted as priority the sheetrock and tiling ! If your so upset about being called girlfriend/manager tell Virgil because thats where the information came from when disclosed to my friend who recommended you and left review and said will not be recommending you anymore. That should be the least of your concerns and should be more about wasting peoples time not disclosing upfront that you were not able to do any sheetrock because you are not licensed! I would have closed that call out so fast and just moved on. You never at anytime disclosed weren't licensed and couldn't do sheetrock and obvious why because I would not need any partial service from you when I could go to another business to have all that work done and I had asked the man to leave!Lied ! read more
