My toilet was running and jiggling the handle would not work. A quick visit from ABQ Handyman and voila no running toilet. FYI under the flapper is a giant rubber washer-like that had a bubble in it from putting bleach tablets in the tank. Don't do that! Thank goodness for ABQ Handyman I was thinking that everything had to be replaced. Wes is awesome he explained everything to me and we talked about other future projects. He is extremely knowledgeable, prompt, and reasonably priced. read more

Can't really rate a business on the value of their work when they won't return your call. They were the second handyman I called off of Yelp who only gave excuses as to why they couldn't do the job. Doesn't anyone want to work anymore? Long story short, I did the repairs myself. Thanks for nothing. read more

I called ABQ Handyman to come over and give me a quote on the following: 1. Install Sink, 2. Fix Caulking in Bathroom, Fix the errors on the bathroom with regards to the installation of my vinyl plank floors (install quarter round to cover the bad cuts, fix the transition areas by reinstalling the plank and transition pieces), remove old hardware from the bathroom tub/shower area and sink. At first, I was impressed with him. He was on time, clean, and acted in a professional manner. He said he could do each of the tasks and gave me a price on each one. He installed my sink and did a good job with the exception of putting too much caulk under it which gave me problems when I had my counters resurfaced. He then did the caulking around the windows and tub (he forgot the shower floor area between the floor and shower). That was a pretty good job. Then it went downhill after that and put me behind the 8 ball in terms of schedule to get my house ready to list for sale. He had the flu and called to reschedule. When he came over 2 days later, he didn't get much done on the repair of the floors except for scraping out caulking and cutting 3 pieces of flooring to line up with the transition area (and those pieces were uneven).That took him 2 hours and then he left and said he couldn't come back until next Tuesday. I had a feeling he wasn't going to show up so I texted him on Monday to make sure he was coming. He texted back and said he would be there. When he arrived, my mother noticed he didn't bring his tools in and she started to smell a rat. He screwed around with the main bathroom floor again and instead of cutting 3 new pieces that would nicely fit under the transition piece, he cut 2 small pieces that looked absolutely stupid to even up that area. Then he glued them down and then glued the transition pieces down with a butt load of glue. He told my mom that she would have to put a heavy box there to keep the floor down. She went over and said that looked awful. Then he proceeded to tell her that he wasn't good with flooring and that I talked him into it. My mom called me and by time I got home, he left and didn't tell her. He didn't give me a courtesy call to tell me that he wasn't coming back. All he texted me was that he couldn't shut off the water valves under the sink so he couldn't remove the hardware. He also claimed he could replace my shower hardware but the weaseled out of that because it was too hard for him and that a plumber should do it. Well why quote prices on tasks that are not in your abilities? I also paid him extra to add onto the other tasks and I bet I won't see my money. This guy is a putz and a scam. Don't ever use him. read more

We had Wes come out and assemble / install a play set for our granddaughters. I called him simply because of the positive online reviews that I had read about ABQ Handyman. Wes had me send him a copy of the instructions ahead of time, so he came prepared with another guy to help him (thank goodness for his experience). Not only did they assemble the play set with the detail towards the safety of our granddaughters, they had some really good ideas about the area that we were placing the set on. Needless to say, we were very impressed with their professionalism and their workmanship. As a bonus, the price charged was more than fair and far less than the play set manufacturer was going to charge. All in all, it was a first class experience for us and we would recommend Wes for your handyman projects. Mike L. read more

They came out to a property we just moved into. Our house was full of boxes, we were a frazzled mess. He came out to look at a broken outlet, he found out we were also missing a bathtub plug, said he would get one from the hardware store. My husband asked if he would pick up some screws to save us a trip. He was very kind and said absolutely! I highly recommend them. read more

Our small non-profit needed a shortlist of projects done throughout the office. I called 15 different handymen from my google search and only two responded; Wes was one of them. He was prompt in returning my call and came out the following day to get us a quote and see what supplies he would be needing for the projects. We scheduled the date while he was here and on the day of, he showed up prompt and excited to work. He worked safely and performed services in a skillful, yet timely manner; while keeping our business in mind (pausing to avoid noise when the telephone rang). He worked with precision and we are delighted. We will be definitely be utilizing his services in the future. read more
