Instead of sending David, Lester subcontracted out the job to a crew that told me they had never actually met Lester in person. Lester had initially stated that he would include painting if I provided the paint. When I asked Lester about the painting after the repair had been made he incorrectly stated that the reason that they had not painted was that I never provided paint to the crew. This was not true. He also told me that I needed to "Read the messages!!" referring to our previous text exchange and work agreement. Once I sent a screenshot of our previous conversation to refresh Lester's memory and told him that I had provided the paint to the crew and discussed it with them, he said he would call me later to reschedule the paint job. I never heard from him again. Fortunately, I was able to contact the crew that was subcontracted to finish the job with them directly. I wouldn't recommend using Lester. I had 2 different companies come out and look at the repair and they both said that it was a poor job and recommended removing the texture and redoing it. We live in another city, and were only able to meet face-to-face with Arturo a few times. But despite the remote work, it was an amazingly positive experience. This job included floors, doors, cabinets and countertops, minor electrical, plumbing, drywall, painting, etc. When challenges arose, Arturo responded each time with "What can Sunset Valley do to make you delighted?" His crew was neat, arrived on time, was respectful to our tenants, and completed the tasks in the promised time. His prices were not cheap, but they were fair and the work they did was stellar. We will happily use Sunset Valley again and we highly recommend this company to everyone.

When I called, they said they had me down for 10/11. I don't believe that's what I scheduled, but I let it go. John came out, we discussed the job. I explained some extenuating circumstances. He left with a promise of having an estimate to me ASAP given the extenuating circumstances. To date, October 31, 2023, 3 WEEKS after coming to my home and many calls and texts from me, I still do not have an estimate. My last message on 10/30 was to please send me a quick text or give a quick call to let me know if they've decided they don't want the job. (Some repairs and also painting my entire home.) I mean, come one, it's just a little common courtesy and professionalism to let someone who's counting on an estimate that you've changed your mind about doing the job. Their silence speaks volumes. Unfortunate that contractors are like this. There will come a time when things are slow and maybe they'll wish they'd have treated potential customers better.

Their crew even took the liberty to fix a drywall mistake made by a different contractor even though it was a major setback for them. I have found no flaws in the wall or ceiling and their price was definitely reasonable. If you want drywall work done well, go with these guys!

Ok, I'm editing my original review for these guys from 1 star to 5. I normally don't do that so I…read morepromise I will explain why so this will be a bit of a long review. We were sort of at a loss for what to do since not many places seem to do this type of work so we gave them a second chance. Not only did the owner show up on time for the quote, he was extraordinarily helpful and gave us some good tips on other surfaces and how to maintain. Extremely knowledgeable, very nice guy. They were very accommodating with scheduling and the day of they were on time and ready to roll. We initially called them to restore and reseal our stone tile that was in horrible shape from not being cleaned or maintained properly from the previous owner. We tried everything we could and just couldn't get it clean. After the visit and asking some questions, we ended up with the trifecta of things we didn't even know he did. Not because he was pushy by any means, he actually told us how to do it ourselves but we asked if he did work like that because it would take us FOREVER and would be one of those weekend projects we would procrastinate (not to mention the cost of materials we'd have to get and only use a tiny amount of). What we ended up with was deep cleaning and resealing of the stone (travertine) tile, polishing and resealing of our granite countertops, and carpet cleaning of the high traffic areas. Yup. They do all that. And his prices were extremely reasonable. The guys were great- extremely professional and friendly. The tools they use are pretty cool as well and they explained what each of them was doing. We couldn't be happier and would highly recommend them. So, a couple of tips: - Follow up with them if you don't get an immediate response. There were a couple of things that were forgotten but quickly remedied. I think they're just busy and a family-run business so some communication details get lost in the shuffle. (hey, remember that quote you said you were going to send by email?...) - We thought it was going to take at least half a day but we moved everything we could off the surfaces which seemed to cut the time in half, if not more. I think they normally do move a lot of things for folks because they seemed surprised. lol We also vacuumed everything right before they came over. - If you have granite or quartz countertops and have never resealed/polished them- do it. I don't think ours had ever been done and they are as smooth as glass now (more so than they were). - Ask them questions! They're a wealth of knowledge and will give you all sorts of good info for maintaining the surfaces and how to take care of them. - When they do the first pass with the cleaner on your tile, brick, or whatever you will feel like a dirty little hamster. I promise you. It was so nasty but have solace in the fact that they've probably seen worse. LOL

The travertine stairs in our home had been damaged by the previous owners. Apparently someone had…read moretried to clean them but instead etched the surface, leaving black marks where dirt had settled. Several companies came out and just scratched their heads, not knowing what to do. Jerry and his son from New Again knew exactly what had happened and how to restore them. It took a few weeks before they could get back out because they are in such demand. They even had to order a special sanding pad for my job but were very fair in their price, considering the extent of the work they did. The stairs look great now! I'm attaching photos because seeing is believing. New Again is fair, honest, and knowledgeable. My only criticism is that that his email quote directed me to a website that charged me the full amount before the work was done. However, I will be calling them in the future when I need other surfaces restored.
