An exciting new restaurant in the Northwoods area, Sorella offers an upscale dining experience, with delicious food and drinks to suit every taste. An interesting feature is the interior waiting/overflow area - when you enter, you'll immediately come across a room independent from the main dining room with a full bar and a few seats. We really appreciated this feature as we were able to peruse the drink menu, chat, and feel taken care of before our table was ready. In the event the restaurant is slammed, you can also have dinner in this area. Moving to the main dining room, we were pleased to see a bright, elegant atmosphere with varying table sizes to suit a variety of party sizes. A white tablecloth with high-end dinnerware was complemented by the ornate ceiling to elevate the visual appeal of the space, making it feel very upscale. The general manager introduced himself and informed us of the specials, and also made sure we knew that he could be of help if there was any beverage we didn't see on the menu. The bottles he was recommending were around the $100 mark - certainly out of our budget, but I'm sure there are many folks who will appreciate the variety of offerings. The dinner menu offered a wide gamut of options, from pastas, to steaks and seafood. I ordered the chicken piccata, and I'm happy to say it was the best I've ever had at a restaurant. Other members of our group raved about the arancini, the pork chops, and filets. Our whole party of 8 was very pleased with the food, speed, and atmosphere. An absolute experience like no other. As a family who goes out to eat in very vibrant Italian communities such as Lincoln Park and Little Italy/Soho in NYC, Sorella is a hidden gem that everyone can enjoy. Between the arancini, homemade pastas, beautifully plated dishes, and classic desserts, everyone can find something they like at a great pace. Everything is fresh, start to finish, including the drinks. When we were there, we were immediately thinking of what we would get when we go back. Great dinner. Love a nice restaurant up here in the northwoods. We got the beef Carpaccio appetizer, the special bass dish and the beef tips gnocchi. Everything was wonderful, including the salad, the service and the food. Will definitely be back!!! read more

Sorella was our couple friend's monthly dinner spot for October 2025. Two couples who make time to dine together and catch up monthly. Located closer to Three Lakes than Eagle River...this restaurant is worth the drive. The ambiance is that of an old beautiful house that provides a cozy and relaxing dining experience. The pastas are homemade, the wine list and craft cocktails well paired with the chef's menu. Absolutely recommend for an elevated dining experience tucked away in the Northwoods. read more

Really great experience. Starting with food quality, we had the meatball and several pasta dishes. The Caesar is top notch as well. We had little kids, which is always a challenge. The staff were helpful and accommodating. Made us feel prioritized, which isn't easy. In this area staffing is always a challenge, but felt even though wait was longer, I'd rather that for excellent food and didn't see if as an inconvenience. Will absolutely be back with my family. We had reservations, had to wait for the host to come and get us. The table he brought us to was very small and pushed against a wall. I asked if there was another table we could have since there was only one other table with patrons. The host went to check on my request and came back saying there was nothing available. I said, "there is no one else here " and he went to check again. He returned and told us there was nothing available. Could not believe the very poor customer service and we walked out. Had a reservation here for 6:30 and arrived a little early. The restaurant was pretty empty except for side 2 people tables. We were asked to wait. Meanwhile 2 other walk ins came in and were seated almost immediately. I asked if my table was ready and they said I had to wait. So we waited. Finally after 15 more min a person left and they sat in the corner. I'm going to say worst table in the place. The waiter came up and spoke no English We did not get and specials list. No wine list. More walk ins came in and they were seated in center tables. I know they were walk ins because when I looked at the reservation list we were the only ones on it. Needless to say the meal was average at best. The atmosphere was bad being in the corner facing the wall in an empty restaurant. I felt unappreciated and almost like we were a bother to them. I really don't like the way the manager handled the reservation and seating. read more

Excellent upscale Italian food. Some might say it's pricey, but it is on point for what you are going to experience. The staff is very friendly and informative, including the bartender manager and Weight staff. We had appetizers drinks, entrées, and desserts. A+ wonderful place. My only request since I am living nearby would be nice to have pizza but I know that's not really possible since you're more upscale but how about an upscale pizza I personally don't understand the low ratings for this restaurant. What's the hype? The hype is look at your area there's not much fine. Dining in Eagle River Wisconsin. Also, if there's a long wait time, it's because there's a lot of people there. It's packed. We went on a Monday night and the restaurant was packed. All tables were filled if that's not a sign of a great restaurant then you do not know what great food is....and I'm Italian first generation! An absolute 5 star experience from beginning to end. Our dinners were amazing starting with the salad which was by far the best salad I have ever tasted. Entrees were delicious and plentiful. We ended our meal with a cannoli which was homemade and absolutely delicious. Great atmosphere and wonderful staff. Looking forward to going back again. read more

This was my third time eating here The first two were positive experiences with good food And friendly service The third time was far less positive I ordered pasta for my main entrée there was considerable wait time to get my order When the pasta arrived it was lukewarm at best, extremely dry and sticky it was not edible In my opinion. I called the general manager over to the table and told him I could not eat this pasta that it was bad. He looked at me and said well have you ever had homemade pasta before I told him that I've had homemade pasta a few times in my life and this certainly was one of the worst ones I ever had. he did offer to replace it, but I told him no thank you because we were running out of time and if it took as long to get it as the first one, the party that I was with would be done with their meal and have to wait and I didn't want that. He left the table and I did not hear from him again a little while later the server came over and asked if I wanted a box to take my pasta home again I said it wasn't edible and I would not want to take it home. He left returned a little later with the bill which included a charge for my pasta I found the general managers attitude, condescending, and his response inappropriate Needless to say my wife and I will not visit this establishment again read more

Service was excellent. Food was tasty and well prepared. I had the pork chop and my husband beef stroganoff gnocchi. We had oysters as an appetizer. Dining area is well designed, but similar to many restaurants these days, noise level was high. Prices reasonable for quality and quantity, but I thought it odd to charge $2 for olive oil and balsamic dipping sauce for the focaccia. Wine prices per glass a bit high. read more
