First time having a pasty and I just wanna say WOW! Great flavor all around. I definitely coming back before we head back to California

The pasties were hot and flaky. We were a late lunch so fast service. If I lived in town instead of out of state I'd eat there more often.

Very tasty! I had a Steak & Cheese, the wife had Steak. The crusts were flaky and clearly freshly made with quality ingredients, and the gravy was also homemade and delicious, too. Staff was very friendly and helpful, and the owner was in the back, making pasties, and more were in the ovens - the place smelled wonderful. We shared a carrot cake for desert, it was also clearly homemade and very good! It's a small place, only five 2-person tables, so be aware, I expect they'll be busy! They've only been open a week, we'll definitely be back for another pasty and next time a sausage roll! Some feedback to the owner: I wish there had been HP Sauce for my pasty, and if you had partially baked or frozen pasties to finish at home, we'd have grabbed a half dozen, at least! (If you do have them, you need signage - I'm guessing that's part of your plan, you're doing great after only a week!) PS: Your mom is lovely. :) read more

Pasty? Just try them. We bring ours home and heat them up for dinner. Smells so good and are a great value.

Growing up in Michigan we used to get pasties in the upper peninsula. The miners would take them into the mines for their meal. When I saw they had them close to us we just had to try them. Are we ever glad we did. We each had a ground beef pasty but ended up just splitting one so we have one for this week. The crust was light and flaky. You bake them from frozen so that is convenient. They were super delicious. We will be back. The owner Julie was very friendly and seemed genuinely pleased that we were there to purchase them. Give them a try you won't be disappointed! read more

I actually had to stop eating to rave avout the food. I got a Sausage roll which is the perfect size for me. I groaned with my first bite. So flakey, you make a mess, but so worth finding crumbs everywhere. Husband got the Steak and Cheese large size which was massive to me. Also bought a piece of Pumpkin Roll which smells delicious. Place isn't busy today, I hope more people find it so we don't miss out! read more

Reviews have not mentioned the delicious pieces of cakes that are in the display case. My choice was Texas Sheet Cake. It was so good. I think there were 4 other types to choose from. All the other excellent reviews are correct & in my opinion these are well worth $10. You gotta try the cake to top off the experience. Love the outdoor patio area. The lady at the front counter was very patient as it was my first time in the shop. Can't wait to try it all. read more

Went there tonight with a group of British ladies to test out the food, great authentic Cornish pasties, made by ladies from Cornwall, we all agreed we would be going back. There is small eating area inside the shop available, which work out great for our group of six, there were still a couple of other tables available, but I would recommend calling ahead for a larger group. Their main business seems to be take out, with frozen pasties and sausage rolls being sold frozen so you can cook them fresh at home. The owner, Julie was very friendly, and even made us some English hot tea and sat and chatted with us a while. If you are a fan of Cornish Pasties definitely worth a visit, if you want to try out some authentic traditional English food, try their Steak Pasty. read more

GO HERE NOW!!! I had the Sausage Pasty and holy crap it was delicious!!! Seriously one of the best things I've eaten in a while. The crust is perfectly flaky, plenty of filling that is not dry at all and seasoned really well. The gravy is so good that I drank what was left of it and it's the perfect compliment to the pasty. Went here with a friend to try something new. We were both impressed with the pastys. The owner gave a background of the history of pastys plus their family business. She suggested we each get a different pasty and split them, this way trying 2 types. Excellent idea and we both LOVED both kinds!! Put this place on your Must Try list! read more

Was here for lunch last week with my Sis in law, we both love pasties and were starving...so we were REALLY looking forward to this!! Julie, the owner, was SO nice..super friendly and helpful. We had a steak and cheese and a chicken green chili...both were EXCELLENT. The chicken with green chili's and cheese are NOT hot just a great flavor combo. She has an assortment of baked ones in a hot-box to choose from and a nice brown gravy if you'd like some. You can get frozen, ready to bake or partiality baked to finish off in your oven (30 mins @ 350) so we both took home pasties! I recommended this to anyone looking for a tasty hand crafted food that is made with quality ingredients, I hope she comes to Apache Junction! read more

These pasties are more like the pasties you'd find in any small town in south west England. That's a good thing. There are other pasty restaurants around town that are great too but if you want something a little more traditional come here. read more

Cheaper Pasties than Cornish Pasty company and not bad if you want something cheap and quick. But you definitely get what you pay for in comparison to CPC. Not bad though! read more

Don't tell my grandmother, but the pastry dough here is the best I have ever had. Add gravy and your world will be even better. You can read the other reviews that explain what a pasty is. I've had the steak and the ground beef ones... extra gravy please. :) And the fruit pies are a fun extra. The staff here is always fantastic and friendly. This is a small place off the street that I'm afraid people can miss. Please try it and spread the word. I want Sonsons to be here for a long, long time! read more

My husband and I both lived in London so we are always looking for a good pasty. Can't remember the exact flavors we got but they were amazing. The crust is too die for. Stopped in today as I was looking for something different for lunch. This place is amazing! The crust on the Pasty was perfect. I got the Cornish Cheesy and my coworkers got the steak and cheese. We were all pleased. Plus the deserts are insanely good. I recommend the fudge cake and fresh cream or the banana Carmel pie thingy! Amazing! If your looking for a great place and simple great food. We learned about this place while yelping for Vegan in Arizona. The staff informed us they had only been open for 2 weeks and had difficulty predicting how many pasty's to make. My husband and I were starving but felt lucky to receive the last vegan pasty of the day, at 1130 am. A pasty, for lack of a better description is sort of like a pot pie. We like stuff spicy so maybe they could add a spicy vegan option with Chile and a couple more choices of dipping sauce. We did enjoy this unique dish and the pasty dough itself was awesome! We were alone on Christmas this year and I did not feel like cooking. I have a rare stomach disorder. We picked up an order from Sonsons Pasty for Christmas Eve after hearing about it through a Facebook post and then watching a local TV story. We loved them. We ordered again the following week for New Years Eve. This time we ordered the apple turnovers too. We think it is the greatest fist of food. We shared our discovery on FB, along with the history of the Pasty. I recommend this place. If you have a dietary need, give them a call a few days in advance and most of the time they can alter the filling eg, no onions, no rutabagas etc. read more

Found this place on Yelp and all I can say is wow!!! This place is better than Cornish Pasty Company by far! The crust was super flaky and delicious. Husband got the steak and cheese with gravy and I got the Big Cheese and we split a sausage roll. Everything was amazing. Come hungry, they are big. These ladies are going a wonderful job.
