Reservations were easy to make online and were confirmed quickly but beware that your confirmation email might get filtered into your spam folder which is what happened to mine. Our table was ready and waiting for us. We had the afternoon tea for three which included a varied selection of finger sandwiches, sweet treats, and scones. Two pots of tea are included and we chose the pudding tea and the gingerbread tea. Both teas were delicious and the gingerbread tea was nice in that it's caffeine free. All the food selections were fresh and fantastic. I would venture to say that I liked the food selections even more than at the previous location! Dear Mark C., I found the Quirky Royal Tea Room on YELP, however I pray that the commumity won't risk their health by eating at your restaurant. I came to your so called Tea Room on Dec. 14, 2025, with two of my dear friends to celebrate a birthday. It started out with us having a terrible time just finding your location. There is absolutely no signage on your store front and its very apparent that you must be struggling, due to your choice of being in a very run down strip mall. You say on your Yelp site that your Tea Room is classy, however, what we walked into was not the case at all. I would say it's very "tacky ". And, what is very interesting is that most of the pictures on the Yelp app. are a misrepresentation of your Tea Room. It doesn't look anything like where we were expecting. Except, for the pictures with the pink walls. What a disappointment for my myself and my friends birthday celebration. The food appeard to be all store bought, even though you say you have a baker on site. That is really hard to believe, based on what we experienced. The tea wasn't even warm and and what else surprised me was that the napkins were paper and the water cups were plastic. Yet, here's the aweful part, we had to rush one of my friends to the hospital. Approximately half-way through our meal, one of my friends had to be rushed away due to a sudden and horrible stomach ache, severe pains, a complete loss of facial color, and she could no longer sit in her chair. All she wanted to do was to lay down. We almost called 911, not knowing what was happening. It was that bad. Shortly after arriving at the hospital, she was diagnosed by an emergency room doctor with a case of food poisoning. It was confirmed that she hadn't eaten anything so far that day, except the food items at the Tea Room. She ultimately had a stomach ache and cramps for almost a week, following this incident. Just a few days later, our birthday girl also went to the hospital ER with stomach cramps, and ultimately had to spend 3 days in the hospital herself. In a later conversation between the 3 of us, we recalled that two us had in fact eaten the same lunch meat sandwiches. I did not eat these sandwiches and never felt these ill symptoms. Once my friends felt better, we went to talk to yourself, since you were confirmed to be the manager in charge. We made you aware, Mark C., that we in fact had documentation from the ER doctor that our friend had food poisoning from her only meal that day. Upon presenting our situation with Mark C. in a very calm and polite manner, explaining to him our experience that particular day, we simply wanted him to refund our $130 spent for that meal that day. At this moment in time, she hadn't even mentioned the cost for the ER hospital visit. It was only our intention to recover the cost of the meal. Shortly after our initial meeting with Mark, he became very rude to us. He kept insisting that there is no way she could have received food poisoning from this restaurant, saying that it takes a full 24 hours for symptoms to occur. In doing some research, this is what I found: "Food poisoning can strike from as quickly as 30 minutes (like with Staphylococcus aureus toxins) to several days or even weeks later (like Listeria or Cyclospora), depending on the germ or toxin, with common bacteria like Salmonella or E. coli often causing symptoms within hours to a couple of days. Viruses like Norovirus usually appear within 12-48 hours". Shortly after, in the same conversation, Mark told us to take him to court, to which we were very shocked that a manager and business owner would respond to us in the manner. It was at this time that we suggested we may report him to the Board of Health and let them sort this out. We simply wanted our money back and then we would then leave without so much nonsense. There absolutely was no bargaining with you Mark C, or the big words you seem to like to throw around like extortion and blackmail. All over $130. Shame on this man! read more

My friend and I enjoyed the Tea for Two today, it was our first time there. The place is very cute, decorated thoughtfully, with beautiful tea sets and HRH Queen Elizabeth II is there! We were provided with a nice selection of tea and the tower of delicious foods was very satisfying. In fact we couldn't finish everything! Each of the sandwiches, quiches, scones and treats were perfectly fresh. I really loved the size of them, just enough without being too much. The owner Marc was very attentive. Love this place! I visited with my mom and daughters, and we absolutely enjoyed it to the fullest. Their tea is incredible, and the scones and nibbles were just as delightful. The customer service was wonderful--we even got to meet the owner, who was so personable and welcoming. Our tea date happened to be during both a birthday party and a bridal shower, and everyone around us seemed to be having such a wonderful time, which added to the cheerful atmosphere. While they don't have an enormous tea selection, what they do carry is truly excellent. It was my daughter's birthday, and they surprised her with a sweet little gift. The pictures on their website do not represent the restaurant. the website is extremely misleading. There is no chandelie, the walls are pink and low and it looks like a converted Chinese restaurant. The portion sizes were minimal and no second service like other tea houses and limited our teas to two pots. The tea were tea bags and not tea leaves which made for the tea to be stronger and stronger as it steeped. I'm very disappointe. the servicer was not well dressed, the restrooms were hidden by a hanging black cloth. for about thirty dollars more per person I could have gone to the Phoenicia. read more

Absolutely chuffed to bits as my Nanny would say! This exceeded all of my expectations of afternoon tea, and even rivals the various tearooms I've visited across England visiting family. I heard about this tearoom through Yelp, and I knew I had to try as it's only 7 miles from my house. What better way to do so, then to invite my cousin to partake in their Afternoon Tea for Two. With a peanut/treenut allergy, I knew I would need to reach out to inquire beforehand and Mark was very pleasant and happy to research the items to ensure a safe experience today. A couple reviews mentioned it was hard to locate, but we had no trouble as it is within the main building of the Golf Course (not the conference or banquet center). Signs made it easy to locate once in the lobby. From the minute we walked in, we fell in love with the decor. So much so that I'll easily be uploading 25+ photos as it is just stunning inside. Especially since every table has a different tea set and we were thrilled the owner came by to give us an explanation and history of the tea set we were using today. Heck, he even shared the recipe and process of the house made clotted cream. As he said, don't worry as we don't be making it due to the extensive process to make/cool/separate. Though with one bite, we are hooked and tempted to make ourselves. Be back soon to enjoy! Our waitress asked for our selection of the tea, and we advised to surprise us with a black tea and we were not disappointed! Went on opening day of the new location in Gilbert. The room was really nicely set up and the tea sets were all beautiful. My friend and I shared a big teapot of apple caramel tea, but you can also get two small teapots of different teas if you prefer, as part of the Afternoon Tea for Two deal. They have both regular and decaf tea selections. The food was delicious. As part of the Afternoon Tea for Two, there were 4 different mini-sandwiches (3 of each kind, so 12 total - we had egg salad sandwiches, cucumber and cream cheese sandwiches, turkey and gouda sandwiches, and brie and apple sandwiches), and 2 quiches, then a tray of assorted desserts, and a tray with scones, clouted cream and jam. Our waitress, Robin, was fantastic. Very friendly, very attentive. We loved her. The owner was very friendly and welcoming. Our reservations got cancelled & we had to go somewhere else last minute. I made reservations here for a surprise bridal shower 2 weeks ago. Called this morning to make sure our reservations were still good and I was told they don't have reservations after 2:30pm. Then why have that option on your website?? And why not call me back as soon as you see that reservation placed on your end? The only explanation I got was "well that's online". Lack of empathy and remorse from this place. We came here for an early Mother's Day tea. It was very nice. The finger sandwich's were good - the cucumber and the apple/Brie were excellent. The sweets were nice and the biscuit/scone was also delicious. I saw someone complain about the clotted cream, it tasted like the cream we had in England, so no complaints here. The two pots of tea- the house Glen and their dessert blend were very good. The one down side was we had 2 pots for the six of us. It would have been nice to have a third pot. Came in as a walk-in. Place was empty except for 2 two tops. They weren't sure if they could fit us in. They are obviously new to the location as the decor and music leave something to be desired. My plate was dirty when I sat down. The food was okay... but nothing you couldn't make at home yourself. Tea was delicious but only made a few cups. Service was the best part however we waited awhile for our check. Altogether it cost $70 for two people to have tea, a little pricey. I don't think me or my guest will be back. Update: Thank you so much for your response. I believe you are right. This type of establishment would be much better suited for zero walk ins. I think having an online reservation system would help you drum up more business and avoid this problem in the future. Went with a large group and had a nice time. The place is cute inside. The food was good, some of it was clearly store bought, but everything was tasty. The only complaint would be that you have to pay to get a tea refill once the pot is gone. Other teas I've been to have unlimited tea. It was $10 for a full pot and $5 for half pot. It was a very low key quality afternoon tea at high quality prices. The dining room was basically partitioned walls painted pink. The food was so-so. Scones were good. I asked for water and it was brought in a plastic cafe glass. Nice tea cups, but tea was nothing special. The reservations were written on a napkin. All of it was just ok. There was nothing that took it up to "special." I had afternoon tea one time at The Brown Palace in Denver. This did not even rank at all in comparison even though the cost was actually about the same. I don't regret taking my daughter here for this one time, but the $75 would have paid for a super nice lunch somewhere else. Best Sunday tea time with my girlfriends!! My friend planned a birthday party for me and found this little gem of a venue!! Nestled inside the Arizona Golf Resort, this darling spot is such a nice way to spend the afternoon. Mark the owner waited us including a few other servers to accommodate our large group. Everyone was SO NICE and helpful! Mark is just an encyclopedia on all things British, and told us a lot of history on tea. Absolutely delighted with the experience at this tea room! The tea room is located in the main building of the golf resort and had clear signage to route us to the tea room once we entered the doors. I love how personal the experience was as they shared their own stories and experiences as they related to us. Each table was set with a unique tea set which I thought added so much to the ambience. The owner shared a tidbit about the tea set at our table and I was thrilled when he gave the history of our 100+ year old set that is "haunted as hell" LOL. Very fitting for my family. Luckily our Nanny didn't pop in to cause one of us to break something so she could laugh at us. :) My cousin and I splurged on the Full Afternoon Tea for Two ($65 at the time of this review) in honor of our Nanny and Auntie Carol whose birthdays are around this time. My cousin does have a tree nut/peanut allergy so it can be difficult to find items safe for her to consume. She did reach out ahead of time to confirm this could be accommodated and the staff was happy to accommodate her allergies so we could avoid any issues during our visit. We started off the afternoon with Mrs. Patmore's Pudding (kindly selected by a staff member as we couldn't make our mind up with all the delicious tea selections offered). This was a delicious black tea with sweet undertones I may need to find to have on hand at home when I need a pick me up from a cuppa. The owner shared that the scones and clotted cream are house made (so awesome)! Absolutely delicious paired with the preserves. The tray also served assorted sweet treats, selection of 4 tea sandwiches, and quiches. We closed out the experience with a wee pot of Earl Greyer, a black tea with a fuller body, so good. I decided to try this place for my birthday and it's fair. The service is okay. We were seated at a table and waited about 10 mins before we were served. While we waited we were not offered anything to drink. I had to ask for some water-it was tap water served in a plastic glass. I was taken aback by the plastic glass, it took away from the setting of the table. The snacks were okay. I was looking forward to the scones but they were not as good as I had expected. However, I will say the tea was very good and Our server was nice and friendly. The ambience was nice with pleasant instrumental music. I think it's a nice afternoon tea for a first time tea person. She dropped off her food and server never once came back to check if everything was OK we had to wait for our bill 20 minutes. And I think the manager or the owner and oldest man with a British accent, was too busy, chatting up the table next to us to help her at all. I would like to add the owners response .
