I cannot have dairy and my son cannot have gluten. This place is great to accommodate both! They can do a gluten free and dairy free crepe with coconut. I ordered a single matcha latte (this is vegan). Amazing hospitality! Arigato Gozaimasu!!!

As an Orange County local who loves supporting small, LA-based chefs wherever I travel, finding this Japanese vegan, gluten-free gem in Kihei felt extra special. You can tell right away that there's so much intention behind everything here -- the team is incredibly polite, the space feels clean and welcoming, and the food is thoughtfully prepared with high-quality ingredients that leave you feeling light and nourished instead of weighed down. The portions come out small, but don't be fooled -- they're surprisingly filling. Everything tastes fresh and handmade, especially the sauces, which you can tell aren't shortcuts or things you could easily recreate at home. That level of care makes the experience feel truly authentic and unique. Their matcha latte is one of the cleanest I've had -- smooth, balanced, and not overly sweet. It perfectly matches the overall vibe: simple, health-conscious, and intentionally crafted. It's rare to find an authentic Japanese vegan spot that is also fully gluten-free, especially one that clearly handmakes so much from scratch. In many of my favorite travel destinations -- SF, Oahu, San Diego -- there's always that one standout clean, gluten-free Japanese place. This is Maui's version of that hidden gem. You can tell the owners are part of the modern, health-forward movement -- the kind of small business that sells out at farmers markets because people trust the quality. After the Lahaina fires in 2023, supporting small local businesses feels more important than ever. Places like this deserve to thrive. If you're in Kihei, this spot is too good not to share. A true hidden gem that feels like a nod in the right direction for where food culture is heading -- cleaner, kinder, and more intentional.

Our third time here and it keeps getting better. Maybe the best bites on Maui. So fresh. So healthy. So unique. The savory crepes might be our favorite thing. Period. Don't sleep on this tiny spot

I absolutely love this place! 100% gluten free and vegetarian. All food was great and the workers are so friendly. The crepes are sooo yummy. They just opened in October. Portions are a little small for the price but the quality makes it worth it

This cafe is appropriately named! Gluten free, vegetarian savory and sweet crepes are DELICIOUS. So are the bento bowls! Their coffee jelly is a delight. I've liked everything I've tried and I'm excited to eat my way through the menu. If you need something great to eat, home here!

This is a hidden gem, especially if you're looking for vegan food in Kihei! It's also gluten-free. Everyone needs to try this place, they put such love into their food and you feel so good after eating. Everything on the menu is delicious so you can't go wrong. Don't skip the Cone Salad, it's unlike anything you've ever tried. It's mainly savory but the Japanese sweet potatoes and the cone make it slightly sweet so it's the perfect combo. There is no seating inside, but don't let that stop you from eating here. There are a couple of benches outside or you could take your food across the street and have a picnic while looking at the beautiful ocean. This food is seriously the best!

Yuko and Rio put a lot of love into their very special culinary creations that are simultaneously delicious and healthful. Their food is so ono that some people might be surprised by how healthful it also happens to be. Don't think of it as "health food". Rather, it is super delicious food that happens to be very well priced and very good for you. Today, I had a wonderfully refreshing matcha iced tea on this very hot afternoon. It was perfect! I've eaten so many of their wonderful offerings from the crepes to mochi (coconut and coffee - each amazing!) and cones to soup. This place is truly Something Great Hawaii!

SOO GOOD& refreshing!!! Service was amazing! Matcha is yummy! Workers were very kind !

Mochi and Curry was so yammy!

They make unique Japanese menus with great Hawaiian and healthy real foods. So delicious! I had mochi and curry today. It was so good. Nice and spicy if you like spicy food! I head they blend spices on their own recipe. Must try!

    Inside maitaki crepe

It was our very first time visiting. We discovered it on a Monday when we were in Kihei. Needing gluten-free options. This felt like a wonderful discovery as the entire restaurant is GF.! We made a special trip to return for lunch. The trip was well worth it! The crêpes are lovely and thin. Our favorite was the roasted Maitake mushroom crêpe. We also enjoyed the eggplant and Tempe crêpe and cheese crêpe. All of them were good, but the Maitake mushroom was spectacular! Not quite done enjoying their wonderful Options, we shared a strawberry and chocolate dessert crêpe. The strawberries were wonderfully sweet and island grown in Kula. Chunks of chocolate and real whipped cream (vegan whipped cream was also an option.) made it a delightful end to a great meal. The owners are so kind and pleasant. While we waited for our dessert crêpe, we were also given samples of their homemade kombucha, one from root beer and the other from Chaga mushrooms. Bring your own container if you want to take some of the kombucha home. For sure we will do that next time! If you're in Kihei, or need gluten-free/vegetarian options, please visit this lovely place. They are near Lava Coffee and on the periphery of The Kihei marketplace.

    Gluten free chocolate strawberry crepe

The food was soooo good. They have gluten free options which is really amazing!! They are not just gluten free which is another huge win. The service is good the people in there are very nice. The ambiance is very nice the one flaw is there isn't rlly anywhere to sit down. There's one table right outside but you might have to grab and go. Totally worth it tho!!!

I have eaten many of their foods (they also have a booth at Saturday and Wednesday farmer's markets upcountry), and they are all so unique and delicious. I had mango crepe tonight for the first time. It was not so sweet, and the combinations of the whipped cream, local ripe mango and the nutty and slightly chewy crepe created something so special in my mouth. I'm definitely going back for their crepes!! Their menu is all GF and vegan options available. Oh and the price is so reasonable.

But afterwards we wandered back to share a dish, and settled upon the beef special since we hadn't had any all trip. I came with my boyfriend right after eating elsewhere but knew I had to try their Mai Tai. I'm from Ninth Island and definitely had to see what the hype was about. Entrance is on the second floor, I got greeted by the hosts right away. Excellent service right from the beginning; I had advised that I'm just here to drink so 2 seats at the bar would be perfect. Hosts did their best to find out and another employee had come out saying there was only 1 seat available. They said that we could sit at a table instead with a 10 min wait and they sat us sooner. We got a text that our table was ready, the hosts had us go inside to be seated and we got sat on their outside balcony areas. Great atmosphere with a waterfall right out front and the tiki torches were on. SHOUT OUT TO SIDNEY!! Absolutely amazing service from the get-go. She came over, asked if it was our first time and it was. She dived right into Monkeypod and what they were famous for and how all of their ingredients are locally sourced and everything is fresh. I went straight to the point and said we just wanted a few drinks and she took our order and drinks were brought out immediately after. Mai Tai was so good, I loved the flavor of the foam and definitely mixed it in after taking a couple of sips. My boyfriend got the Sour Ale? I think it was at the top beer on the menu, that was really good too! I'm not much of a beer girl but it had great flavor! On top of the service from the beginning, Sidney definitely ended our experience amazingly! I would love to come back again to try their food next time with another Mai Tai!
