While visiting the area for a running event, I stopped by this restaurant to see what food they had available. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Upon entering the restaurant, we enjoyed hearing upbeat music and hubby and I were warmly greeted by an employee named Josh.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Hubby informed the employee about his but allergy and the employee said the restaurant was but free except the peanut sauce in one of the menu items. After reviewing the menu, I decided to try their Asian teriyaki chicken rice bowl with nozzarella sticks and hubby ordered their pulled pork fries. In addition to our food, I ordered a Hawaiian sunset to drink which is their version of an Arnold Palmer and hubby ordered a lemonade. As we waited for our food to be ready, we noticed an area with non-food items for sale including glass cup, a shirt, a graphic similar to the on in the restaurant sitting area, and silverware. The nozzarella sticks were crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside and served with a side of marinara sauce. My Asian teriyaki chicken rice bowl was full and filling and I was shocked when I saw it not only contained full baby carrots. The pulled pork fries had the perfect balance of tenderness through the well seasoned pulled pork served on top of crunchy French fries. Since we at inside the restaurant, we appreciated Josh regularly checking in to ask how we were enjoying our meal as well as providing suggestions for other places in the area with vegan or plant based food options. Considering we were crunched for time, we took our food to go and similar to our first visit, the food was phenomenal. The chicken gyro was flavorful with several sauces and the onion rings were perfectly crunchy on the outside and the sauces Josh provided were creamy. Hubby's mind was blown away by the presentation of the avo toastie (he said this avocado toast was the best her ever had) and despite not being a big eater of sweets, he thoroughly enjoyed the crème brûlée which was soft and sweet. The food was pretty good - we've had the BRB burger, Gyro wrap, Moz sticks, Pulled Pork sandwich, Crispy Chicken sandwich, Fries and Nuggets and all items have been top notch. One of the only fully vegan places on the island. The service can be hit or miss though (and that's the reason for this 3 rating). On our last visit, I must've tipped less than what the host expected, so he felt the need to comment sarcastically "that's very kind of you". Came for dinner with my husband and parents--Mom is vegan, Dad and I are vegetarian, and husband is omnivorous. We were all really happy with the food! My father and I both got the pulled pork fries, my husband got the Thai tacos, and my mother got the fish & chips. The pulled pork sauce was a little spicy (I am a spice wimp), but really good! The faux pork seems like it's soy curls, but it had good flavor and was nicely textured. The Thai taco peanut sauce is delicious, and appears to also use the soy curl base. The fish & chips looks and tastes a lot like the Gardein brand fish, so if you like those, you'll like these. The tartar sauce tasted like tartar sauce (which isn't my favorite, personally, but it's what you expect from fish & chips), and my Mom liked it. I also got a Hawaiian Sunset lemonade drink, which was pretty good, and my parents got hot water and tea bags, since they wanted a warm drink. After a fun-filled afternoon of snorkeling at Molokini Crater, I was certainly hungry for an early dinner! For my meal, I got the pulled "pork" sandwich which was quite filling! This place is small with 2 tables that each seat 4 and a counter with 5 or 6 stools and 2 tables outside. So even if the place is small it seems to accommodate an ample amount of people. We had a very weird first visit. We love finding and supporting vegan restaurants and went in super excited. The restaurant closes at 8PM, and we got there at 7:10PM.
