    Beets goat cheese salad

Management never responded to me. It's been four years since they gave me tasteless old, dry steak, canned pineapple and mandarins, chewy old cashews, and cold hard bread. Still makes me nauseous thinking about it.

The food is fresh, and the atmosphere is clean and inviting. We used their order online and pick up in-store option, and it was very quick! It was a 15 minute drive after ordering, and I could walk in and grab my order and walk out. I hesitated because no one questioned me, but I guess: who's going to steal lettuce and veggies? I actually loved this online option and will likely return, using that same service. It was so fast and easy! My only disappointment was that their "Cobb" salad has NO chicken. Crazy. This is the second time, on Maui, that I've encountered this excuse of a "Cobb salad". The very definiton of a Cobb salad includes chicken as one of its ingredients. You cannot prove otherwise. Any chef or professional cook can tell you that. Even Wikipedia defines it as such. Yes, I have the add-on option of adding chicken, but I'd rather it *came with the chicken*, and yes, *go ahead and increase* the price for $5.00. I'll buy THAT Cobb Salad. No chicken? It's not a Cobb Salad. And if someone is going to tell me it's for the non-meat eaters, 'kay, fine, but then DO NOT call it a COBB SALAD. I'd allow the name of maybe an "Un-Cobb Salad". That would be fair. We might as well remove the bacon from Quiche Lorraine or add tomato slices to a Caesar Salad, and label the results as the same as the original - which no, they would not be that at all. LOL - I guess you could say, I love my salads. I still would return, though, for the quality of food and quick pick up service, and yes, I will grumpily add the chicken. I might even sigh and huff as I exit the restaurant. (To be clear, I wouldn't throw attitude at the serving staff. They just work as they are trained.)

Friendly staff, inviting restaurant, and delicious fresh ingredients. The lamb Chile is truly amazing. Hey lost in the richness of its flavor second to its deep robust colors and textures. This is 5-star flavor.

We love Fork and Salad. For salads, I've been gravitating to the Chinese Chicken salad, or Beet and Goat Cheese salad. If not wanting to eat a salad, I'll do a sandwich and soup combo with Baked Ahi Melt or Lemon &Thyme chicken sandwich with a cup of Bacon Clam chowder. My husband is a fan of the Greek salad with chicken as a salad or in a wrap. The kids love keiki Grilled cheese with a mini Caesar salad. Everything is fresh, flavorful, and vibrant. The employees are super helpful and friendly. They offer complimentary slices of sourdough if you request it, and the kim chee banana peppers and side salad accompany the sandwiches. Im really confused as to why there are barely any greens in my salad. There was barely any greens base of arugula and kale. I did pay extra for onions but this salad build was mostly toppings.. I really love the fresh greens here but they really need better service and training on how to build a salad. It's hit or miss every time I come here. I have to cross my fingers to get a perfect salad.

I am obsessed with anything local farm to table and anti-seed oils. This place hits the spot! I admittedly don't love salads, so I always get a sandwich from their menu. This time I got the eggplant one and it was delicious. All sandwiches I have gotten from here are VERY messy! But it's because they jam pack them with all of the ingredients so I welcome the mess. I wish I could bring my volunteer dogs in here (they're very adamant with the no pet signs) but otherwise it's a great meal.

Fork & Salad is my guilty pleasure, withOUT the guilt! LOL It is my go-to fresh and local spot to support. When you walk in, you are greeted with the awesome staff who are always there to help. Fork & Salad has a great menu filled with variety. I especially love their wraps, maybe because it reminds me of a healthy burrito but wow they stuff it with all the goods that you need to satisfy your cravings. Pictured in the review, I got the eggplant and goat cheese wrap. The goat cheese and eggplant balance one another, it is a combo that works and is very filling. I love supporting Fork & Salad because they specialize in fresh locally grown ingredients, which in turn helps our local economy. Always support local! #EatLocalEatHealthy

Whenever we visit Maui to babysit, our daughter keeps reminding me to eat healthy, as I'm actively waiting on the kidney transplant list. While I'm seeking my longtime iconic favorites in Maui, she'll encourage me to put Fork and Salad on the rotation list. It was never a high priority must-go, but I now admit that it's a delicious, healthy and wise choice that should be at the top of my list. This review is for the Kahului location. Fork and Salad was founded by chef-surfer owners Jaron Blosser, Cody Christopher, and Travis Morrin in 2016 in Kihei, with a 2nd location in Kahului in 2018. If these chef-owners sound familiar, they are, as they also started the iconic and casual Three's Bar and Grill in Kihei in 2009, specializing in Hawaiian, Southwestern, and Pacific Rim cuisine. Fork and Salad provides healthy, quick and convenient farm-to-table cuisine and serves chef-and Island-inspired salads, grain bowls, sandwiches, soups, and drinks. Produce and meats are sourced from local farmers. With about 50+ ingredients that are sourced by about 25 local suppliers, you can build your own salad + 5 toppings for one price: * Choose your base: greens (spinach, kale, romaine, spring mix, argula); or grains (quinoa and cabbage, health grain mix and romaine). * Choose your housemade dressing: cilantro-smoked chili, miso ginger, roasted argic balsamic, Green Goddess, Meyer lemon-herb Caesar; papaya seed, Thai lemongrass, avocado-lime. * Choose from numerous topping ingredients, e.g., veggies (beet, chickpea, edamame, mushroom, cucumber, garlic chip, kimchee banana pepper and broccoli, sprout, sweet potato, radish, tomato, carrot, cilantro & mint, olive, cabbage, onion, eggplant); fruits (avocado, watermelon, papaya, dried cranberry, mandarin orange, apple, strawberry, pineapple, raisin); cheeses (blue, feta, cheddar, goat, Parmesan); nuts (almond, cashew); misc (grain mix, seeds, bee pollen, yeast, wasabi pea, quinoa, crouton, boiled egg). * Add a protein at an extra cost: lemon-herb chicken, citrus poached shrimp, ginger baked tofu, baked quinoa falafel, baked ahi belly, ancho chile steak. Other choices include: * Signature salad of specific ingredients and made to order: Caesar, Greek, beet & goat cheese, watermelon & feta, Thai, Cobb, Maui Goddess, Super Salad, Paniolo and Papaya Dream Salad. * Grain bowls: ancient, summer, and Buddha bowl that have quinoa and various ingredients. * Sandwiches: lemon & thyme chicken, smoky papaya chicken, shrimp & avocado club, baked falafel & quinoa, baked ahi melt, ancho chile-seasoned steak, eggplant & goat cheese. * Soups (in cup or bowl): tomato bisque, lamb chili, coconut butternut squash, bacon clam chowder. * Combos: soup & salad, soup & sandwich. * Drinks: kombucha, iced tea, lemonade. Sorry, so soda. * Dessert: gluten free chocolate chip cookies. * Kids' menu (w/ fruit cup or house salad): cheese &/or chicken quesadilla, grilled cheese sandwich, chicken/shrimp quinoa. It sounded too complicated to build my own salad, as there were too many choices. Until I become familiar with their offerings, I chose the following signature salads that made for several meals: * Maui Goddess. This delicious salad had romaine, apples, strawberries, purple sweet potatoes, cashews, curry golden raisins, blue cheese, and a creamy green goddess dressing. I subbed mushrooms instead of blue cheese. All items were very fresh and complemented each other well. * Cobb. Delicious as well, this salad had romaine, bacon, blue cheese crumbles, avocado, boiled egg, kimchee broccoli, tomatoes with the creamy green goddess dressing. Requested this be in a wrap, with the overflow as a side salad. Friendly staff was accommodating and happy to make substitutions; however, wished staff could be a little more helpful when I was overwhelmed with all the ingredients. They could provide suggestions as to which ingredients worked well with others or what could be substituted, and instead, I ended up arbitrarily choosing items that I was uncertain of. Self-serve water is available. Dine-in or take-out. Hours of operation are daily from 10:30a to 8:30p. Located in the Pu'unene Shopping Center, Fork and Salad shares free parking with Target. Discounts are available: enroll in 5-Star Reward Program for future discounts, do 15 jumping jacks in the store (!), provide proof of gym membership with purchase after 3p, or access promotional discounts on their app. I loved the variety of choices for eating healthy, as there is something for everyone! I look forward to making my own salads and trying other signature salads, as well as their soups and sandwiches. Kudos to the local chef owners who saw the potential of farm-to-table healthy eating, as I would have thought this concept would have been originated on the Mainland. As I patiently wait for my kidney transplant call, at least my daughter is happy that I give Fork and Salad a thumbs-up in supporting local and eating wisely.

We had the Nutella and the Lilikoi, and they are absolute units--massive, beautiful and perfectly executed. The pastry is light and incredibly fluffy, but stays dense and decadent because they don't skimp on the filling (it's actually in the center, not just a garnish on top!). The Lilikoi was a total standout--bright, fresh, and perfectly tart. I found myself breaking off the flaky layers just to dip them into that golden center. I've tried it with both oat milk and whole milk, and surprisingly, I prefer the oat milk version. It gives the drink a thicker, creamier texture and really lets the ube flavor shine over the matcha (which I love). The drinks come in pretty generous sizes -- 20oz or 24oz -- though I'd personally love to see a 16oz option for iced drinks. I've yet to finish a full 20oz before the caffeine buzz kicks in! My only other suggestion would be to add a touch more ice as it often melts before I can even get to my office. It's usually hard for me to pick something out of a line up of restaurants I've already tried before. So this time was easy. A name I didn't recognize appeared on my screen. Plus since I always want to try something new. Let's see what Hangry Joe's Hot Chicken has to offer this not so hangry yet, girl. So far so good, their stock photos look appetizing. I already picked out a list of items I'd like to try like the: Chicken Sando, Chicken Fingers, Chicken Wrap, Loaded Fries, Salad w/ Chicken Breast as well as the Loaded Mac & Cheese. As for my first visit I chose to try the Loaded Fries with Medium heat & my fiancé chose the Chicken Bites in Mild. Just to be on the safe side when trying out new restaurants as to what they consider to be spicy. I'll usually start in the middle & work my way up on spice. Mild or medium didn't have that kick I was looking for so I'll try hot on my next visit. Just not sure which item will win my pick just yet. However I am a fan of their logo & overall atmosphere. It's a fun restaurant to order at. They have 3 self serve kiosks to order from. The two on the outside are for ordering Hangry Joe's Hot Chicken & the one in the middle is for ordering off of the dessert menu. Which being that I'm usually not one to order soda. I was extremely excited to have an option to order a Thai Tea Boba from here too. So there's still plenty from their treat menu that I'm eager to try as well. My only suggestion I can think of is maybe having different size options to choose from. Cause my loaded fries came in a massive box. It was enough to feed me for 3 meals, breakfast, lunch & dinner. Dating tips: If you're on a budget take your light eater here for an inexpensive date & just take your leftovers to go. Overall my first experience was a good one & I'll work on getting my spicy lovers to sample Angry Hot. Until next time. XOXO, ChelsieFletcher
