I'm a long-term customer of this food truck and it appears that there has been some good changes recently. There's a new kitchen team and the food that I ate tonight the chicken platter, the baba ghanoush, and the Domas tasted fresh and authentic. I was the last order of the night as I got home a little late from work and decided I didn't feel like cooking. This place is a great resource for someone who lives in Haiku. Although it's a food truck, the woman who picks up the phone, reminds me more of a is the Matron of the house. She took my order and sold me appropriate way and was pleasant. My food was ready in a relatively timely manner, and they have made some improvements to the seating area. There's new lighting and sun coverings over the tables and there is a new sign painted on both sides of the food truck which I posted some photos of. I was a little concerned because I felt like the quality of the food and service had slipped Over the last few months, It has returned to traditionally high standards of Mediterranean food in Maui. read more

I had a craving for Mediterranean food today and have ordered food from this food truck before and have been a fan. I used to feel like it was a good deal for what you were getting. Sadly over the years the portions have been cut back little by little. I was still ok with it but I ordered from them today and sadly I don't feel like I am getting my moneys worth. The portions have gotten very small and the price for my plate was almost $23 dollars. I mean even the salad was a minute portion and did not have all of the flavor that it used to the rice was not even warm and a little crunchy. And it was maybe 4 tiny pieces of pita bread even the gyro meat was not as good as previously. The service was ok. The guy was pleasant enough. As for the decor it's a food truck with a few outdoor seats. So overall I felt disappointed. read more

Finally found some pretty good food on Maui. This spot was way better than others I've tried. I was delighted with the chicken shawarma and falafel, the kind lady answering the phone and the food tasting fresher than most restaurants. No wilted veggies here, everything was as fresh as can be on a Friday night. Overall I was impressed and would call this a safe place. They have a more formal presence in Kihei with belly dancing and all the customers dressed in Moroccan robes. I hope to go soon. read more

I absolutely love everything about this place. The food is fresh and clean, not greasy and you can tell that the ingredients are prepared with care. I love the warm pita. The tzatziki sauce is tangy and garlicky and you can tell that it's fresh dill that's used, which is pretty rare in in the Mediterranean foods. While it may be a little pricey, it still falls right into the range of everywhere else be it fast food or fresh food, but I would definitely repeat. My enjoyment was too great. The kids loved everything, especially the falafel which tasted different than last time. And better I might add and everything was delicious as usual when washed down with some fresh baklava. The only change that I can say needs to happen is to offer tabouli on the menu. It is a standard Lebanese dish and one that fresh and clean on the pallet but as far as finding anything wrong with the Mediterranean grill I cannot except maybe that they would be open on Monday and Tuesday lol. If you want a good meal, I'd even travel from Kihei on occasion to visit. It's a great place with great staff. Excellent food and a new ambiance with their seating area and garden. This truck is cravable! I've been returning for the chicken shawarma plate every week. Love the hot sauce and garlic sauce. Everything put on this plate is magic. Also, the cashiers/staff are so friendly and quick in preparing your order. It's a casual food truck at the Ha'iku Cannery that has a seated area for eating. The shaded area is minimal so prepare for that. Well worth stopping by to try their flavorful food and meet their great staff. read more

This was the best Mediterranean food. They gyros were melt in your mouth fresh, the best we have ever had. The chicken Shawarma was also excellent, very juicy. The rice was perfectly cooked, the hummus was thick and rich and the salad was really good, fresh local lettuce and tomato and a very mild dressing. The chicken plate comes with a tahini sauce which was excellent, while the gyro has tzatziki style sauce. Definitely stop at this food truck if you are in the upcountry. read more

Mediterranean grill I hired them to cater my baby shower and it was a highlight of the party!! The food was so yummy and delicious, everyone loved it including the kiddos!!! Ok, I'm A gyro fan and haven't had one in a couple years since I went to Doner Shack in Chinatown on Oahu. This gyro is just as good in taste but it's a bit smaller and pricier but that's to be expected from Food Trucks do no big deal.
