I love her food the bread is amazing one of my favorite is the amazing goat cheese with the Sweet challah bread, the eggplant spread is great to ! I love the red sauce is great with edges for breakfast ! The morning pastry with the berry is great to!

Some bread options. She doesn't put them all out. She keep bread warm and dips chilled.

Met the owner/chef at the Napili Farmer's Market. Really interesting and delicious food, and fantastic garlic focaccia.

They never answer their phone . Not sure if they're even open for business. Good Indian food is much needed on the west side of Maui.

What a hidden gem! How did I not know about this place sooner?! Vibe was chill and casual…read more Being on vacation, it was so nice to find amazing Persian food right here in Honolulu. Everything was fresh, delicious, and full of flavor. The service was great, and the staff was super sweet and welcoming. We ordered the Gheymeh, Ghormeh Sabzi, beef & lamb kabob, and chicken jujeh kabob--and all I can say is... the plates were CLEAN! Every single thing was delicious. And I can't forget the salad and that dressing! So good! I will definitely be back whenever I'm in Honolulu. If you're looking for really good Persian/Middle Eastern food, Bar Koko is a MUST! Highly recommend.

We ordered quite a bit: Hummus Garden: Hummus topped with olives. I'm not a huge olive person, so I do wonder if I would've liked one of the other hummus options better. I've had mezze platters at places like Istanbul, and I think I prefer that style of hummus. Kashk-e Bademjan: This was the eggplant dip and surprisingly, I liked it! I'm definitely not an eggplant girlie, but it was warm, comforting, and had a really homey feel to it. Royal Koobideh Kabob: The beef and lamb were tasty, but a little too salty for me. I definitely needed the rice with it. The meat was thicker and really soft. I think I might prefer gyro meat, but that could also just be because it's what I'm more used to. Vaziry Duo Kabob: Since we already got the Royal Koobideh, we kind of wished this came with two chicken kabobs instead The chicken was good, but nothing particularly stood out to me about this dish. Braised Lamb Shank: This was nice to try, but honestly I almost forgot to include it in this review, which probably says something I was hoping it would stand out a little more, but it just wasn't as memorable as I expected. It wasn't bad by any means, and I'd order it again, but it's not something I left craving. Eggplant Stew: Once again, I'm not an eggplant person, but this was unique! It was warm with little pieces of beef, and I actually kind of liked it. For drinks, we tried three: The Golden Hour: Easily my favorite of the three. It had a honey-like flavor that I enjoyed. Sekanjabin Twist: This had cucumber and was a little sweeter and refreshing. It was good, but I still preferred the Golden Hour. Doogh: Okay, this was an experience It reminded us of tzatziki sauce in drink form. Very salty and definitely not something we were used to. We couldn't finish it. Overall, I wasn't completely sold on the drinks and probably wouldn't order them again, but if I did, I'd get the Golden Hour. Atmosphere and service: It's a cute, smaller restaurant and it was pretty busy when we went. It seemed like they might have been short staffed that day, but our waitress was really sweet and did her best, so no complaints there. Overall, I'm really glad I tried Persian food! There wasn't necessarily anything I left craving afterward, so I'm not sure this will become part of my regular restaurant rotation, but it was a fun experience and I'm happy I went.

I am so glad that we finally visited Yamas; it is located in the Enchanted Lake Shopping Center in…read moreKailua with lots of free parking. The restaurant is super clean and spacious, and they play some awesome classic rock music. You order and pay at the counter and they will bring you the food; the lady at the counter was extremely friendly and very efficient. You need to bus your own table when you're done, just place the used dishes, glasses and utensils in the labeled plastic tubs, not a big deal at all. Now, the food is the star. We order baba ganoush with pita, super gyro with zucchini fries, and a soup and salad combo. The baba ganoush was so delicious, and the pita was warm and soft. The super gyro has so much yummy meat in it that the pita can hardly hold them, and the zucchini fries were crispy and not oily. It also comes with a couple really good tzatziki sauces. My wife really enjoyed the avgolemono (lemon and chicken) soup and greek salad. She was so pleased with the combo that she had to order an extra takeout combo for her friend to try. On top of all that, we finished our great meal with a baklava sundae; two fresh crispy baklava pastries with a scoop of vanilla ice cream drizzled with cinnamon and honey. This desert is a must order. The restaurant is mixed in with a lot of other restaurants and shops in a large strip mall, so it maybe easy to miss. The prices are really reasonable and the portions are good. If you like Mediterranean food; this is the place. You will love it.

My wife enjoyed our meal at Yama's a couple of days ago and really enjoyed the food. We started…read morewith the dalmas (stuffed grape leaves), which had good flavor while a bit too mushy for our taste. We each ordered gyros. My wife also had garlic fries and I had the baba ganoush. We also both added on the spanakopitas, which are huge, and the flaky pastry was amazing. The fries we cooked well with a crisp outside and a soft, fluffy inside. The only suggestion might be to sauté the garlic as it was a bit strong. The gyros had soft pita bread and meat very flavorful with perfect tsatziki sauce. I do want to add as a person close to many blind individuals, I know businesses are allowed to ask two questions about SERVICE animals: (1) is the dog a service animal required because of a disability, and (2) what work or task has the dog been trained to perform (copied directly from the the ada.gov website). Based on another reviewer (who gave 1 star), the restaurant asked the correct (legal) question. They should be complimented for following the law.
