Me and my little sidekick in Hawaii!

Le Bazaar Restaurant was easily one of the best meals we had in Maui. The vibe is fun, stylish, and relaxed--upscale but not stiff, with great energy from the moment you walk in. The food was incredible. Every dish came out looking great and tasting even better. There's a prix fixe menu, which makes the whole experience feel curated without being overwhelming, and everything we tried was packed with flavor and clearly made with care. Fresh ingredients, bold combinations, and nothing felt overdone. One of the coolest surprises was the live belly dancer, which added an unexpected and entertaining touch to the night without taking away from the dining experience. It really elevated the atmosphere and made the evening feel special. Service was spot on--friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable without hovering. The staff was great with recommendations and made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. If you're in Maui and want amazing food, a great vibe, and a little extra flair, Bazaar is absolutely worth it. Would 100% go back and again!!

We simply don't have great Moroccan food near us, so were really excited to try this spot, and it was 100% worth it to make the 1.5 hr round trip drive from our hotel. Our service from Salma was excellent, she was a charming host, and the atmosphere is great. Our food was all very good. Out Lamb Tagine and cous cous dishes were very salty, but still good. B'stella was very tasty and something we have missed. Love that dish! Le Bazaar is an excellent choice for all sized groups and super fun for special occasions!

I thought this place might be kitschy but it was actually great. The people were awesome, the food was delicious, and it felt like a real introduction to Moroccan food and culture. The pre fixe meal is $89 per person, but the vegan option is $69 and it was so so good! First course is a soup thats vegan by default, tasted like a good hearty tomato-based chowder or stew but without meat Then there's a platter of "salads" that reminded me of Ethiopian food. 3 cooked soft dishes and then some seasoned carrots, with a bread to scoop it all up and eat with your fingers (no utensils). Then you get this incredible phyllo-dough incased savory-sweet course. It's traditionally filled with nuts, chicken, and egg, but the vegan version had tofu egg and TVP with the nuts. It was so flavorful and different and awesome. Main course is a shared platter of couscous and then meat-eaters pick their protein, veg get flavorful roasted veggies. Dessert is a tray of assorted pastries, sadly none of which are vegan. But you also get a post-dinner hot mint tea that's slightly sweet and floral. It was unlike anything I've had before and I really liked it. You are invited to put on Moroccan clothing over your own for the meal, and there is a belly dancer performance but it's very impressive and fun and involves cool lights and balancing a sword. This was our first time and I'd go back! Our server was also super sweet and accommodating.

Awesome journey through various moroccan foods. Our guide was super kind and explained all of the dishes to us. The B'Stella was so unique. When it comes out, it almost seems like a dessert, because all you can smell is the phyllo dough, powdered sugar, and cinnamon. But when you cut it open, all the savory spices inside somehow mesh perfectly with the sweet scents?? The scent was almost better than the taste, so really impressed with this one. This restaurant really excels at balancing sweet and savory, including the lamb tagine (made with prunes) and the butternut squash salad/dip. Loved all the new flavors I got to experience!

If you've never tried Moroccan food before then you should definitely give it a try. It was a first for us and we were all pleased with the experience. I love the atmosphere as the place is decorated with authentic furniture and fabrics that take you to another country. Get in the mood with a Moroccan coverup. The food was awesome even for my spouse who is not a brave eater. Our vegan friend was in heaven. So many delicious unique flavors, and so much food that we were all stuffed and had leftovers to take home. These were dishes I have never tasted before and now I'm curious to replicate. Our host was friendly and helpful, and the belly dancer was fun. I highly recommend dining here.

Some restaurants have atmosphere, but the food is meh. Some restaurants have good food, but the service and setting leave you cold. Not Le Bazaar--this restaurant has warm hospitality, delicious food, and delightful entertainment. It is well worth a night out on Maui. After being greeted and shown to our table, we were offered the opportunity to slip into a Moroccan robe and fez, if we wished. We then engaged in a brief hand washing ritual with warm orange blossom water. Le Bazaar serves six courses. Most are set, but you have a choice of protein for your main course. The meal begins with three starters: a tomato-based soup, wonderful soft bread with a trio of salads (that are like spreads), and a baked phylo dish called b'Stella. All of the starters were delicious, but the b'Stella is especially unique. The filling is savory, but the phylo is dusted with cinnamon and powdered sugar. The savory-sweet combination is divine! The main course is a tagine. We had the fish and the other couple with us had the chicken. Our fish was very tender and flavorful. You can get fish everywhere on Maui, but it isn't prepared like this. It was special. The other couple said it was the best chicken they ever had--it fell off the bone it was so tender. The main course is served with couscous and vegetables. The meal finishes with Moroccan cookies and a sweet minted-orange blossom tea. Delicious. A belly dancer performed two dances toward the end of our meal and on our way out we were sprinkled with orange blossom water. Le Bazaar is well worth the $89 per person. Portions are generous (I was full after the starters!), the food is delicious, and the experience is special.

Food was so good! Fun experience with belly dancer who was excellent and very friendly owners/staff!

This is an amazing Middle Eastern restaurant in Azeka Marketplace where Bank of Hawai'i is located. You can bring your own alcohol, and there is no corkage fee. Once you step in the doors you are swept away to Morocco. The six course meal is an excellent option. However, you can also order ala carte. We started our meal with the Harira soup, which was very refreshing and a must for the first course. The second course was a salad with four different vegetables that are eaten with bread. (No utensils provided.) the second appetizer and third course was the b'stella which is a savory and sweet baked chicken pastry topped with powdered sugar and cinnamon. Our main courses were a flurry of chicken, beef, lamb, and fish that were all excellent in presentation, taste, and uniqueness.

What an amazing restaurant. Great service, great dinner. Awesome food for the value? You cannot beat it. Belly dancing was awesome. The ambiance was spectacular.I'd give it a ten out of ten.We definitely will be going back.

I just ate here last Saturday night. As an LA native that now lives in Maui, I was so excited to find some global cuisine coming to our little island! I did not realize it was a prix-fixe menu, which was a little disheartening, but we went through with our reservation. Some lady gave the restaurant 2 stars on Google because she also didn't read about the menu, walked in, and left, complaining it's not "for locals." A private establishment can legally open whatever business they'd like. If you are not a fan of the pricing or cannot afford it, there's no reason to bash the business. Just quietly leave the establishment and move on with your life. Anyway, we walked into the beautifully decorated eatery in the Azeka Maui plaza, next to the ProArts shops. Everything is so pretty, definitely feel like you are in a big city. 5/5 for the decor and vibes. We got seated immediately for our reservation and were greeted. Ambiance is vibrant and lively with music playing. It was day 3, so I was expecting some delays/hiccups, but unfortunately they were pretty common throughout the night. We left 150 minutes after we sat down. While they applied a 15% kamaaina, I was hoping the managers would also apply another discount due to the hiccups they were experiencing. The prix fixe menu for $89, is pretty decent for what they offer, but also restricts how many times people can visit the restaurant. There was plenty of food, but it all came out at inconsistent times and sometimes less than hot. They had a wonderful live entertainer that performed two sets. They provide a rose water hand bath in the beginning, mint tea at the end as well as some desserts. Overall, I would hope they work to improve the timing of the delivery of their various dishes as well as have their staff check on their guests in a more timely manner. Hopefully they can make the prix fixe an option and allow guests to order smaller dishes or a la carte in the future.

Had the best time celebrating my 60th birthday at Le Bazaar with 14 ladies. We had fun dressing in Moroccan attire, eating delicious Moroccan food, and watching the amazing belly dance performances. The service could not have been better. It was the perfect evening on Maui.

Le Bazaar is a one of a kind experience that you can't get anywhere else on Maui! The owners have brought such a unique experience to Maui and it was so fun and the food was amazing. Moroccan dishes are definitely unique but every dish was so palatable and so delicious. I will forever be dreaming about the lamb dish and the pastilla- which is a special dish served at Moroccan weddings. It is a great place to get together with family and friends. Service is so awesome and you can tell how much love and care they put into presenting each dish. Dinner also comes with a belly dancing show and traditional moroccan attire to wear during dinner to really elevate the experience!

Wow this place is an experience!! For starters the ambiance of Le Bazaar is spectacular! As soon as you walk in you are transported to Morocco, the they have tons of beautiful artwork and light fixtures. The food: you get so much for the price, also the owner mentioned that everything is completely fresh and organic. The food has so many unique different flavors, the soup was a delicious blend of cozy and warming flavors, the La'stella was nothing like I have ever tried but it seriously blew me away! My favorite main dish was the lamb but you can't go wrong with any of them. They are all cooked to perfection, they are decadent in flavor, so tender, and large portions. To end the food they have a couple of different cookies and some very yummy mint/green tea. The service was incredible, the owner Rick was incredibly kind as well as our server. You get to pick out an outfit, they have great music, and they even have belly dancing! What an awesome spot, I've truly never been so blown away.

We had Dal Makhani, Chicken Vindaloo, Saag Paneer, Chicken Biryani and a variety of Naans. All the dishes were very tasty. The food is Indian spicy (not American spicy) so Medium was enough heat for us so kids could eat it too. After we were done eating, we wanted boxes to go and to pay. However, given that they were short staffed, the server did not come to our table since he was taking orders/fending off unreasonable requests by someone who wanted a preferential treatment over the rest of the families waiting patiently in line. I ended up going in the back near the kitchen and one of the other servers was nice enough to hand me the boxes. Also had to go find my server to pay the check. As another yelper said- Food 5/5, Ambience 4/5 and Service 3/5. I would recommend to come at early dinner time - right around when they open so you can secure a spot. My mom chose the chicken kabob plate, a hearty dish with tender chicken skewers, rice, grilled vegetables, pita, and tzatziki -- filling and well-seasoned. I had the American Greek Salad, loaded with fresh vegetables, feta, and pita on the side. It was light, fresh, and satisfying. We shared the baklava ice cream cake for dessert -- a real highlight. The layers of baklava with creamy vanilla ice cream were absolutely delicious, and the drizzle of syrup tied it all together. The next items that we ordered were two chilled oysters ($7/piece), and a hamachi + uni citrus salad ($14). Since we were dining as a couple, our server informed us that we could actually order half-portions of some of the dishes. This was a perfect way to not fill-up before our mains arrived, so we did that for both the salad and the gyozas. The uni in the salad was melt in your mouth tender and had a delicious sweetness to it. I thought the hamachi in the salad was a bit unremarkable: it was certainly fresh and there were two generously sized pieces in the dish, but the fish definitely needed a bit more salt to it. Our next and last appetizer to arrive was the beef and foie gras gyoza ($7/piece). The chili garlic ponzu sauce the gyoza is resting leans towards the sour side, but that's my personal preference when it comes to dumpling sauces so I really enjoyed it. The filling inside the gyoza was on the leaner side compared to your typical pork and cabbage dumpling, but I didn't mind this too much since there was so much sauce in the bowl to accommodate the dumpling. The next four items we ordered all arrived together: the garlic fried rice ($32), the Kona kanpachi ($67), the Iberico char siu pork ($65), and the side of sugar snap peas ($22). Of these items, my favorite bites were the Iberico pork followed closely by the garlic fried rice and the sugar snap peas. If we could've ordered one fewer dish, it definitely would have been the Kona kanpachi. While the fish was flakey tender and the the skin was cooked to be perfectly crunchy, the portion size was far too large for two, and I thought the coconut ginger sauce felt a bit diluted and not as flavorful as advertised. I wish our server warned us that we had ordered way too much food, because we brought 85% of this dish home as leftovers. While I don't necessarily mind having leftovers, having leftovers on vacation -- with less than ideal heating methods available (i.e. hotel microwave), is not great. Overall, I couldn't help but feel this dish was somewhat a waste of money for the two of us. On the other hand, the Iberico char siu is a dish I'd order again and again if I were to come back. The pork was lean and grilled to perfection. The charred end pieces were some of my favorite bites of the night. I didn't miss the fatty bits that are typically present on a piece of char siu pork, and the mustard that accompanied the dish was not over the top spicy like some of the mustards you find at dim sum restaurants. The garlic fried rice was packed with so much garlic flavor. One criticism I had with the dish though is I wish the hot sizzling plate the dish was served on was even hotter. The rice that was in contact with the plate didn't crisp up in the same way that it would with a Korean bibimbap served in a hot stone bowl, or the socarrat at the bottom of a Spanish paella. Nonetheless, the dish was well-seasoned. If you want to save a bit on carbs and not fill up, you might want to skip this dish. Overall, the dining under the stars experience at Canoe House is hard to beat. The service is incredible, the included validated valet parking experience is seamless, the ambience of the hotel where the restaurant is located is breathtaking, and Chef Rhoda has really done an wonderful job with the vast majority of the items we tried. I would not hesitate to recommend Canoe House for celebrating a special occasion if you're visiting Hawaiʻi.

Holy cow... the flavors were so unique and I've never had something like this before. You'd think…read moreyou tasted similar things since it's all the same sauce bases but they pair it so perfectly together to make a delicious dish. The red cabbage salad had a yuzu/soy dressing and came with dates. So. Good. I assumed it was overpriced for a salad with so little but honestly it shined. The pull apart bread was good and warm but nothing special. Filling! The garlic fried rice? Idk how they make it so good it sounds so basic but it was the perfect seasonings where you don't feel the icky garlic breath but each bite was so savory and yum! Mahi mahi dish - the roasted carrots were my absolute favorite. How do they carmelize them that well idk, The pork dish was also killer. I loved the yuzu mustard sauce and the pork was super tender and juicy. Again, not usually a pork fan but this one nailed it!! Friendly staff - they were very attentive and helped clean up a spill that we accidentally made within a matter of seconds :-) thanks!
