We simply don't have great Moroccan food near us, so were really excited to try this spot, and it was 100% worth it to make the 1.5 hr round trip drive from our hotel. Our service from Salma was excellent, she was a charming host, and the atmosphere is great. Our food was all very good. Out Lamb Tagine and cous cous dishes were very salty, but still good. B'stella was very tasty and something we have missed. Love that dish! Le Bazaar is an excellent choice for all sized groups and super fun for special occasions!

I thought this place might be kitschy but it was actually great. The people were awesome, the food was delicious, and it felt like a real introduction to Moroccan food and culture. The pre fixe meal is $89 per person, but the vegan option is $69 and it was so so good! First course is a soup thats vegan by default, tasted like a good hearty tomato-based chowder or stew but without meat Then there's a platter of "salads" that reminded me of Ethiopian food. 3 cooked soft dishes and then some seasoned carrots, with a bread to scoop it all up and eat with your fingers (no utensils). Then you get this incredible phyllo-dough incased savory-sweet course. It's traditionally filled with nuts, chicken, and egg, but the vegan version had tofu egg and TVP with the nuts. It was so flavorful and different and awesome. Main course is a shared platter of couscous and then meat-eaters pick their protein, veg get flavorful roasted veggies. Dessert is a tray of assorted pastries, sadly none of which are vegan. But you also get a post-dinner hot mint tea that's slightly sweet and floral. It was unlike anything I've had before and I really liked it. You are invited to put on Moroccan clothing over your own for the meal, and there is a belly dancer performance but it's very impressive and fun and involves cool lights and balancing a sword. This was our first time and I'd go back! Our server was also super sweet and accommodating.

Awesome journey through various moroccan foods. Our guide was super kind and explained all of the dishes to us. The B'Stella was so unique. When it comes out, it almost seems like a dessert, because all you can smell is the phyllo dough, powdered sugar, and cinnamon. But when you cut it open, all the savory spices inside somehow mesh perfectly with the sweet scents?? The scent was almost better than the taste, so really impressed with this one. This restaurant really excels at balancing sweet and savory, including the lamb tagine (made with prunes) and the butternut squash salad/dip. Loved all the new flavors I got to experience!

If you've never tried Moroccan food before then you should definitely give it a try. It was a first for us and we were all pleased with the experience. I love the atmosphere as the place is decorated with authentic furniture and fabrics that take you to another country. Get in the mood with a Moroccan coverup. The food was awesome even for my spouse who is not a brave eater. Our vegan friend was in heaven. So many delicious unique flavors, and so much food that we were all stuffed and had leftovers to take home. These were dishes I have never tasted before and now I'm curious to replicate. Our host was friendly and helpful, and the belly dancer was fun. I highly recommend dining here.

Le Bazaar in Maui was an absolute DREAM of a dining experience. From the moment we walked in, everything was perfection. We got changed into their cultural clothing, then began the ambiance, the energy, the service, and most importantly, the food. Every dish was beyond amazing, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor. Truly one of those meals you don't stop thinking about afterward. Amber and Edwin made the experience unforgettable. They were warm, attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely kind. The kind of servers who elevate the entire night and make you feel so well taken care of. Their recommendations were spot-on, and their hospitality was top-tier. From start to finish, the experience was flawless. Incredible food, incredible service, incredible vibes. I would highly recommend Le Bazaar to anyone visiting Maui a must-visit!

Some restaurants have atmosphere, but the food is meh. Some restaurants have good food, but the service and setting leave you cold. Not Le Bazaar--this restaurant has warm hospitality, delicious food, and delightful entertainment. It is well worth a night out on Maui. After being greeted and shown to our table, we were offered the opportunity to slip into a Moroccan robe and fez, if we wished. We then engaged in a brief hand washing ritual with warm orange blossom water. Le Bazaar serves six courses. Most are set, but you have a choice of protein for your main course. The meal begins with three starters: a tomato-based soup, wonderful soft bread with a trio of salads (that are like spreads), and a baked phylo dish called b'Stella. All of the starters were delicious, but the b'Stella is especially unique. The filling is savory, but the phylo is dusted with cinnamon and powdered sugar. The savory-sweet combination is divine! The main course is a tagine. We had the fish and the other couple with us had the chicken. Our fish was very tender and flavorful. You can get fish everywhere on Maui, but it isn't prepared like this. It was special. The other couple said it was the best chicken they ever had--it fell off the bone it was so tender. The main course is served with couscous and vegetables. The meal finishes with Moroccan cookies and a sweet minted-orange blossom tea. Delicious. A belly dancer performed two dances toward the end of our meal and on our way out we were sprinkled with orange blossom water. Le Bazaar is well worth the $89 per person. Portions are generous (I was full after the starters!), the food is delicious, and the experience is special.

This is an amazing Middle Eastern restaurant in Azeka Marketplace where Bank of Hawai'i is located. You can bring your own alcohol, and there is no corkage fee. Once you step in the doors you are swept away to Morocco. The six course meal is an excellent option. However, you can also order ala carte. We started our meal with the Harira soup, which was very refreshing and a must for the first course. The second course was a salad with four different vegetables that are eaten with bread. (No utensils provided.) the second appetizer and third course was the b'stella which is a savory and sweet baked chicken pastry topped with powdered sugar and cinnamon. Our main courses were a flurry of chicken, beef, lamb, and fish that were all excellent in presentation, taste, and uniqueness.

Food was so good! Fun experience with belly dancer who was excellent and very friendly owners/staff!

What an amazing restaurant. Great service, great dinner. Awesome food for the value? You cannot beat it. Belly dancing was awesome. The ambiance was spectacular.I'd give it a ten out of ten.We definitely will be going back.

I just ate here last Saturday night. As an LA native that now lives in Maui, I was so excited to find some global cuisine coming to our little island! I did not realize it was a prix-fixe menu, which was a little disheartening, but we went through with our reservation. Some lady gave the restaurant 2 stars on Google because she also didn't read about the menu, walked in, and left, complaining it's not "for locals." A private establishment can legally open whatever business they'd like. If you are not a fan of the pricing or cannot afford it, there's no reason to bash the business. Just quietly leave the establishment and move on with your life. Anyway, we walked into the beautifully decorated eatery in the Azeka Maui plaza, next to the ProArts shops. Everything is so pretty, definitely feel like you are in a big city. 5/5 for the decor and vibes. We got seated immediately for our reservation and were greeted. Ambiance is vibrant and lively with music playing. It was day 3, so I was expecting some delays/hiccups, but unfortunately they were pretty common throughout the night. We left 150 minutes after we sat down. While they applied a 15% kamaaina, I was hoping the managers would also apply another discount due to the hiccups they were experiencing. The prix fixe menu for $89, is pretty decent for what they offer, but also restricts how many times people can visit the restaurant. There was plenty of food, but it all came out at inconsistent times and sometimes less than hot. They had a wonderful live entertainer that performed two sets. They provide a rose water hand bath in the beginning, mint tea at the end as well as some desserts. Overall, I would hope they work to improve the timing of the delivery of their various dishes as well as have their staff check on their guests in a more timely manner. Hopefully they can make the prix fixe an option and allow guests to order smaller dishes or a la carte in the future.

Had the best time celebrating my 60th birthday at Le Bazaar with 14 ladies. We had fun dressing in Moroccan attire, eating delicious Moroccan food, and watching the amazing belly dance performances. The service could not have been better. It was the perfect evening on Maui.

Le Bazaar is a one of a kind experience that you can't get anywhere else on Maui! The owners have brought such a unique experience to Maui and it was so fun and the food was amazing. Moroccan dishes are definitely unique but every dish was so palatable and so delicious. I will forever be dreaming about the lamb dish and the pastilla- which is a special dish served at Moroccan weddings. It is a great place to get together with family and friends. Service is so awesome and you can tell how much love and care they put into presenting each dish. Dinner also comes with a belly dancing show and traditional moroccan attire to wear during dinner to really elevate the experience!

Wow this place is an experience!! For starters the ambiance of Le Bazaar is spectacular! As soon as you walk in you are transported to Morocco, the they have tons of beautiful artwork and light fixtures. The food: you get so much for the price, also the owner mentioned that everything is completely fresh and organic. The food has so many unique different flavors, the soup was a delicious blend of cozy and warming flavors, the La'stella was nothing like I have ever tried but it seriously blew me away! My favorite main dish was the lamb but you can't go wrong with any of them. They are all cooked to perfection, they are decadent in flavor, so tender, and large portions. To end the food they have a couple of different cookies and some very yummy mint/green tea. The service was incredible, the owner Rick was incredibly kind as well as our server. You get to pick out an outfit, they have great music, and they even have belly dancing! What an awesome spot, I've truly never been so blown away.

Food! Service! Ambience! So good and such a great experience on Maui! We felt transported to Morocco, belly dancer was great. Sitting and seeing all in Moroccan garments around the room. Fabulous. lamb tagine so delicious, lamb melted in your mouth, eggplant salad was my favorite but everything was so good, even to the last drop of orange blossom tea. Highly recommend! read more

We had dinner at Le Bazaar last night and the entire experience was amazing from start to finish! The warm hospitality of the staff was evident from the moment we walked in, where we were greeted and offered the option to dress in traditional clothes for the meal, which we happily took them up on. The decor of the restaurant was awesome, they had a fantastic belly dancer show, and all 5 courses of the food were incredible! I had the lamb, my girlfriend had the fish and both were awesome, and a ton of food! The entire staff was welcoming, gracious, and a lot of fun. This was really a standout dining experience for our two weeks across Oahu and Maui and would make it a priority to come back again next time we make it to Hawaii. read more

We had our new year's eve dinner here, good food and lots of fun. We enjoyed dressing up in their beautiful costumes and dinning on the Moroccan food. It's fixed menu which we only got to pick one main dish (I wish we could choose two smaller items to try different things) to share for the two of us. The portion was big, we had leftovers for another meal. The dancing was fun to watch. read more

Booked a reservation with friends weeks ago for Sunday 18th and they just cancelled on us Friday 16th because they have booked a private event instead!!! They didn't even offer to rebook us on a different date, just instructed us to rebook in their text/email!!! Very disappointed that this restaurant does not honor bookings made in advance, we were all really looking forward to trying out a new restaurant on our island and reviewing it. Very rude, terrible customer service, and 1* review! read more

What a great time in Maui. This was a totally unexpected find. Our host, the staff, and the dancer were so attentive and welcoming. We got dressed in authentic Moroccan dress, had our hands washed by Aladdin (Abdullah), and ate authentic food. The entertainment was fun to watch. Le Bazaar in Maui is hands down one of the best dining experiences I've ever had! From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel so welcome--they were incredibly friendly and attentive. I honestly can't express in words how incredible this place is! We had the Pre-Fix menu and chose the chicken tagine, which was absolutely amazing. The chicken was so tender, and the saffron-ginger sauce with Moroccan olives was packed with flavor. The meal started with a delicious Harira Soup and a variety of fresh, flavorful Moroccan salads. The B'stella was a perfect mix of savory and sweet wrapped in a flaky pastry, and the desserts with fresh mint tea were the perfect way to end the night. Everything--from the food to the service to the cozy ambiance--was unforgettable. If you're in Maui, you have to try Le Bazaar. I'd go back in a heartbeat! read more

5/5 We came as a party of six and had the six-course prix fixe dinner--everything was incredible! The ambiance is warm and beautiful, and you even have the option to dress in Moroccan clothing, which made it extra fun. Our server was so welcoming and made the whole evening feel special. The belly dancer performance added great energy and made the night even more memorable. Each course was flavorful and unique. We had the fish, chicken, and beef for our mains--the chicken and beef were our favorites! The portions were just right, and dessert with Moroccan tea was the perfect finish. It was such a spectacular experience and the owner, belly dancer, and server were all so welcoming and friendly! I came here for a girl's night out & we all had a fantastic time. My wife and I came here for dinner and are fans of Moroccan food. The restaurant had very high ratings and we had high expectations. Frankly our experience was a mixture of very positive and some negative...hence the rating. To begin with, the restaurant is decorated nicely and most will assume it's Moroccan though many of the pieces looked Turkish and a few looked like they came from China. The menu is a fairly straightforward Prix Fixe menu with either meat or vegetarian options, with the meat menu allowing you to select the main dish. We both ordered the meat menu and you have to select one main to share. The first course was a Harira soup which I've had before and this was hands down the best I've ever had (even in Morocco). The second course is a selection of salads that were fine, served with room temperature bread (warm would have been nice). The third course was the traditional b'stilla which is a spiced ground chicken in fillo dough and topped with powdered sugar. I'm not a fan of this dish, but Le Bazaar's recipe was delish. The main course comes with vegetable couscous that was fairly tasteless and we ordered Chicken Tagine. Tagine is a ceramic pot that allows you to cook the meat in its juices for hours and provide a thick syrupy sauce with fall of the bone meats. The biggest disappointment of Le Bazaar in my opinion is that the Tagine was a prop used to serve the chicken in with a watery sauce at the bottom...there was no depth, no richness, and the chicken consisted of 3 pieces (for 2 people). Dessert was solid with some traditional sweets and mint tea. Overall, I felt the food was fair to good but the most traditional dish (Tagine) was inauthentic and mediocre...it felt fake. And then we realized that the host/waiter (who was the only person we saw) spoke with what some would assume was a Moroccan accent...and that too was not authentic. We walked away feeling like we'd enjoyed a decent meal at a Disney resort pretending to be an international restaurant...and the fakeness of it made me wonder whether it was worth the price or the experience. Still undecided.... read more

I live in Kihei and have passed this place many times. I'd never had Moroccan food before, but it was something that piqued my interest, so I added it to my list of places to try. When I went to Le Bazaar, I didn't expect to actually be transported to Morocco! What a special experience! Not only was the food unique and tasty, but the production value of this place was through the roof. The decor is beautiful--vibrant colors, gorgeous artwork, and china. Just amazing. We were also given the option to wear traditional Moroccan outfits over our clothes, complete with hats. They washed our hands with orange blossom water. There was a live belly dancer, and our entire party got up to join in the festivities! The food was incredible, with very unique flavors that I don't typically get to experience in Hawaii. The menu is a 6-course prix fixe. First course - Harira soup: think Moroccan minestrone. Second course - Moroccan salad: a selection of different dips and vegetables with bread. Third course - B'stella: This one is truly unique--you'll either love or hate it. It's like baklava meets chicken pot pie. (I know that sounds weird, but when you try it, you'll understand.) Fourth course - Entree choice: chicken, fish, lamb, or beef. We had a party of 8, so we got to try it all! My favorite was probably the chicken and lamb. Fifth course - Couscous: so tasty, light, airy, fluffy, topped with roasted veggies. A very good side with the entrees. Sixth course - Dessert: assorted pastries and tea. The tea was so refreshing, a great end to an eventful evening! Final thoughts: If you're looking for a full experience meal with cultural components and live entertainment, this is the place! I highly recommend going with a big group or even for a fun date night. The owner was so friendly and welcoming and answered any questions we had about Moroccan culture. A must-try when in Kihei! read more

The energy, the food, the ambience the music and belly dancing were all so great! I am pretty much vegan and their multiple course Dinner had several vegan options and they were all delicious! What a cool experience. We had reservations for 2 for Valentine's Day. It is a pre fixed menu that is unreal delicious & bursting with flavors. They have you pick out a traditional Moroccan outfit to wear during the meal and had a belly dancer perform. Our server was so friendly and welcoming. What an opportunity to have this particular themed restaurant concept in Maui! Of all places. Whether it is just a couples thing, a group of friends or the whole family, "you will always remember this experience". BRING YOUR KIDS HERE and you will have so much fun just watching them react to the experience. Rick, the man who greets you and cares for your experience, is the best at what he does. This is not a burn and turn restaurant. Folks, you get the whole show here and they do it with joy. The food is phenomenal. Everything is stand alone, not one bad item on the selection. I bet if you come here once, you will remember each thing you ate for years to come. What other place can you say that about? My wife and I used to go to a similiar themed restaurant in Los Angeles. The family that ran that business passed away and we thought we'd never see any place like it again. Worth mentioning is that they provide gig work to belly dancers. More restaurants should have dancers!!! There are a lot of dancers out there God bless this business, may they prosper and continue to serve with joy. Amen? What a wonderful and unique experience! Greeted warmly, you are ushered in to a comfortable Moroccan themed room with music and soft cushions, soon after you are given the option to dress in Moroccan dress (do it! It's fun!) then you choose from a variety of Prix Fixe options (they have vegan as well) and a belly dancer emerges and invites the restaurant to dance! Each dish is more and more tasty and exotic! There is so much more than I am writing here. Go experience it for yourself! read more

The food was unusual and excellent, the service was first-rate, the few minutes of dancing was not exactly belly dancing, but enjoyable nonetheless. Considering the amount and quality of the food served to our group of four, I did not feel anything was overpriced. Had the absolute pleasure of dining here tonight. We happened to walk by the right before as Rick, the manager, was walking into to start getting service. Such a pleasant, happy, genuine person. The food was amazing. Each course came out in good timing to allow you to enjoy each, and not feel rushed. Portion sizes are adjusted to your group size. I highly recommend the lamb main course. We enjoyed a six‑course Moroccan feast, starting with fragrant Harira soup and vibrant vegetable salads made with fresh local Upcountry farmer-grown produce, followed by B'stella - a perfect blend of savory chicken and sweet almonds wrapped in crisp phyllo. The lamb tagine with honey and saffron was rich and beautifully balanced, served alongside fluffy hand‑rolled couscous. Dessert was a selection of Moroccan pastries and fresh mint tea. Stop debating, this is where you need to go. Went here with the wife and family, fantastic decision and two days later we are still talking about it! The food was delicious, it was so much fun to dress into the attire, and the live entertainment was unlike we've ever seen. The staff were possibly the friendliest of any restaurant I've been to in years. Would go here for any occasion, you should too! Food was amazing and unique. Most of the food flavor is more savory and sweet. Food presentation was creative and enhances their culture dishes. Services were perfect from when we arrive till the end. They have greeted us at outside and inside the door, shown us to our table, and never rush us out the door. We have time to enjoy ourselves and got to watch 3 mini belly dance show in between our course of eating. The staff offer us to dress in their culture that was provided for all guests including the hat. It was so epic, I feel like part of the culture too. The restaurant is perfect size for small groups of people and environment was lovely. We really love the host who serve us and he really gets to know us individual. It was so fun that the entertainment with the belly dancer have included the guests by joining in with their mini fan show. At the end they have pack our food to go to share with our families and spray us a refreshing essential water (not oil) while exiting. I'll start with the positives because there were several. The drinks were delicious, the sea bass was excellent, and the dessert was absolutely incredible. The pasta itself was a little overcooked and soggy, but the flavor was still very good. The disappointing part of our evening was the service. After our server initially introduced herself, it took quite a while before she returned to take our drink order. When we were ready to order dinner, my husband was still deciding between a couple of menu items. Rather than giving him another moment, our server became visibly impatient and said she would come back after delivering our drinks. It ended up being more than 10 minutes before she returned. When I asked whether the entrees came with bread, her response made me feel embarrassed for even asking. Since they didn't, we ordered the biscuits as an appetizer to enjoy while waiting for our meals. Our children's meals arrived promptly, which we appreciated. However, our server never once stopped by to see if the kids needed anything. I had to flag down another server just to get ketchup. Meanwhile, our server walked past our table several times without checking on us or asking if we'd like another round of drinks--which we actually would have ordered. When our entrees arrived, the biscuits still hadn't come out. Shortly afterward, our server finally checked on us. I let her know that since our meals had already arrived, we no longer needed the biscuits and simply asked that they not be included on the bill. Her response was, "Well, they're made fresh and in the oven now. I guess I can go tell the kitchen you don't want them anymore." I replied, "They were supposed to be our appetizer, and our meals are already here now." Before I could even finish my sentence, she walked away while I was still speaking and appeared to mumble something under her breath. That interaction left my husband and me feeling shocked and disappointed. We've dined at many restaurants over the years and have never felt spoken to in that manner. We had considered asking to speak with a manager at that point, but honestly, we just wanted to finish our meal and leave without any further uncomfortable interactions. This was especially disappointing because Tommy Bahama has always been one of our favorite restaurants and a place we genuinely look forward to visiting whenever we're in Hawaii. We hope this experience was an exception rather than the standard, because the food continues to be wonderful--the service simply did not match the quality we've come to expect.

Even though there are multiple accolades for Le Bazaar restaurant, I must add my voice of praise. For our anniversary, we were searching for a memorable celebration. We had tickets to Pro Arts, a top notch live theater in Kihei. For dinner, we discovered this hidden gem, next door to the theater. Le Barre, an unobtrusive local restaurant. As we entered the door, we were transformed. The atmosphere was elegant. The decor was tasteful and authentic costumes were provided for optimal emersIon, a beautiful Belly Dancer provided entertainment. We were presented with a variety of Wine choices, I selected the Moroccan Syrah. Our meal began with an Orange blossom hand washing, During our meal, we were presented a 6 course dinner starting with delicious Harira Soup, then came a large plate of 4 Moroccan Salads made from a medley of local upcountry vegetables, then we were surprised with B'stella a chicken and almond pie delight. Our main course was a huge portion of delicious Lamb Tagine, with Couscous. I especially loved the olives and the tamarind chicken! The whole night was an experience to remember because we dressed up in Moroccon kaftans, drank mint tea, washed our hands in orange blossom water and the belly dancer was amazing! The food was really good, but unfortunately it's too expensive for what it is and the portions are really unnecessary. They should do mezze plates family-style and let each person choose what kind of protein they want as their main, in an appropriate portion. Otherwise it's just excessive amounts of food, and you can't mix and match proteins unless you have several people, and it's too expensive to be able to come back often. It's a one-and-done kind of spot, when honestly, we would go back a lot more often if it were more reasonable. $50/60 prix fixe would be great. $100 is way too much. Fun spot though! What a wonderful evening at Le Bazaar! I went with a large group and we all had an incredible experience. I wound up being the only vegetarian in my party and they were able to accommodate me without problem or complaint. The food was beyond delicious, I found myself saying "this is my new favorite" after every course. From the soup to the dessert everything was something new that I hadn't tried before. Glad I went back again! Went to dinner here with a few friends the first time and enjoyed that there is something for every one. This place takes food restrictions seriously and has a dish in mind to satisfy you! I returned recently with a large group of about 15 and let me tell you, they didnt miss a beat! We celebrated my birthday here with friends and had THE BEST TIME! What a lovely Moroccan oasis and fun experience. Perfect for a romantic date night! My favorite was the salad course, I really loved their babaganoush! From the belly dancing to the mint tea, we were all smiles. They even include Moroccan outfits for everyone to wear! The salad had fresh spring greens and the dressing was a light rice vinegar sesame that really complimented the greens without overpowering them. The Mahi Curry over jasmine rice came with roasted vegetables. The vegetables had a slight hint of char that was perfect, a rare attempt at this in restaurants in my experience. The curry was not overly spicy and slightly sweet, a good version. The fish was very good, ever so slightly overcooked for my preference. The glazed salmon was pretty awesome. The fish was cooked absolutely perfect. The glaze was not overly sweet and had a bit of soy sauce flavor to it. The roasted veggies on the side were great.
