Best uni here on the island of Maui. So creamy and long lasting! The atmosphere was very beautiful and a bit classy. The hostess/greeter was amazing, she was dressed so formal and very welcoming. Kenji was our waiter and he was amazing! So attentive , and educated us on what is the vision of Komo. I can't wait to go back to try their other foods on their menu.

This was by far our favorite foodie experience. The ambiance was amazing - great chairs. One draw back was that it was a major thoroughfare through the restaurant. The service was impeccable, every single team member was so friendly. A little hint for management - send Brianna to Japan on a sushi educational experience, she deserves it. Another hint for management - change the dish on the Chicken Tsukune, it is to flat and the sauce goes all over the place, deeper spot for the egg would be better also (you're welcome Mike). All the food was amazing - we did a flight of tuna (so yummy). Our favorite was the Salmon Trout dish was our favorite. Chef made the noodles for me (off menu)- thank you chef. The Yasai Salad Maki was a refreshing bite. Snow crab roll - so good. We finished it of with the dessert jewel box- very cool. They even made us a chocolate treat because it was our honeymoon. A++++++++ definitely coming here again. Yelpers - you should flock to this place.

Chef really treated us like royalty! We landed here without a plan for our anniversary dinner and this was an amazing surprise to our tastebuds. Not only did they fit us in at the best spot in the bar, but they suited us up with some fantastic sake options to accompany our sushi selections. We ordered some of our favorite things while also trying some recommended items from Chef Kiyo. I was able to convince my partner to try Uni for the first time because he was so impressed by the quality of each bite we had. We will be back for another meal soon! Thanks to everyone who made it special.

Move over Nobu, The Four Seasons has opened what I believe to be the best Japanese restaurant in Wailea with THE BEST restaurant manager named Louis. Also, the best staff ALL AROUND. Last week, we vacationed at The Four Seasons (White Lotus) in Maui. Prior to arriving, I had made reservations to Nobu at the Grand Wailea not knowing that The Four Seasons had recently opened Komo. I was a little suspicious about Nobu, so the day before, we walked over to check out the restaurant. After looking at Nobu, I immediately cancelled the reservation and made it for Komo instead. I was absolutely correct in my decision. I felt like I was transported to Japan. The restaurant is brand new and it's decorated so beautifully. Let me start off with the service, the manager actually walked us over to the veranda to take a picture of our family at sunset. That was so kind of him. Then when we came back, the waitress was so kind to us. I think her name is Briana. But if I'm wrong, I'm so sorry but she was so wonderful. Right from the start I knew the night was going to go well. They started us off with a wonderful honey tea. Then as we looked at the menu, I also knew this was a very authentic and upscale restaurant with an amazing chef. Of course, if you're going to have sushi, you're going to have to order the fresh wasabi. In my experience, most restaurants don't even offer it unless it's a very upscale sushi restaurant. Then as you peruse the menu, you can see that the selections are amazing. I can go on and on, but I think my photos that I've attached speaks for itself. If you can get a reservation here at Komo, you will not be disappointed. I can't wait to go back to the Four Seasons Maui just to go to Komo. I think they're going to do very well if the quality and service stays this high. A++++++

Every time I'm in Maui, this is a MUST. We did the omakase experience for my birthday dinner and it was incredible. 100% worth the price. Every piece of fish was so fresh and literally melted in your mouth. Even the cooked dishes like the miso black cod and A5 Wagyu were amazing. We sat at the sushi bar this time and loved it! The sushi chef was so sweet, the waiters hv the best personalities, and the food comes out surprisingly fast. If it's your first time, get a Mai Tai! All of the nigiri is incredible, but my favorites are the otoro, hamachi with chili oil, and salmon. SAVE ROOM FOR DESSERT. The matcha panna cotta is sooo good and 'not too sweet' lol, which is probably the best compliment an Asian person can give a dessert The ube dessert is amazing too. I recommend Oao to everyone who visits Maui and it never disappoints!

We have a pretty good feel for what's out there, and this place truly stands out. From the moment we walked in, Dwayne made us feel like family. His hospitality was genuine, attentive, and really elevated the entire experience. The food was incredible. Every dish was fresh, beautifully prepared, and packed with flavor. As crazy as it may sound, I honestly think the sushi here is better than Nobu. That's a bold statement, but this place earned it. And the chicken wings... wow. I don't know what they're do back there, but they are absolutely addictive. I could legitimately eat four dozen of them. Crispy, flavorful, and some of the best wings I've ever had--at a sushi restaurant, no less. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and exactly what you hope to find while on vacation. We only wish we had a restaurant like this back home in Las Vegas. This has officially become a must-visit every time we're in Maui. We can't wait to come back on our next vacation.

All the tables were full of tourist families - it was good vibes, the tables separated by white sheer curtains giving it a little elegance. There was a lot of mahi on the menu! Their liquor selection was more limited than I'd think - so I skipped a cocktail. I got the Mac crusted mahi - sadly it was flavorless and the sauce was cold. I had to modify a reservation due to jet lag, and the woman who handled the entire 15 person dining room, knew exactly who I was when i walked in, even though I had never been there! It's literally only the husband behind the counter and the woman taking care of taking orders, serving, and checking in on every diner. The small decorations are fun and whimsical, especially if you sit at the sushi bar. Prices are very fair for the quality of the fish and although they do have set combinations, I preferred to create my own. I got the miso soup, albacore, yellowtail, Maguro, shrimp tempura roll, vegetable roll, and negihama. I ended up ordering enough for 3 people, but since I was staying in a condo, they graciously packed leftovers to go with condiments! Count on about $100 per person if you have a drink and a hearty appetite. A beautiful gesture upon leaving was being gifted a fresh flower!

Traditionally, sushi chef put soy sauce and wasabi in the between the fish and rice, and it's part of the flavor. I don't remember how it was done last time, but that was not the case this time. I had to awkwardly flip the nigiri pieces and dip the fish side in soy sauce, and then they fall apart. Ugh. Also, I didn't appreciate the size of the rice. It was impossible for me to eat the whole piece in one bite, but it's kind of rude not to under the traditional Japanese etiquette. The fish quality was.....okay. TBH, I had better in Sacramento/Roseville for way cheaper. I had more elegant, delicious, and satisfying omakase in San Diego, New York, Shanghai....you name it. For the price (even adjusted for the Maui premium) and the capability of the owners, I truly believe they could do better. Sending love!
