4 of us had dinner last night at Soma, Not a great experience on the culinary front. We had the mezza flat bread appetizer. The Home made flat bread was dried out from the heat lamp. Salmon spread lacked flavor and was coarse in texture not a spread. The whipped feta lacked seasoning and was not delicious. The cured meats also suffered from the heat lamp and came looking sweaty and greasy. We ordered the Pork chop for main. At 38.00 you would expect at least a 8oz portion of meat. It was less than 3/4 of an inch thick maybe 6 oz of meat. We ordered it MR it came well done. Sent it back second attempt was well done 50% of it and then MW , MD, TO rare at the bone. First plate had crispy onion garnish on meat second one they forgot to garnish. Sauce was mushroom milk based no cream that I could detect. Thus lacked richness. We were offered a free dessert as compensation. We chose the peach cobbler. It was a runny mess with raw filo in the bottom to burnt filo on top. Served with forks. Ate like a soup so I got up found our server and requested spoons. She acknowledged that she knew that would have been a better utensil to eat the peach cobbler soup? Manager and server were good, apologized for the poor quality dining exp. and gave us 2 x $ 25 Gift cards one for each couple. I will use mine for a cocktail on the roof top patio when the weather is better. I won't eat there again. read more

UPDATED REVIEW: My first experience here was great, but I've gone back twice since then and the food was not as good. I got a mushroom burger yesterday & I had to ask for seasoning and sauce to enjoy it. I'm not sure what has changed but this may become a drinks only spot for me. If you are looking for a quiet hangout with friends or solo with a nice breezy view, this is the place. Parking is a high incline so heads up. The dinner menu is an assortment under $30 each dish. Cocktails ranged from $13+. I got the ramen and it was a 3/5. For the price of $24, it was not equivalent to other ramen places nearby. The portion was not suitable for $24. The broth was ehh, it was not strong in a umami flavor, noodles seemed overboiled. It's a vegetarian dish so the only protein was the hard boiled egg. Service was a 3/5. Slow night on a Sunday so servers and hostesses were sitting down but even so, the server was not very welcoming. The cocktail I had was a blackberry garden and it was delish. Pretty presentation for the price of $14. May give brunch a try for a different menu. read more

The breakfast food was good, we had the donuts, avocado toast, scrambled eggs, etc... all was good and plentiful. Parking is the only issue and I recommend dropping off those who can't walk well. Now they will answer the phone and give you your order for free when your waiter tips himself $50 instead of $5. The waiter had no business serving us. Food is really substandard, yet overpriced. Service is almost non-existent and disorganized. One person takes order, a different person brings the food but no silverwear, I had to get up and go find a server to get silverware. Food is heavy, greasy and bland. This was my second meal here. Came here for a bridal brunch and it was delicious! Everyone loved their food. The restaurant was super cute too, so no decor was needed. I am usually pretty easy going with a mistake or two but this whole experience was disappointing from beginning to end. They got 2/3 orders wrong and when we asked for a solution, they brought out plain noodles as an alternative. Like no salt or butter, just plain noodles. One of the glasses had black residue floating in it. The food was mediocre. The service was poor. read more

Top notch food, service, and easily one of the great views, as it occupies the top floor of the Brut Hotel. During the warmer months, you can enjoy your cocktails in the open air of their rooftop aerie. Even during the winter months, the interior of this eateries is just as pleasant as the food and drink proffered. read more

The outdoor space is the best thing about this restaurant. Unfortunately indoors the lighting is harsh and the atmosphere screams subpar hotel restaurant. The menu is very limited. The last meal I had was overcooked and the service is always slow. Please do better Soma. You have so much potential. read more

Great Tulsa brunch spot, views are worth the trip to this restaurant. My wife and I went for Valentine's brunch and it was great. I had the Cuban(I think it's called something different on menu Miami maybe?!) that was one of the best Cubans I've had. My wife had the kimchi rice with egg and said it was a little spicy but good. Pretty quiet spot but we did go in middle of week at 11am. read more

I have been to the Soma Restaurant twice now, once in December 2023 and then on Valentines Day 2024. The food was awesome! The wait staff was awesome! Food cost was reasonable for the portion size you receive and the taste/flavor you expect in a fine dining restaurant. Compliments to the CHEF!!! What more can you ask for than to have a wonderful night looking at the Tulsa skyline, a beautiful sunset and a patio you can set and have a quite conversation with you date or friends enjoying the evening with a nice glass of wine or your favorite beverage. This is a must go to place for that special night or date. I like that I can dress up or dress business casual. Did not see anyone that was dressing casual or worse. I like that in what I call a "Fine Dining Restaurant"! A hidden jewel! read more

Was really excited to try this place. Booked a reservation on a Friday night. Hostess was accommodating and let us sit outside and have drinks before we came to our table. Took 20-30 min to get our drinks, and service was not great. Drinks were good. We ordered the hummus and flatbread appetizer and went ahead and put in our entree order. Carnitas, salmon, Huli Huli, and a side on bok choy. Everything arrived all at one time so had to push aside entree to get to the app. Food was okay, not amazing. Water was never refilled the entire visit. Took 20 min to get our check back. Not an awful experience, the rooftop bar and over all vibe is great! But probably would only come back for a drink and app or to stay at the hotel. read more

We paid over $256 to attend Soma's 4th of July Luau and were underwhelmed by the unsubstantial menu. The staff, however was professional, attentive and accommodating. The rooftop venue was lovely, which saved the day. Perhaps do away with the cost of the band next year? It would also have been nice if it were an adults-only event or there were an age restriction for kids in attendance. Strollers and kids running around the otherwise sophisticated rooftop took away from the experience. Good try, but not worth the price point. read more

Soma, located atop the Brut Hotel at 18th and Boulder, was a fantastic experience on both of the occasions I've visited: 1) for dinner in the dining room, and 2) for appetizers and drinks on the balcony to listen to the live music at sunset while enjoying the captivating view as the sun descends over the river. Dinner - pasta tossed in lemon, garlic, parmesan, asparagus, peas and mushrooms - was full of flavor with a perfect amount of zestiness, and if you want a protein you can add salmon, chicken or tofu for an extra charge. The atmosphere in the dining area had a languid elegant vibe and was quite relaxing. Appetizers and drinks on the balcony with a group of friends made for a calm and enjoyable evening. The acoustic trio was great, the appetizers from the Mezza platter were varied and tasty (the stuffed peppers are especially flavorful), and the beverage menu impressed all in our group. The mocktail with passionfruit, lemon and cinnamon was refreshing, with a wonderful balance of tart and sweet. Service was attentive and responsive - a superb experience on both occasions. Highly recommend for a nice evening out, or a relaxing get-together with friends on the balcony - the view can't be beat! read more

Worst experience ever , I have been moved to Tulsa a year ago and never disappoint with any good star restaurant ( I love McNeille's group of restaurants) . First of all sitting arrangements- wooden seat with no cushion - super hard and uncomfortable. The service sucks!!! Literally arugula salad in Buddha bowl - not served properly and it costs 20$ . This place exceeded my expectations! The atmosphere was amazing, with beautiful views and overall design, they did a great job. Their menu is upscale, yet approachable. The hummus platter was to die for, with pita bread that they make in-house. We went with a friend who is vegetarian, and they were impressed by the variety of plant-based options. I got the steak, which is always a gamble because I rarely enjoy a steak that I haven't prepared myself, but it was amazing! Our server was so kind and attentive. Their wine list could perhaps be better, but I am a bit of a snob and theirs definitely stood out more than most! I highly recommend calling ahead of time to reserve a table, but this particular visit was quite impromptu and they were still able to seat us at a table with a gorgeous view right when we arrived! Drinks were great! Our waitress was sweet. Food was meh. Pork chop was super dry. My husband's salmon was flavorless. The employees ate dinner right in front of us, while we were starving and bread wasn't offered, so we sat and waited while they ate. They got our dessert order wrong and then said they didn't offer the bread pudding (one of two desserts shared with us on the menu) which would have been fine, but then the staff came and all got forks and ate the dessert in front of us. At one point one of the staff spit her food out. No decorum whatsoever. Also, there was food on the wall, next to our table, which luckily our sweet waitress (who spoke so softly I couldn't hear) didn't hand me the rag to wipe it down when I asked if I could have a rag to wipe it off. Although, I wouldn't have been surprised, as this type of behavior has become common place in the service industry. Also, if you're going to have a minimalist atmosphere, then clean well and dust everything. You don't really have an excuse with a minimalist, natural vibe. The rooftop/ outdoor seating is beautiful. Perfect place to sit. The service we had was terrible- I felt bad for the poor waiter kid because he had obviously had no training. Took us 30 minutes after being seated just to get water and menus. He took our order. 20 minutes later he came back and asked us for the order again because he couldn't find where he had written it down. The coffee was cold but the food was good. We got the appetizers at the same time as the food. I asked for hot sauce 3x before getting it. Some of the orders were wrong but we were too afraid to send them back. They kept trying to deliver drinks and food items to our table that no one had ordered also. When it was time for the checks, he asked every person to state what they had ordered again because he couldn't remember. When we got the checks, they weren't even correct and he had to redo it. I think I repeated my order at least 6 times throughout the meal. But it was such a cute rooftop vibe that I think I'd go back again and maybe just get a more experienced waiter. Originally left 3 star review. Just now updated my review to 2 stars after I found the waiter changed my 18% tip to 64% tip without my consent.
