Stopped in for a quick appetizer and cocktail before dinner. The bartenders were very accommodating and kind, view of the golf course was beautiful and carpaccio was delicious. Small but nice selection of top shelf whiskey.

Here's to another nice date night (Specialty drink menu & wine selection also worth mentioning)

Second time at Solomon's on the beautiful Tetherow Resort, where we again had a wonderful experience! Atmosphere, service (Ari), and cuisine all on point, providing a lovely date night. All staff were authentically friendly and professional, which says to me that they love their job. We will be back!

I usually don't post reviews, but this was such a great experience that a good review is well deserved. We have eaten at all of the high end restaurants in Bend as we are born and raised and we definitely have our favorites. For some reason, Solomon's always fell off of my radar when looking for a nice dinner but we were looking for something new for a date night with our kiddo tagging along and happened upon a reservation to Solomon's. Our 9 year old is very well behaved and used to eating at nice places so I wasn't worried when we walked in and there weren't any other kids in the quiet atmosphere. Our server, Austin was so kind and welcoming, honestly one of the very best we have ever had anywhere. She made perfect suggestions for drinks that were off menu and for our kiddo for dinner choices. The food was absolutely delicious. After the burrata appetizer, we were impressed and our son said, "if they can make burrata and tomatoes taste that good I'm excited for my dinner!" While the food and drinks were delicious, the view was gorgeous, the service was the most memorable. Thank you, Austin! Our son definitely made a new friend and we will be back to visit soon! This is a hidden gem in Bend for sure.

Aqua de Fleur should be a new staple on the menu. Drew showed up guns blazing with amazing drinks and service.

Drew is the best! He always takes care of us and concocts the best drinks! We have yet to have something bad on the menu either.

Between the exceptionally good food at Hook and Plow, a most pleasant hotel experience, and a memorable trip to the High Desert Museum; our trip to Bend turned out to be a pleasure instead of the miserableness I expected. We had the Steak Tartare, the Chef's Board, the Blackend Crabcake, the Pear and Burrata Salad, and the Bone-in Pork Chop. We each got the cheesecake for desert and split the other dishes. This was more than enough for the three of us and we left full, happy, and with three large to-go boxes. The flavors of the various dishes were amazing. While all the dishes were vvery good, the standouts to me were the steak Tartare, the Pear and Burrata Salad, and the Cheesecake.

They changed the recipe so now they're beer bartered and no longer gluten free. You are limited to a few appetizers and salads. I tried the steak tartare and it's not great. It was my first time so I'm not sure how it compares to other places. One friend said it had a strong sesame oil flavor? The ahi poke was fine. I did like my salad- pear and burrata. The pomegranate molasses and cheese and pears were nice together. Overall, I wouldn't go here again as a gf person. The men at my table got the crab cake benny and the Nashville fish sandwich and they were very happy with their food!

You counter order/pay and then are assigned a table (very helpful when you are a party of 6). Later on, we even saw people getting delivered their drinks while waiting in line). This Asian inspired fast causal place did not disappoint in flavors or food (and with very reasonable prices to boot). We loved the esquites (traditionally Mexican style street corn) with fish sauce - so so good. The strawberry & crispy rice salad and Thai beef salads were both bright, fresh, and tasty. The dan dan noodles, lomo saltado, and curries were all great as well. As an extra icing on top - the drinks (especially the $3 nonalcoholic shrub and homemade sodas) were great as well. We loved this place.

Needs one guy serving drinks and answering questions about the menu, and one person taking orders. The food was Chinese fusion with Mexican influences and we got mala noodles, 1 shrimp taco, and fried chicken. I'm Chinese and my husband is Mexican, so in theory this place would be right up our alley. However the shrimp taco's tortilla was not made fresh which is is the whole point of the taco (the salsa and the tortilla). The chicken was decent but not spectacular. The mala noodle was good on flavor (kudos for keeping the "ma" part intact) and probably the best part of the meal, but the rice noodle needs to be cooked 1-2 minutes less.

I was in town for 4 days and ate there 3 times, breakfast, lunch and dinner!! It's a must period. One thing that was very inconvenient. You have to order at the counter and there's only one person. For breakfast the line was out the door with a 45 min wait just to order, and most of all the tables were empty. In other words, it makes no sense to have one register with all the tables they have. People are obviously eating fast then ordering your food. It's like have 1 waitress to take orders. They must either have waitresses or multiple registers to order. One order at a time and mist of them are large groups which makes it even harder to order. Everyone is adding food to there orders at the counter because that's when you see all the amazing backed goods, but it is way to time consuming. They can triple their sales easily!! That must change!!

You can also customize your meal as needed. To order, you stand in line like at a food court counter, but in a fancy way. While we were there, the line stretched to the door most of the time but it moves fast. This is the time you use to choose your bottle of wine, pick food, and browse the pastries on display. There were several places to sit indoors and out after placing the order. The kids hade the garlic bites (fried balls of bread with garlic and cheese...looked like doughnut holes!) and a pizza. They can add pepperoni to a cheese pizza for the particular children in your life. My husband and I shared a Cobb salad, no croutons to make it gf (the lemon dill dressing was AMAZING! Actually, this whole salad was very good). We also intended to share the NY strip with chimichurri. However, we didn't read that it comes with bread and a side salad (great!) and roasted vegetables in romesco sauce (also great!). My husband is allergic to nuts and so he couldn't eat any. That is not a complaint...all on us! The menu is clearly marked. But be aware if you have a nut allergy to specify that you can't have the romesco sauce. Or let the order taker know, as they are informed on modifications and whatnot. So he ate the salad and done pizza. I ate most of the steak and veggies. Everything tasted really good. The steak was a bit gristly. But the chimichurri was great. My absolute favorite thing was the elote cake with tajin buttercream. It was not a sweet cake. But it was heavenly. I should have grabbed another piece before we left. It was creative and salty and delicious and I still want it two days later. Service was great. Food is brought out as it's ready, not all at once. And the side salad and bread is brought before the main dish. The people were friendly and helpful. This was a great place and I would definitely go back.

Bad news. Good news…read more Bad news first is this: The Drake has been sold to new owners and TONIGHT, APRIL 12, WILL BE THE LAST DAY OF SERVICE at The Drake with the original owner and the current menu. So if you're hankering for the mac n cheese or shrimp n grits or veg burger or any of the menu items, after today they are history. I started eating at The Drake in their first week of business and had many, many, many meals there over the years but things change and so, it seems, has the popularity of The Drake. Now the good news. The new owners are a trio and one of them is also one of the owners of the inestimable Ken's Artisan Pizza in Portland that opened its' Bend location last year. (Go! Even if you have to stand in line for 45 minutes like I did.) The first news of this ownership change was that they would keep the name and current focus of The Drake. But local television news reports that after The Drake closes today it will be reimagined with a new name and design and menu. The opening for the new place is currently said to be Memorial Day weekend. I don't live in Bend anymore but there is still a family home there and so I visit on occasion and knowing a "Ken's" owner is involved in the new enterprise may make me brave the wicked-bad downtown parking to try this new place. In the meantime, I remember how fun and delicious it could be to eat at The Drake.
