Thank you to TEAM Dr. So! My son and I had appointments at 10:30AM. Uncle Phil once again greeted us with smiles and laughs. He quickly sent my son to see Dr. Yip to be examined and I sat down to complete the vision tests. If you ever have the time to catch Phil when no other patients are waiting, his jokes and kindness quickly fills your heart. It's like visiting family every time we come for our appointment. When I was done with my tests, I entered Dr. Yips exam room as my son was finishing his exam. He didn't need glasses. I trust Dr. Yip, she has taken care of me and my family when Dr. So is not in the office. She recommended new style of contacts as I work from home and in front of a computer all day. She gave a thorough exam and believe it or not, my vision got better! We had a good time during our appointment with Uncle Phil, Dr. Yip and the girls behind the desk. Accidentally stepped on my glasses the other day, and took them in to Dr. So's office to see if anything could be done. Office staff was great, and worked with me to get the original frames repaired a bit. I had bought them from Dr. So's office more than two years ago, and they were no longer in production. Believe it was Jan that got me set straight and on the road again. Really appreciate how they are flexible working with you, and do not try and upsell you on things you don't need. I've had problems with my vision since 2019 from cataract surgery that an ophthalmologist in Palm Desert did. I recently ordered a pair of RayBan frames that I had with my previous prescription. However they have been very uncomfortable and after 3 weeks of having my new pair, I went in to Dr. So's to get an adjustment and see if that would make the frames more comfortable. Jimmy made the adjustment as best he could, told me to try them out for a week and if they still didn't feel ok, come back and he would take care of me. I waited 2 weeks as I was really trying to make these work since I had them before and they were great and a style I loved! I explained to Jimmy how uncomfortable they were and he told me to pick out a new frame and he would work with my insurance to replace the lens. I'm currently waiting on my new frames to come back from my insurance company, but am extremely grateful to Jimmy for all his help and understanding. I wear glasses full time and basically consider them my eyes, so having something that is comfortable, works for me and looks nice, is important to me. Since switching to Dr. So's office 2 years ago, Cindy has always been helpful and responsive as well. I highly recommend Dr. So's and appreciate his support staff! read more

Always so welcoming and helpful! My family, 5 total, and I have gone here ever since we've moved to the area 3 years ago. I never have had a complaint, they really value their patients! The area is clean and the staff is always so pleasant and patient. They always give reminders for appointments, answer questions, and take you in at your appointment time, sometimes they can even see you earlier too which is great! The friendly staff really makes the environment worthwhile and different from other offices and I would give 100 stars if I could. I have been with So Optometry for three years. I like Dr. Yip. I also like the staff. However, I had a bad experience with Dr. So during which he was disrespectful and condescending towards me, when I had questions about the prescription of my glasses. I remember Dr. So talking down to me and speaking to me in a confrontational manner. I recently learned that someone else had a similar bad experience with Dr. So, so my unpleasant experience was not isolated. This is not acceptable. Therefore, I will not return to So Optometry. i only pick this place at first because it was literally two blocks down from where I live, but the service end up being amazing - they went above and beyond. Let me start of with the staffs - very pleasant, polite and not to mention super nice. I was in and was immediately greeted by the lady at the front desk. Then this guy (Phillip) took over and he was sooo polite. They are really fast at what they do but they also answer any questions/concerns you might have. Moving to the doctor - she was very detailed and gives very through eye exams, also very transparent. I learned something new about my eyes today and it was a good thing. now I know to monitor it incase if there are any chances in the future. I was debating on switching brands for the contact lenses, but she was like it actually don't make a difference but do recommend you stick to the current brand you are using since the other one might be too thick. they have a wide range of eyes glasses selection that you can choose from and the prices are pretty reasonable.
