Dr. Henley was terrific. I was in and out of this place in less than 40 mins, with a scheduled appointment (which to me is great, for someone who's busy). The assistants were all very helpful and accommodating. The only concerning issue I had, was the lack of sanitization. I have been Seeing Dr. Henley for the past 15 years. My husband and two daughters also go there for their eye exams. The staff is always friendly. Dr. Hanley genuinely enjoys his job. I never get tired of him telling me that my arms are too short. If you arrive on time, you'll be out of there within 40 minutes. And that includes putting in new contacts. I was examined here by a doctor whose name I don't recall, but he was funny - introducing me to the term "short-arm syndrome" to describe age related presbyopia. Anyway, he tested my eyes and my old prescription and told me he would issue a new prescription that wouldn't be so tailored to reading and was more balanced between near and far. When I received my new lenses they were worse for both near and far vision than my old lenses. When I called to report the issue they were dismissive and told me I'd need to pay for a new exam. If it hadn't been for the lens issue, I'd have rated this place 10 stars if I could. It's unfortunate that the initial level of service wasn't matched by the follow through. read more

Dr Henley is awesome. He went beyond my previous Optometrist as far as being there for me. Making sure that my concerns were corrected and,after the vision check, I looked and settled on the frame style. No pressure sales here. When I picked them up....I WAS AMAZED!!! Been to 4 different eye doc's in the past five years. Each gave high pressure sales and low quality service. I almost gave up on a new pair of glasses even though I have great insurance. Then I visited Upland Eye Care where I was very impressed with the staff and settings. Super nice and professional. I found an awesome pair of over sized frames and was not charged extra. Best pair of glasses ever!!!! What's even better, is that they helped me replace the lenses when they became damaged shortly thereafter. I was provided excellent customer service. They had my lenses replaced at no charge!!!! I am finally very happy with my new place and I highly recommend them to all my friends and family. Upland eye care is wonderful. Today is the Friday of Labor Day weekend and I called around noon to see if the doctor could possibly see me. There selection sucks no spy no ray bans none of the top designer brands so I bought some Guess glasses went to pick them up and I wore them out got home and figured out it wasn't the right case it wasn't the Guess case that should come with it and the cheap case that the glasses don't fit in read more

Staff is efficient, office friendly & welcoming. Optometrist received good Yelp reviews, however I found him to be focused on entertaining me and talking at me, expecting appreciation for his humor. I needed a conversation about some concerns regarding vision and he did not provide that opportunity, nor did he ask whether there were any questions. After measuring my eyes he walked out of the room saying he needed to write down some numbers, then I heard him next door greeting the next patient. A health care provider who doesn't partner with his patients to address the patient's needs is not someone I can return to see. read more

Both my daughter and I had an appointment today for new glasses... upon arriving the front staff was very nice. The female optometrist was very rude... she would not greet my daughter or myself after the both of us giving her a proper greeting. She proceeds to sit down not even so much of making eye contact and told my daughter that she needs to turn her phone off due to the fact that she's not allowed to be on her phone. I was so disappointed that I gave this woman a piece of my mind and walked out. I will be contacting someone who has a higher authority than she... horrible service from the doctor is not acceptable. I've been to several optometrists and have been able to walk straight in and look at the frames. After stopping at 2 offices today, I stopped here to see if I could find a frame I'd like to purchase. I patiently waited for help, and found it quite absurd that I needed an optometrist to walk me around to look at their frames. I had a prescription in hand and was willing to purchase. Unfortunately this business has lost any future business from me. In response to Gail: I understand that may be the case but like I said, I stopped by 2 offices aside from yours and was able to view their frames. High end frames have small locks that can be used to prevent theft, as the other offices I visited used. I was told I needed someone to discuss what my insurance covered and so forth, when I was simply trying to find a frame that I would like to purchase. After this office I went to another in Upland and was allowed to look around, at many high end frames out of cases, without having to be followed by an optician, just absurd to me. If you are planning to look at frames here, make sure you make an appointment to do so, otherwise you will be waiting until the customer in front of you has finished trying on several different t frames, narrowing it down to the pair they want, and then going through the process of being fitted and seeing what insurance covers. That can take quite a while! read more

My husband and I have seen him (and he always remembers us), but on this occasion, my 6-year old daughter saw him for an eye check. He was so friendly and engaging, speaking directly to her at her level, explaining all that he was doing. He worked efficiently and thoroughly, explaining to me (the parent) what each of the tests were checking for.
