Recently I had seriously injured my eye while doing some gardening and by the next morning I realized I needed professional medical attention. I went to Dr. Kim's office to arrange for an examination. While Dr. Kim was not in at the time, her employee, Scott, immediately contacted her by phone in an effort to have me seen late that afternoon. While Dr. Kim was out of town at the time, Scott was able to secure an appointment with Dr. Kim the following morning. Impressive! After examining my eye and generating a prescription for an immediate pick up, Dr. Kim insisted that in the future if any vision-related injuries arise I should immediately text the office, even if it is after-hours. She explained that, as a habit, she will review text messages after-hours and is very willing to meet with a patient, on an emergency basis, to avoid the risk of any long-term vision damage. Several days after my initial visit Dr. Kim then reached out to me via a follow-up email to confirm that I was healing properly and that the injury had been alleviated. This is an impressive level of personalized professional care, especially in view of the general state of healthcare throughout Southern California. Thank you Dr. Kim and your staff.

She was so patient and kept trying different things when it wouldn't pop up right away. I feel like most front desk ladies would have tried once and given up with an unapologetic "sorry" , being that I've experienced this multiple times before. It took about 15-20 minutes later and 7 different attempts of searching that she found my insurance. The nice thing is that I can ask her any and all questions about my eye situation and discuss any concerns, and she takes the time to educate me and reassure me about my eye health. At age 70, I take my eye health very seriously and appreciate the information she imparts, and also the knowledge that she would alert me to any serious problems and initiate an immediate referral to a specialist if need be. I came away with an updated eyeglass prescription. They have the glasses on-site, but one can also take that prescription to any other place.
