They had my glasses in just under 2 weeks when I was told to expect closer to 3. I'd prefer a bigger selection of non name brand frames but I know that's not the norm at this point. Over the last two months I've visited this facility for an eye exam for myself and a family member. My family member's glasses were a good fit, so I thought I'd go in too. Unfortunately, mine weren't a good fit. I ordered readers, when I received them back, I couldn't wear them without feeling nauseous. So, the doctor recommended progressives. This was an additional $250 out of pocket. I paid it. These were better, but I was still experiencing distortion when looking straight. So, I went back. They tried a few things, but the glasses still gave me a blurry image when looking straight. They called to say they'd be sending them back again to have the lenses redone. When I asked what would happen if they still didn't work they said, we don't want to have to return them because there's a 35% restocking fee. I was shocked! I explained no one told me and they informed me it was in the intake forms I signed! They wouldn't reason with me, so I no longer wanted to work with them and let them know I'd be coming in to return the glasses. Once there, they had conveniently placed a sign that was not there the last 5 times I had visited the business. I would've noticed it! To my surprise, it said there was a 25% restocking fee, not 35% as I was being charged. When I questioned it, I was told, "oh, we must've put up an old sign." You think!? Yes, because you didn't have it up before!! Wow! They must really need the money, because I checked with other businesses and they don't charge this restocking fee. They won't reimburse you for the exam, but don't charge a restocking fee for the frames or lenses. So, I'd recommend you go elsewhere and avoid any possible restocking fees that they come up with on the fly! 35% when your sign says 25%! At least now you know what you're in for if you choose to visit them. I also find it shady that when I mentioned I'm calling my insurance to make sure they reimburse them for the portion they paid for the frames, Chia asked that I let them know they had reimbursed me! Hello, you charged me the restocking fee! My insurance should be made whole! Spare yourselves....you've been warned. BTW- we each saw a different doctor...was that the problem!? Who knows, but if it doesn't work out, they will keep 35% of what you paid out of pocket while still wanting to keep what they've billed your insurance. They had reached out to me via email about an annual eye checkup. I went into their system set the appointment. Two weeks later I show up and am told I don't have an appointment. I show them the email confirmation and they said that if they didnt call me that I didnt have an appointment. So in essence, they have a bogus online appointment system that does not connect to them, so you can set appointments weeks in advance, take time off work in the middle of the day, just for them to tell you that they wasted your time. Completely unprofessional to have an appointment system that is connected to your own company but it does not work. What a joke. read more

I started taking my senior mother to Argo due do close proximity to our homes several years ago. The initial set of glasses she ordered a while back did not have transition that was ordered and paid for so she could use them indoor and outdoor. She took them back and was told the lab made a mistake, so they sent them back to correct. Once she got them back, there was a tint added, but they did NOT transition for indoor/outdoor use. She ended up not dealing with it due covid with the concern of going outdoors/public and also suffers from gout, but she did call and informed them of the 2nd issue of solid tint and NO transition. I took her back this week to get her and my eye exams done and to see what they would do to fix the lenses so she could have them as a backup/2nd pair and not only for outdoors since they were higher end designer frames meet for that purpose. We tried to explain to the manager Maggy, but she was very rude and continually interrupting and stating it was my mother's mistake. I was with my mother when she had her eye exam and placed the order and let her know we just wanted them/Argo to make it right and assist however they could. Maggy seems to forget that WE are the customers, and she is there to assist, listen, and provide a service. The staff there prior and current other than Maggy are very courteous and helpful. Needless to say, I walked out frustrated and did not purchase our glasses due to the rudeness, unprofessionalism, and disrespectful attitude by Maggy. She was pretty much implying that my mother and I are lying and I stated that to her. Sad that people with her type of attitude and lack of customer service skills are put into supervisor/managerial roles costing business for a decent local optometry business and over something probably not more than $50-100. I requested a call back from the owner, but I have not been contacted as of yet. We'll see how the issues is handled by the owner and I will provide and update to this post. read more

Dr. Wang is an excellent optometrists. She went above and beyond when I was having a problem with my left eye. She is patient and thorough during the exam. I have been a long time contact lense user. Since my first visit, she educated me about the proper way to clean, srore and replace my lenses. Something my previous providers neglected to explained how to b educated omfortable from the moment she greets you. My husband and my girls are also her patients . Her office has a large selection of eye glasses to chose from. I have been trusting my family's and my own eyesight to her since 2010 and we will continue to see her. She is very good with children, she eased my 6 yrs old daughter's anxiety since it was her first exam with her. If you are looking for a top notch optometrists, a big selection of eye glasses and reasonably priced, look no further. Dr. Wang will not dissapoint. Update. Unfortunately Argo Optometry is not the same. I still have all the confidence in Dr. Wang. However, the staff leaves much to desire. I had my glasses ready back in November and didn't get them until June. Due to covid I wasn't able to pick them up and they didn't agree to ship them to me, even on my dime. Luckily my husband picked them up for me so it wasn't about me having to pick them up in person. The last impression I was left with back in November was the girls gossiping about a patient, criticizing how they couldn't understand why with so many kids , the patient was spending a considerable amount of money on designer glasses with the works. i last went to this location in march of 2022 and had my eye exam and got contact lenses upon pick up we found that they over charged me and did not charge my insurance correctly and had a 150 dollar credit. Going forward today me and my family go in and get eye exam and find that they first said i used my credit for a exam then they realize upon checking there records i never came back until today and they changed there story to i was given my credit when i picked up my contact lenses but they cannot provide proof or give a date or how it was refunded i do not recommend this location they do no conduct business professional and first over charge me then refuse to provide my credit owed for my current exam read more

Dr. Charifa is awesome. It's really important to feel heard by your doctors. Dr. Charifa definitely takes the time to listen to my concerns and offers different solutions to my problems. There's never any pressure or salesy tone from her or the staff, which is much appreciated. It's different if they encourage and also share whatever promotions are happening but they never PUSH you to buy anything, which is again, soooo appreciated. I trust Dr. Charifa & highly recommend her to you; she'll take care of your optometry needs. I friggn drive out to Upland just to see her from the OC, and my rule of thumb is normally to keep everything within a 10mile radius. Well, she's worth my 35min drive. Highly disappointed in this optometrist's office. I called on 12/21 and asked for an appointment by the end of the year. They told me that someone had just cancelled and asked if I could make it that afternoon, I said I could not. They then scheduled me on 12/30 at 12:15 and asked me to go to their webpage to download the forms to bring in. I come in on 12/30 and what happens, they don't have me listed. Very annoying because I could have gone elsewhere during this time that I waited to try and visit a location nearby. This tells me that they are disorganized if a simple appointment can't be made correctly in the system. read more

The assistant who helped me with picking out frames and lenses did the same. She paid attention to my style and helped me find a frame that worked for me. I usually do not write reviews for businesses, but I feel compelled to share my experience. I am extremely disappointed in the service I have received from Argo Optometry. I went in on July 13th to do an eye exam and get my glasses updated. I ordered my glasses and paid for them in full. The glasses came in a week later. When I took them home I noticed that there was a scratch on one of the lenses. I took it back and pointed it out to one of the staff members and she said it was a scratch and they will have to send it back to the lab to fix it. She said it would take about two weeks to get the glasses back and that the office would call me when they are in. Two weeks passed and I didn't receive a call from the office, so I called them. When I called the person I spoke to could not tell me anything about my glasses, so she said they would call me back. I did get a call back from a different person and she told that my glasses were not in and that they will call me when they are in. Essentially she was telling me to stop calling that they will call me when my glasses come in. So I waited. And waited. Another two weeks passed and I still did not get a phone call from Argo Optometry about my glasses. I called the office again and was informed that my glasses came in, but they still had a scratch on them so they had to send them back to the lab. I explained that I need my glasses for work and I expected to have my glasses weeks ago. She said she would talk to her manager about putting a rush on my glasses, but she could not give me an estimate on when they would be ready. It is now September and I STILL do not have my glasses. I had to go and buy reading glasses from Target because I need glasses for work. I don't understand why I don't have the glasses I ordered and paid for and why Argo Optometry has not reached out with updates and keeping me informed once they realized that they couldn't get my glasses back to me in a timely manner. I have given them grace and patience to figure it out, but this is enough. I want my glasses done correctly or I want a refund. read more

Fantastic customer service! My partner and I arrived 20 minutes early for my appointment, and since nobody was there we were promptly seen. Paperwork was one easy page and the staff was very knowledgeable about various insurances and coverage. When I met the doctor, she seemed very caring and concerned about my health! I honestly felt like she wanted to help me; rather then simply "just do her job" she is passionate about her service. Thank you so much Dr. Wang! When it was time to pick new frames and make choices for lenses, Jasmine was invaluable. She gave honest opinions and recommendations, and I didn't feel pressured or rushed. This is key (I think!) in sales. While she was helping me, my boyfriend inquired if they accepted his insurance and since someone didn't arrive for their appointment they were able to see him right away as well! Absolutely convenient for us and very kind of them to be able to accommodate. Outside of staff, the office is also very clean, modern, and has a lot of natural light. So I have been coming to this place for a few years now and I also told my family about this optometrist due to the doctor is great. I have never had a problem with this optometrist until now. I brought in my frames to get the lens changed into my new prescription given to me by the doctor here. I dropped them off and and paid some of the payment and the rest of the payment was to be given when I picked them up. So I hadn't picked up my glasses due to I had a lot of stuff going on in my life and they were calling the wrong number to let me know they're were ready to be picked up. I believe I hadn't picked them for about 6 months. I stopped by to pick them up and when I got there Maggie told me they weren't there and they had donated them to the library due to I hadn't picked them up in 6 months. I told her are you aware those frames were ones I brought in myself and did not purchase there. I did not give them permission to donate them to the library neither did I sign anything stating if I didn't pick them up by a certain time my belongings were going to be donated! I told her she would need to replace them due to I did not purchase them there and she offered to just give me a 20 dollar discount off ones for me to purchase from them when my frames were 400 dollars. I did accept that and told her I would bring my receipt where I purchased them and someone would either have to pay for my frames or replace them I would not take anything else and all of sudden the next day she said the library found them and I could come picked them up! I have never heard of something like this happening at a optometrist. So if you leave your frames here to change the lenses beware this might happen to you. This was one of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. This is why I will not be returning here to get glasses again for me or my family. Which is sad because the doctor is great but her staff is horrible!! read more
