So a good friend of mine works at this optometrists office. That's the reason I brought me and my wife here to get our eyes checked and get new prescriptions, frames and lenses. The reason for the five star review, however, is due to the fact that everything about this place is AWESOME! My wife doesn't have vision insurance, so we've been stuck going to places like Costco to get her prescriptions, frames and lenses, and I've been with her to each appointment. You don't realize the services you're NOT getting with a place like Costco, until you visit a true optometrist's office like Dr. Simonis. Here, you'll get every test needed to properly evaluate your peepers. Way more than the mere "Close one eye and tell me what you read" and "Which one is better; one or two?" exams. I'd never been to a real optometrist before, and I felt like my eyes have never been given as much concern or consideration before. After putting me through a series of tests, I was told I didn't need glasses, however, I could try some that might help with my vision if I chose to try them out. I tried them out and guess what? I didn't realize just how crisp I could make things out with a very weak prescription. I ended up taking a pair. The staff here are all super friendly. We brought our four year old with us to our visit and everyone was so nice to her. They engaged her in conversation and explained to her what various machines and tools were used for (you know a four year old is FULL of questions when they see stuff they've never seen before). Looking here on yelp, made my decision in calling the office. I was able to get in because of a cancellation the next day!! Perfect, Wonderful, office & meant to be the right choice for me. The office staff was (are) friendly, kind, caring, helpful & listened to my concerns. I felt very comfortable & at home with them, like I'd been there forever. I've even considered to change Optometrists to Dr. Simonis, when I need my annual eye check up. Dr. Simonis is wonderful!! Made me feel at ease, comfortable, explained what might have happened to my eye. She took the time to, explain to me with, more detail of what I'm using for my dry eyes as well. Update for dad and myself (way overdue btw): Dr. Simonis is great! Friendly, patient, answered all my questions, which is the only reason I'm giving two starts, but her front office staff's attitude has definitely declined. My last "visit" there was about a year ago and I had an appointment, the reminder call came in prior to the appointment and everything was all set. Taking my lunch from work, get to the office only to be told that the doctor wasn't there and they were having some sort of meeting and couldn't see me. Now, I would have been fine with rescheduling seeing as how errors can be made, whatever. But the woman I spoke to was so rude about it I just said forget it and now go to a different office. This was a little over a year ago so I figured she could have been having a bad day or things might have changed... Until I talked to my dad about his visit a few weeks ago. He said he still loves Dr. Simonis but her staff is still the same. He won't be going to that office anymore either. read more

Yesterday I visited here and I'll just start off by saying I've never been so welcoming at any optometrist (or doctors office for that matter) like I was here. The ladies here were all so nice and very helpful from beginning to end. They didn't pressure anything on me and they worked with me. When I got there the ladies at the front were very nice. Then the lady who took me back to do the test like the air in your eye was very calm. They all seem like they love their job which makes it easier and a more pleasant environment in my opinion. The doctor was so nice to talk to. I felt like I've been going there for years with how comfortable they made my visit. Lastly I'm pretty picky when it comes to frames and every time I didn't like the bundle of glasses they brought me without question the lady went back and grabbed more. Examined by Felicia Simonis & ordered two pair of glasses, one bi-focal, the other sunglasses. Paid in full up front. Long story short, they messed up the order. Took 3 months & several calls and still didn't get both pairs. The second pair sat in the office for a month, no one bothered to call and when I called them I found out they were holding them because they had a flaw on the lens...the truth was there were many flaws in the lens. The incompetence is obvious. Don't go here. I found out later they've been paying to have the bad reviews removed. After all that, they had the nerve to tell me I was no longer welcome. My entire experience with Dr. Simonis and her staff was on point. They were very friendly from the first phone call all the way to me walking out the door after my appointment. They were very aware of cleanliness during Covid times which I greatly appreciate as not all businesses have been following proper protocols. They had a good selection of frames and this may sound trivial but you could tell their equipment was top notch. Sometimes you go in to an eye Dr and feel like you stepped back in time a few decades, but not here. Each employee took their time to talk with me about everything and I never at any point felt rushed or like I was asking too many questions or talking too much. I moved into the area a year ago and hadn't had an eye exam in years. I looked through all the reviews on Yelp looking for a new optometrist and settled on Dr. Simonis' office. Having 20+ years of wearing some sort of vision correction, Dr. Simonis is by far the best doctor I have ever visited. After my initial eye exam with Dr. Simonis, she recommended Lasik surgery for me. I was hesitant, but after wearing contact lenses for so long, I figured what the heck. She knows her stuff and there was no pressure to continue with Lasik if I wasn't comfortable. Between Pre-op and Post-op follow ups, I have been back to see her pretty close to 10 times, and the service is amazing. Dr. Simonis is very friendly and really takes the time to connect with her patients.
