Just found my new favorite optometrist! Doctor Tatum and all the staff are awesome. Went there for an eye exam. The doctor was very thorough in checking my eyes. He's funny too and very chill! Haven't been to an optometrist in a few years but knew I needed glasses for the first time. The doctor was so friendly. I got designer glasses that were on sale and ended up being within the allowance of my insurance, so only had to pay copay. They don't try to upsell you at all. I also didn't know my vision insurance info and the front desk ladies were extremely helpful and understanding. Great visit! read more

2 stars just because the doctor knew what he was doing and was funny but the lady in the front has MAJOR attitude. I was happy to finally find an optometrist next to me that was willing to order glasses that they didn't have on display. My initial visit was perfect and everyone was so friendly. I ordered a pair of glasses and was told they would arrive in 3-5 days. And so they did. I picked them up on a Thursday.. didn't drive with them until Friday night and while driving Friday night I couldn't see from the amount of dots that there were based on the colors that were in front of me! If there were red brake lights in front of me then red dots were appearing all over my glasses.. green lights then green dots appearing all over. I thought for a second something was wrong with my eyes.. I give them to my mom to try and same thing. I give them my sister to try and she realizes the same thing and says something is wrong with your glasses for sure. They were closed on the weekend so I bring them in on Monday and the lady in the front tells me nothing is wrong with them.. I'm sorry but are you the one trying to drive with these at night? You go try driving with them and then tell me whether or not something is wrong with them.. why would someone even come back and complain in the first place if nothing was wrong with them! Especially when they are frames I personally ordered and liked! Then she mentions it's because I didn't get anti-glare.. I've NEVER gotten anti-glare in any pairs of glasses I've ever had and I mentioned that to her. She didn't believe me and had the audacity to ask me to get my old prescription from the car so she can check. Why would I even lie about something like this? So I went and got them and surely they didn't have anti-glare. After going back and forth about nothing being wrong with them she agrees to send them back to the lab. I finally call today to check if they are ready and they are. I got them and just returned from a drive just to test them. Same exact problem. There are dots everywhere and this isn't an anti-glare issue unless they do this on purpose to get you to pay the extra for that feature. But I've never experienced such cheap quality lenses at any optometrist I've ever been to! I will not be returning to this optometrist simply because of the lenses and the lady I dealt with on Monday that took my glasses back to have them sent back to the lab has absolutely no customer service skills and needs to be educated on how to treat patients. Their own website claims professional eye care in a comfortable and friendly environment. I didn't feel comfortable nor friendly vibes from her. read more

It's time for my yearly check up but this time I will be going somewhere else. The lady who's always in the front has always an attitude. Rude and lacks a lot of customer service. I would recommend the attorney general review this office's billing practices. They want prior eye prescriptions so it is easier and they do not have to "bill" the patient more for an initial exam. The initial exam should have included an initial work-up. They may be fraudulently billing patients and insurance for time/effort not spent with patients. Meaning, they are really doing a standard office visit but billing for an initial visit. read more

I have been recently diagnosed with keratoconus and came across Dr Tatum and Trezza. After sending my medical records from various doctors over, I called to confirm their receipt. Debbie was just too busy to confirm this information and did not offer to confirm at a later time and call me back. During the day prior to the appointment, I had a question regarding whether this doctor can treat my diagnosis or whether I should find an ophthalmologist. Again, she was short and rude. She cut me off and asked if I would like her to cancel my appointment. She practically hung up the phone before I could say yes. Not going here! That's for sure. read more

The office is very nice and the doctor is great.. But... I ordered glasses and was told 7 to 10 days.. At 2 weeks I called to ask where my glasses were.. They said that with the 4 of July holiday they hadn't gotten around to sending out the order ( I ordered almost a week before the 4th). So now I'll wait even longer and they didn't even offer an apology or anything to make the situation right. The doctor was great but that's not how the front office should treat people. Update: took just over 3 weeks to get my glasses. No apology or compensation for the wait. Great doctor but the front end isn't so great. read more

My husband and I have been patients of Drs Tatum & Trezza for over 5 years. They listen to their patients and do not charge them more than what is necessary, unlike other optometry offices. We were patients in their La Verne office and we were sad when we found out the office was sold. After trying the new owner of their old office, we decided that Tatum & Trezza were much more in tuned with customer service. Luckily, they were happy to accept their La Verne patients. Their Rancho Cucamonga office is nicely decorated, the staff are friendly, and they have a wide selection of glasses. It is worth driving the 15 miles. read more

I had a fantastic experience on my first visit. The staff was very friendly. Dr. Tatum was amazing. He was very informative and honest with me. We also talked about my daughter's strabismus. He told me that the specialist she is seeing is one of the best! He gave me additional information that was very helpful and we are coming up with a plan to have a team of specialists review her case as she may require additional surgery. Also, his staff spent a good deal of time with me making sure we found the exact right frames that looked good on my face. I really appreciate that since not many glasses are a good fit for my face shape. However, we found the perfect pair. Doctor Tatum also checked on me after meeting with everyone of his patients. He provided excellent customer service. Thank you doctor for not only helping me, but taking an interest in my daughter. read more

Great doctors. My mom has been with them for 20 years and I have been going to them for 6 years. Never had a problem at their la verne office but the past two times I have gone to Rancho, the receptionists have been horrible. They are inattentive and it's frustrating because I work in customer service. It's not that difficult to look up and greet someone when they walk in, and it is really not that hard to look up and tell someone you will be right with them instead of leaving them standing at the desk looking like an idiot for over five minutes. read more
